Sentinel Question

Jora Vao

Guest
The Sentinels lack a group apart from the Shadows. My character aspires to become a Sentinel Watchman but do not know which group to join.

Very nice choice for the specialization, Kenshi is becoming a Watchman as well.

Considering the political and social duties that Watchmen have to perform, I placed Kenshi under the Diplomat category for the time being. However, your character can also train in many other areas like saber combat and whatnot.

Hope that answers your question! :)

It is a good question and well in truth... most people don't go beyond sentinel. There are shadows sure but most don't know the other sub sets enough to really do anything. So it has never come up just like how there was only one jedi investigator and they just got lopped in with the shadows.

I currently "call" myself a Sentinel but really only because I have tried to make Xander stand on the line between a Guardian and Sentinel. Really we do have them, but we don't go further as [member="Saki"] said.

I would be happy to create a Sentinel subgroup if that is what members would like to RP... easy enough to do. After all we are here to enjoy RP, in whatever capacity one would like and the job of the admins is to help this along.

let me know and thine will be done.!

Titles? Well we could go the canon route, or just make up some.

And if nobody else takes it, I would be willing. I need to amp up my muse and so doing more things can do that.

Edit: or if [member="Syn"] wants it

for watchmen it was really not a structure and more a single person overseeing a sector for force sensitives. It was what they gave to honored jedi and the ones who did many things of merit.

Sentinels often worked alone or in very small groups, so a leadership structure wouldn't be extremely necessary but could clear up command problems. A Watchman is always an extension of the Jedi High Council as well, so they pretty much can do whatever they want under their client planet without Council approval.

If it were me, I would have a Master level Watchman watch over a sector and Knights/Padawans over individual planets within a sector.

Bing Correct!

Bing also correct. BUT they have to preform their actions in the best interests of the Council. Think like a Champion in the name of the Sith Emperor. Acts in the name of the guy(s) above them.

Agreed. But then we also will have to assign Knights with apprentice learners under them to each a planet. As of now, I don't think we have that many people to spread around. That's the only thing I have against this idea.

That's a good thing. Not every planet in the Republic had a Watchman, but most of the outer ones did. We barely have any Watchmen hopefuls here and our territory is already small, so it's an easily fixable problem. If it becomes a problem, we can always assign Knight level Watchmen to take charge over more than a single planet.

I like it and well this would be a positions of partial fluff. No one would require a watchmen to be rped with if they want to be found and brought in. You could do that but it would be optional or at least should be.
