Seraphim
Basic Information
Brief History (OOC Knowledge):
In the Days of the Old Republic,
Valery Noble
was recruited into the secretive Jedi Shadow specialization after she proved to be a very capable Jedi Guardian. Her combative skills especially shined against the many Sith who fought on the frontlines of the ongoing Galactic war, and this prompted the Master Shadow to bring her into the specialization to begin her training. Her training to become a fully-fledged Shadow included learning Force techniques to make her more stealthy, defensive, and offensive techniques against the Dark Side, more general infiltration/exfiltration tactics, and general combat training.
After completing her training and slowly but gradually gaining much experience, unforeseen events would have her enter a long time of stasis, taking her from the Old Republic and far into the future. While she needed time to adjust at first, the Battle of Coruscant and its aftermath motivated her back into action, her duties as a Shadow included. From the Galactic Empire's War with the Maw to the borders between the Silver Jedi and the former Sith Empire, Valery became incredibly active in finding and destroying followers of the Dark Side, as well as their creations.
So much so, that the Silver Jedi decided to bring her into the position of Master Shadow. For this task, Valery adopted her old Shadow identity as Seraphim and removed all ties between it and her actual identity. For the Silver Jedi, it meant that she could serve as a proper, traditional Master Shadow - one who is off-record and nearly impossible to trace due to a lack of a digital footprint.
To her personally, it allows her Shadow operations with the Silvers to be separate from those with other Jedi groups, such as the Shadows of the GA. This way, the Master is able to keep tabs on all Jedi borders with forces of the Dark Side and be a shield against them. Furthermore, it offers her a better position from which she can look internally into the Jedi, and prevent her fellow Jedi from falling, with more extreme measures if necessary.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Master Shadow: As the leader of the Silver Shadows, Seraphim has become especially proficient at finding and hunting anything related to the Dark Side. This includes but is not limited to Sith and artifacts. In her duties, stealth is essential, as well as highly specialized combative skills. Seraphim is as much a warrior as she is a Shadow.
- Decisive: To be a Jedi Shadow, and to be a leader, one must be decisive. Through Seraphim's experience, she has learned to make quick decisions in the heat of the moment, where others may get overwhelmed.
- Off-record: There are no records that tie Seraphim to her real identity, and the vast majority of the assignments she's involved in are off-record as well. Only the SJC Council is aware of more regarding her and the missions her Shadows complete.
Weaknesses
- Identity: While her true identity is unknown, there is always the risk that someone finds out who she is. If that were to happen, it'd compromise her position completely, and force her to step down.
- Hyper-focus: Due to her hyper-focus on developing combative skills, she has not been able to Master many things outside of it. She is not very capable of using technology, and various types of Force abilities that don't have combative use, she has barely studied if at all.
