Sentinel Corporation was founded as a company with the intent of bettering lives. They don't hope to achieve this through manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or other such methods, but through the offering of security. Comprised of individuals with vetted law enforcement backgrounds, or experience in private investigation, only the best of the best get to become a Sentinel. Even if selected, Sentinel's are put through rigorous training before being allowed to serve. This training includes: strength and agility, weapons, combat, stealth, security and investigation.
The company offers private security forces to individuals, groups, companies, politicians, and even governments on a selective basis. They will not serve to protect known criminals or anyone with a reputation for causing harm to innocent civilians. If they discover, through the course of their security work, that they are serving to protect such an individual, Sentinels are tasked with evaluating the situation and determining whether apprehension of the subject is appropriate. If it is, they will do so and turn the person over to local law enforcement, along with evidence discovered to support the apprehension. If the person is not worthy of apprehension, Sentinels will immediately abandon their post, and all funds allocated to the corporation for their services will be retained.
The company also offers private investigative services to those in need, who are too scared to go to the local authorities, are unable to go to local authorities, don't trust local authorities, or have previously been rejected by local authorities. Generally, two Sentinel's work as a team to investigate the situation for safety purposes. Sentinel's do not investigate individuals for marital fidelity reasons, their focus is on investigation of crime or similar high risk situations.
