AGE: 36
GENDER: No real preference
HEIGHT: 5'7"
WEIGHT: 130lb
EYES: Depends (born with blue eyes)
HAIR: Depends
SKIN: Depends (born with greenish yellow skin)
FORCE SENSITIVE: Nope
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
- Close Enough to be an Ace: While not a highly skilled pilot, they can still outfly, say, a giant space worm or a TIE fighter.
- Techno-what?: When it comes to mechanical things, like fixing a speeder or something, Sem is the best reference to turn to. When it comes to computers that are not space computers, or when it comes to hacking a terminal, they wouldn't know where to start.
- Sorry, Bigg'uns Only: Thanks to the years they spent as a pirate, Semziru is incredibly accurate with turrets or vehicle-mounted weaponry. But blasters? Hrmm....
- The Pistachio Disguisey of Star Wars: Obviously, being a Clawdite means Sem can take on a variety of appearances. However, their preference is for humanoids and Near-Humans because of the relative lack of pain. See, every time a Clawdite shifts, it hurts. The pain will never go away, but by taking on the appearance of individuals whose physiological makeup is similar to theirs, they can make the pain manageable. That said, they cannot grow horns, lethorns, headtails, etc. Only hair. Nor can they add physical mass to their structure.
- Killing Can Be Bad for Your Health: Semziru disproves greatly of unnecessary killing. While they understand the need to sometimes do away with people, the Clawdite does not condone the act of killing innocents, especially children. This is tied in with the general dislike of oppression of anyone that all Clawdites have.
- Gimme my Sealegs!: Having spent most of their lifetime aboard some ship or another, Sem is subjected to discomfort whilst travelling on land. In fact, after a certain period of time spent in a ship, the first initial moments after getting off can be rather nauseous for the Clawdite.
- It's Sew Much Fun! A strange hobby for a Clawdite of their caliber and background, Sem has picked up the art of sewing in order to keep their hands busy during rare moments of downtime. Though not in the habit of bragging about their talent -- they can, after all, make a mean cross-stitch -- they aren't ashamed of it, either.
- There's this Little Thing Called Modesty, You See: Unlike their counterpart, Jace, Semziru doesn't have an inflated ego or anything like that. This is a major plus for the duo, as the Clawdite's more level-headed and down-to-earth attitude balances Jace's tendency towards recklessness, as well as softening the effects of his cockiness. Even so, their sarcasm can rival even the best of them.
APPEARANCE: As a Clawdite, Semziru's appearance constantly changes. One thing that stays constant, however, is their relative mass (however, they can shift their body matter around, particularly when changing height). Out in public, they take on one of the listed forms below. However, when by their self or around those with whom they are close to, Sem will remain in their Clawdite form.
No -- they share a ship with [member="Jace Stardasher"]
BIOGRAPHY: (I will refer to Sem as a "he" in this section simply for the sake of avoiding confusion. However, the "he" [which may appear again in threads when Sem is in their Clawdite form] will always be used in the same way that Ursula LeGuin refers to her Gethens)
37 years ago, two Clawdites working on a pirate ship got together and made life. For better or for worse, that life was Semziru Nar.
The Clawdite's childhood was constantly surrounded by pirates, but for the most part he was protected from the worst of it. One parent was the cook, while the other kept stock of the booty the pirates collected. Semziru's parents rarely went out on raids, and prayed that their child wouldn't, either. But alas, their prayers weren't heard.
By the time Semziru was a young teenager, it was discovered that he was an adept at turrets and other artillery of the sorts. Since the life expectancy of a gunman was only marginally higher than the close-quarters combatants, a position soon opened up and Sem was in the thick of things. As the years progressed, he was also assigned to boarding crews and was increasingly reliant on his shapeshifting abilities.
And yet, no one but his parents knew that Sem did not like that life. He did not like taking lives, and he disliked the brutality of his fellow crewmates.
Enter the charmingly arrogant [member="Jace Stardasher"].
A week after his 30th birthday, Sem was part of a party attempting to commandeer and raid a space yacht filled with wealthy individuals. Making use of his abilities, the Clawdite was the one designated to disabling the ship from the inside. While on his mission, though, he met a very curious individual -- Jace Stardasher. The saying "it takes one to know one" never rang truer than in that instant, for both recognized each other for what they were.
It didn't take very much for Jace to convince Semziru to join him, and the pair have been inseparable ever since.
