STRENGTHS
Lightsaber: Very good at cutting through a wide range of materials.
Dual Phase Functionality: Both lightsabers can be manually adjusted in height and intensity due to the dual-phase functionality. In addition, both lightsabers are capable of switching their primary crystal, alternating between the Ghostfire and Opila crystals.
Ghostfire Crystal: Causes the lightsaber to produces a completely silent, very translucent blade of energy. Can cause the user and blade to appear as an illusory after image during combat. Perfect for being sneaky.
Opila Crystal: Produces a sky blue blade of intense energy with exceptionally high cutting power. Perfect for being less sneaky.
Discharge Energy Cell: Specialized power cell that allows the user to increase the energy output of the lightsaber, therein making the impact of their attacks more powerful.
Cortosis Immunity: Having been built without dimetris circuits in their activation loop, both lightsabers are immune to the cascading feedback issues that coming into contact with Cortosis would normally initiate.
WEAKNESSES
Select Materials: Certain materials such as phrik, beskar and songsteel prove to be resistant against the cutting power of a lightsaber. While immune to the shorting effect of cortosis, the metal also still retains its ability to withstand glancing lightsaber strikes.
Water Proofing: Or a distinct lack thereof. These blades cannot function under water and will quickly short out if/when completely submerged.
DESCRIPTION
While technically her second and third lightsabers, with her first being lost during the mad rush exodus on Thyferra, her current pair have been an irreplaceable tool and inanimate companion for Seniya Nehir since her waning days with the New Jedi Order. Despite Seniya having since parted ways with the Order after the fall of the Alliance, she was unable to do the same with her lightsabers. Utilizing them even during her troubled stint with the Kiffu Guardians on her homeworld, and even now in her current self-imposed ‘exile’ on Terminus.
In terms of construction, the lightsabers themselves are fairly straight forward and spartan in design. Drab Duranium housing with intermittent highlighted hints of Bronzium, wrapped with black Rycrit leather.
The dual-phase functionality allows Seniya to modulate the blade length and intensity, switching between the two primary crystals. The sky blue Opila blade being more suited to everyday situations, as well as certain aspects of combat, while the almost invisible translucent blade created by the Ghostfire being understandably a former Jedi Shadow’s best friend. The addition of a discharge energy cell was a last minute detail, allowing Seniya to further build upon the aggressively heavy strikes that characterize her favored style of Form V.
