NAME: Seraa (princess, burning one) Akimill Mereel Vestra
FACTION: New Jedi Order
RANK: Padawan, daughter of Lady Aria Vestra of the Iridescent Spires, Duchess of Ios.
SPECIES: Mandalorian Human … mostly.
AGE: 18
SEX: Female/single.
HEIGHT: a towering 5’10 or 177.8 cm; much taller than your average Jedi Lady.
WEIGHT: a solid, well built 150 pounds or 68 kg. She is not a light thing; no throwing her over your shoulder unless you are monstrously tall and strong.
EYES: Her mother’s eyes; antiqued bronze, but with gold flakes.
HAIR: Black as night, like her father’s. Several shades darker than her mother’s.
SKIN: Dusky.
VOICE: Rich, warm alto with flawless diction. Voice color: #1BC00D
FORCE SENSITIVE: Exceedingly so. She is not sneaking up on any other Force User.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Force Sensitive: Seraa is deeply connected to the Force, aware of the world around her in an almost instinctual manner. Movement can be telegraphed to her through the simplest of vibrations, and emotional auras are so natural a part of every interaction that she can be very hard to lie to, sneak up on or surprise. She has worked upon this empathy/awareness extensively, seeking to be able to read the aura of places, groups and even worlds, with the goal of being able to talk to or bond with World Souls.
Diplomatic: Unlike many young Jedi, Seraa has been raised to be aware of how the world works. She is neither an ivory tower intellectual nor an isolated, lonely child prodigy. While she carries a triple helping of arrogance, stubbornness and pride, she is reminded over and over that there are no easy answers, and that the Force is not the answer to every problem.
Compassionate: Knowing how the world really works, loving her mother and Master so deeply, has opened up Seraa to understand what ordinary people have to lose. Why even one death is devastating, and losing a home heart-breaking. The flip side to her compassion is that the has difficulty walking away from a problem. She is nearly driven to act, to interfere, to step into situations where her own brand of power may not even help at all.
Educated: She has had the benefits of a well-rounded, classical education, not merely the ascetic up-bringing of the typical Jedi. Literature, books, movies …. clubbing. And she spreads this contamination of culure and compassion to any friend, teacher or mentor who drifts too close.
Noble: Her mother is a Noble, with the wealth, power, luxury and responsibilities of that position. Seraa loves the finer things of life, relishing in every luxury and privilege, though the Temple has made certian she can live without it as well. But even more than the comfort it offers, the upbringing has reinforced her sense of responsibility to others, and her confidence (often misplaced) that she can handle any situation.
Attached: Seraa loves her mother very, very much. For her, she would walk away frm the Order or watch the world burn. At the same time, it is Aria’s devotion and principles that inspire Seraa to be the best Jedi she can.
Passionate and Emotional: Born with all of the passion and zeal inherent in a Mandalorian, the strict regime and training of the New Jedi Order has not been able instill the proper Jedi detachment or the level head expected of a Jedi Consular.
Force Sensitive: The Force is a living, breathing part of her at all times, rather than something she opens herself to at need. This complicates some training, inhibits certain skills (such as accurately deciphering the meaning of a Force Vision) but more critically she is very vulnerable to the emotions/status/Force-Aura of places, large groups of people, and those powerfully imbued in the Force. These can affect her much as currents do the ocean, from mirroring her mood, to making her cranky or unsettled in a Dark-aspected place, or too trusting and lethargic in a Light-aspected one.
Pushes Boundaries of Knowledge: Seraa finds the Force fascination in a way few others do, even amongst the Jedi and Sith. She is always seeking to understand it, to harmonize with it more honestly and fully. She asks questions, tests, and pushes the limits of both what she is allowed to do, and what is known of the Force. This can lead her into taking risks both with herself, and for the sake of recovering rare tomes and artifacts.
Fear: So many Jedi walk such lonely, miserable path. She fears the studied calm of the Jedi Masters as a sort of internal defeat, and the ascetic isolation of the Jedi as a slow, steady path to the Dark Side. For if you don’t care for anyone, how can you empathize those the Jedi are to help? And if you only are allowed to be close to your Master or Padawan, and they die, how do you avoid hating the people they died for?
Craves: Seraa wants a circle of friends; a real life, a family. For her Mother to be allowed to fall in love and get married. She might well do any number of things to bring such a thing to pass.
