First founded as a research project funded by the Eternal Empire into biological research on Zonama Sekot, the company quickly grew after early successes into a driving force in bioengineering and cloning technology, with some of the most versatile and useful agricultural products on the market. From fast-growing crops to dedicated insectoid pollinators, to soil enrichment bacteria, the young Bioworks provided a steady source of income to the world, as well as revenue for the Eternal Empire. The face the company shows to the outside galaxy is one of a forward thinking and vibrant biotech company, while in reality, more and more of the company's focus is on military applications for the Eternal Empire's campaigns. From bioengineered lifeforms, clone soldiers, and the creation of new plagues and toxins, the Bioworks is a horrorworks of great proportion.
RATIONALE
When the Nightsister Ambrosia Iota swore allegiance to the Eternal Empire, she never imagined her role would lead her to the resources to pursue her lifelong dreams. Granted the rank of Field Marshal and Baroness of Zonama Sekot, she was charged to do her duty to the Empress. Her first creation was Sekotan Bioworks, and using her knowledge and experience, Ambrosia quickly grew the young company with advances in agriculture, which aided many emerging worlds and colonies, and brought wealth and further business growth. The cover established, the Dark Sister began her military research, where the eyes of the galaxy were elsewhere, and the Bioworks could create new weapons and advantages for the Eternal Empire. While the day to day operations of Sekotan Bioworks and the public face are taken care of by well compensated staff, the majority of the company's operations continue quietly, secretly, producing the latest biocreations based on many of the creations of the seven cortexes of the Yuuzhan Vong. Sekotan Bioworks are constantly reverse-engineering the genomes of many species to build up a database of a myriad of sentient, semi-sentient and even non-sentient species. Armed with the plethora of knowledge, the scientists are free to create anything that might serve a military purpose, and it is from their dark research that the horrors created by Sekotan Bioworks come to life upon an unsuspecting galaxy, and the enemies of the Eternal Empire.
