(+) Pyrokinesis: Sera is exceptionally skilled with Pyrokinesis, capable of creating large amounts of fire with tight control over their shape and direction. (+) Forgery: Having taught herself from an early age, Sera is highly skilled in forging documentation and credentials of all types including but not limited to civilian and military. She puts this to use as her primary method of employment, offering forging services at a high price.
(+) Umbaran Traits: Like all Umbarans, Sera was born with an innate ability to subtly manipulate the decisions and behaviors of others, something granted an even greater advantage when combined with force powers based on mind manipulation. In addition she has excellent low-light and ultraviolet vision.
(+/-) Smart-Mouthed: While a sharp sense of humor and habit of making quick retorts can come in handy, it’s equally capable of getting Sera into trouble, and often does.
(+/-) Evasiveness: Avoiding violence is something that Sera excels at, despite her capacity to protect herself. After all, a violent criminal draws far more attention than a non-violent one, and she's capable of using various methods, force-enhanced or technological, to get herself out of sticky situations and hide her identity. Unfortunately her temper can get her into those exact kinds of situations, making evasion difficult.
(-) Temper: While normally relaxed and bearing a party-loving demeanor, Sera boasts a fiery temper that, once stoked, can result in serious problems, not just for those on the receiving end, but for her as well.
(-) Hedonistic: While she doesn’t go out of her way to partake, Sera isn’t one to turn down various types of spice when offered, in addition to her proclivity towards alcohol and cigarettes, and partying in general, even when such behaviors aren’t exactly prudent.
(-) Melee Combat: Despite learning how to shoot, and very well, from her older brother, Sera isn’t much for hand-to-hand combat or fighting with melee weapons. Even as a force user she’s woefully unskilled with a lightsaber, preferring to utilize combat-oriented Force powers and blasters or other ranged weapons to get herself out of a situation where violence is unavoidable.
Born into the House of Deechi, a prominent Umbaran family and high ranking in the castes of her home planet, Sera grew up with an excellent education and training, though early on she found herself rebelling against her family and culture’s tradition. Shunning the typical crowd that attended the balls and galas of Umbaran high society she started out by using her budding yet untrained Force powers, which she kept hidden from her family, to spy on others, gathering information to use as blackmail. Small things at first, utilizing ill behaviors of others to manipulate extra treats after dinner, or a small advantage in children’s games.
Eventually, however, as Sera grew so did her needs, and in her teens she began to experiment with spice, finding a quick liking for the Millaflower and the freedoms granted by escaping her family’s shadow. Despite her connection with her older brother [member="Amari Deechi"] who taught her how to shoot she eventually fled home at 15, utilizing faked documentation to gain entry onto a transport off-world. Her first destination was Zeltros, where she used most of the family money she’d taken with her within her first month there on the expensive Millaflower spice and partying. Before long Sera found herself in need of credits, something she corrected by falling into the criminal world, a place where her forgery skills came of use and in high demand. Eventually taking up the alias of Fara Johani she became a common face on the capital city’s club circuit.
It was in a nightclub called Aroma that she met a woman who changed her life: Yverha. A Zeltron woman, fellow criminal, and a rogue former Jedi, she caught on to Sera’s connection to the force and quickly took the Umbaran under her wing, noting early on her proclivity towards Force powers relating to stealth and fire. Eager to improve her abilities, Sera threw everything she had into her training, quickly becoming masterful in her control of pyrokinetic abilities as well as several others that she found substantial to her criminal lifestyle. Despite finding high success with her control over various powers, she never found success behind a lightsaber, and entirely eschewed training with it after a length of time failing at it. In their travels, training in various environments on different planets, the pair picked up others who shared their vagrant criminal lifestyle, eventually forming a small crew that made their living off their individual abilities, bouncing from place to place and taking jobs individually and as a group.
