APPEARANCE:
Serah tends to wear the same white dress, an indication as her status as a slave. If told to she’ll wear whatever else is needed. She also usually keeps her hair in pigtails, though again would change if told to.
BIOGRAPHY:
Obviously the life of a slave is nothing to envy. And what was worse for Serah was that she, unlike her mother, was born into a life of servitude. Her mother, Kelina, had been bought by a criminal gang leader after she and the people of her village were taken prisoner by slavers. The leader, a human named Kedahn, had taken full advantage of having a lovely zeltron slave all to his own. But all of this had led to the outcome of his ‘private actions’, leading to Serah’s birth.
Now conflicted with the fact he’d given birth to a daughter Kedahn had no true idea what to do with her. Technically she was his, both by birth and by right of ownership, yet to know he was the master of his own child had not exactly been something he was keen on. But this was also a something he needed to keep from his men knowing, due to the idea of them thinking he would grow too soft.
As she grew Serah still served Kedahn, he forcing her mother to keep her connection to him a secret. However he did tend to treat her better and even began to give her an education. Despite all of this Serah was still a slave, something Kelina didn’t approve of. If her daughter had the right then she should be freeded, especially with Kedahn being her father. But Serah didn’t know this enough. All she knew was how to take orders and to be a servant, something both Kelina and Kedahn worried about.
When she was old enough both of them agreed to tell her the truth but this planned was foiled because of an attack by a rival gang. In the ensuing fight both Kedahn and Kelina were killed, Serah seeing both and feeling the pain of her losses. While she did not know he was her father Serah was hurt to lose her master, as well as her own mother. The sudden emotional shock of all of this unleashed the hidden power within Kelina, sleeping within her all these years. She could use the force.
She’d unleashed her powers in a rage against the rival gang, killing most and scaring off the others in the process. Once they were gone and the survivors were few Serah had calmed, not fully sure of what she’d just done. With their leader gone and most of them dead Kedahn’s gang had dispersed, unsure of what to do with Serah. She, herself didn’t know and resorted to the only thing she could: finding a new master.
Her search brought her to the one whom she now serves, both as a servant and as a student in the ways of the force.
