The Capping Ceremony, usually at the beginning or end of each month, is a tradition long held by Star Wars Role-play Chaos. It's based off of military tradition, as are most things Staff-wise here at SWRP Chaos, when an executive commander can insta-promote a loyal and hard working member. Obviously, this cannot be done with Non-Force Users, but even though it's a biased sort of tradition it's still one that we hold every month.
I hold this tradition to continue to instill in the community that though your opinions and standards may be high, that though your opinions may differ - we're all here to have fun. Ranks aren't quite so important in the long run as you may think. What is important is that people come to a role-play board where they feel free to express their desire to role-play and create things of a mind that would not exist in real life. People come here to escape life's woes, to live out a fantasy, to write, or to indulge in their fandom of Star Wars.
"Does that person really deserve this Rank?" That's a question we all ask, but a lot of us forget how we attained that rank ourselves. Whether because you were gaming buddies with the Jedi High Council, you slipped the Role-play Judges a couple of extra credits under the table, or you were just generally awesome in a short amount of time - everyone's got a story. Everyone earns it a different way.
These two individuals earned it because when people were asked "Who should get promoted?", these names stood out.
[member="Darth Banshee"], I am proposing to cap you to Sith Master from Sith Knight. You may decline for whatever reason.
[member="Zaren Bouqi"], I am proposing to cap you to Jedi Master from Jedi Knight. You may decline for whatever reason.
Regardless if you two decline or not, congratulations on standing out from the crowd.
