Prophet of Bogan
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Operations involving dense populations were not at all uncommon for the Order of Wonosa even in their earlier days, with cities across the Outer Rim being necessary targets for their missions against criminals from the very beginning. Additionally later on when populations began needing to be policed both by the Auxiliary Legion and the Inquisition Troopers the need for dedicated equipment for urban environments became all the more apparent. Shields both physical and energy would be handed out to the aforementioned forces but aside from a simple Durasteel shield nothing saw proper production.
After the founding of Sanguine Defense Works however, and with the need to expand product diversity in order to make steady profits, designs for a mass-producible energy shield both for their own forces as well as their new market quickly entered into prototyping phases. Several models soon converged into fairly similar designs until finally one was selected above all for its combination of cheap and easy production with reliable protection.
The Serjek, the Sith word for "guard", serves as a fairly standard but reliable model of personal energy shield. The projector itself has been tuned and modified for additional energy protection against most handheld blasters and is encased in reinforced yet light layers of Duraplast and Durasteel, giving the vambrace not only exceptional protection even without the shield active but also allowing for it to have a good resistance to Ion and EMP attacks in order to keep it running. The recharge rate is notably rather slow and as such it isn't ideal for constant use throughout the day but it is reliably serviceable for quick or even somewhat prolonged defense in a variety of combat situations.

- Integrated Energy Shield Projector
- Integrated Power Cell
- Frequency Tuning: Specific modifications of the shield projectors with certain frequencies has allowed for the Serjek to have a greatly increased protection against blaster bolts and even lightsaber blades.
- Duraplast Reinforcement: A mixture of Duraplast reinforcement and clever circuitry has ensured that the vambrace is highly resistant to Ion and EMP attacks, allowing for it to operate even when subjected to such conditions.
- Recharge Rate: Due to a focus on increasing the protective quality of the shield itself, should it be shorted out or overloaded due to extensive use or damage the recharge time before it can be deployed again is noticeably long. This effect is even more prominent if the vambrace is working on its own power alone and not tied into a wider armor power system.
- Full Block: As a result of the projector's shield frequency tuning the shield itself is not permeable at all, meaning that weaponry cannot be used through it but instead must be used around it much like one would with a traditional physical shield.
