It comes equipped with a main hotel wing, several kitchens, a laundromat, a ballroom, a medical wing, a small office wing, a droid maintenance bay, a docking station, an indoor pool with a gym, and several other modern amenities. Almost the entire facility has been furnished with protocol and specialty droids provided by The Confederacy of Independent Systems.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
-Planetary Landing System: The Selah is a space station that can easily transform itself into a planetary compound. Upon landing on a suitable world the station is able to effectively drill out an area where it can fit the station. Once the station has completed drilling and terraforming {a process that takes at least twenty-four hours} the station's top platform will be flush with the surrounding landscape. The transparisteel dome will then retract into the station and a large durasteel fence will rise to protect the dome's perimeters.
-SCI: The Station Controller Intelligence is a standard artificial intelligence unit that operates the space station. In direct control of the droid staff and primary functions she works at the behest of [member="Scherezade deWinter"]. A bubbly personality who tends to be a bright part of most people's day she is extremely reliant and efficient in her management of the station. She specifically takes in interest in [member="Scherezade deWinter"]'s personal well being and stability and can be considered somewhat of a motherly caretaker to her friend and compatriot.
Strengths:
- Unseen On Sensors: Due to the thick coating of Reflec that is on this ship, it is extremely difficult to detect. Most sensors and radars will not pick the station up and it will simply register as a minor anomaly.
- Extreme Defenses: The Selah has a state of the art defense network that is designed to keep it safe in the most pressing of times. Specifically built to be able to defend from piracy, the station is comprised of some of the most advanced defense systems that could be found.
- Slow and Steady: Due to it's massive size, this space station is extremely slow in terms of basic mobility and hyperspace travel. The Selah has a substandard Hyperdrive which allows the massive vessel to slip in and out of Hyperspace, however it is considered slow for it's size.
- Unarmed: As this station serves a primary purpose as a civilian station it does not have any exterior weaponry or security systems that can engage enemy targets.
The Selah was a prototype Biodome space station that was stolen from Dynetech Industries by a band of pirates. The station was meant to serve as an active Refugee relocation center that could also double as a temporary homestead for war orphans. It includes a small hotel wing that is capable of housing hundreds of refugees comfortably and thousands in a cramped setting. The biodome also has a generous living quarter for the station's Captain. The bio-dome is intended to be able to land on a planet's surface and slowly carve itself into the terrain, once it has been leveled off to where the top platform is flush with the terrain, it will lower the transparisteel dome and raise a perimeter fence.
