- Structure Name: Serenity's Reach
- Classification: Safe house/Shelter, Rehabilitation Center
- Location: In the mountains of Lirra
- Affiliation: Aida Aquila
- Accessibility: Far away from any resort cities, it is off the grid, nestled in the mountains of Lirra. It was meant to be difficult to locate, a measure of protection for those that stay there. It is accessible by mountain hike, and there is space for one ship nearby. While not heavily guarded, it is home to a Jedi Master and his companions. To protect those seeking shelter, it is not a widely known location—most would need the coordinates from Aida herself. The chances of stumbling across this place would be rare.
- Description: A secluded mountain sanctuary, tucked away in the wilderness of Lirra – far off from the densely populated areas of the world. It is a place of peace, a temple, sanctuary, and safe house. The structures are simple and rustic, made to blend into the surroundings. And, the area is home to tranquil mineral hot springs. Aida made the Reach to be a safe place where those in need could rest and heal, especially to recover from trauma—it features small fountains, quiet areas for meditation, and a small courtyard for gathering.
Housing: The largest building on the site is dedicated for housing. There are some small private rooms, as well as spaces with a many beds to accommodate larger groups – these spaces also become triage center, if needed. Amenities are comfortable, but they are fairly rustic.
Healing Center: A small building situated near the mineral springs is a healing center. There are a few small healing crystals available for use, and Master Alavai is a skilled healer himself. The space is limited, there are only two beds available here.
Mineral Springs: Quite a few mineral hot springs are located in the area, with a large spring within the Reach itself. The hot springs are open to anyone visiting Serenity's Reach, they are quite a tranquil way to relax. There are private stalls adjacent to the springs for changing into appropriate swim attire.
Courtyard: There is an open gathering space near the middle of the Reach, a peaceful space that is perfect for a bit of meditation. The area features a fire pit, where Aida delights in cooking outdoors.
SECURITY
Medium: Jedi master Dorn Alavai (NPC) watches over the Reach, and two to three Knights (NPCs) accompany him.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Serenity's Reach began as a small base camp, a place to hide slaves rescued from the Hutts on Lirra. Here, tucked in the woods, Aida Aquila kept them sheltered and cared for as they awaited transport to safe houses elsewhere. With such few comforts available, Aida cooked basic meals over a fire to help lift spirits. The hot springs brought the former slaves a sense of well-being, too. When it was time to leave, it surprised Aida to learn that some former slaves were reluctant to go; they enjoyed staying here. While the traveling Jedi Master had visited many worlds throughout her life, she had to admit that this secluded spot in the mountains was rather special.
Aida worked to keep this location safe, she told only her most trusted friends and allies. Over several years, with the help of Jedi Master Dorn Alavai, they transformed their simple base camp into a place of peace. They replaced tents with simple living quarters and expanded the compound to include a healing center and courtyard. Throughout it all, Aida and Dorn kept the area wild, taking advantage of the forested location within the mountains.
Now, Serenity's Reach is home to many. Aida—and close allies—bring those rescued from slavery or traumatic situations to the Reach to recover. They have time to heal mentally and physically and are free to remain there as long as they wish. Many leave after they feel stable. Master Alavai keeps watch over Serenity's Reach in Aida's place now, but she returns as often as she can.
