FORCE POWERS:

Telepathic -

  • Tund Illusion Sorcery - Can transform one object to another, materialize beings, and cause objects to disappear. The illusion cannot be discerned by computer systems.
  • Spell of Concealment - Can hide one or multiple presences in the Force.

  • Summon Fear - Causes the victim to experience their worst fears to the point of hysteria. It is a very powerful ability, and the duration and intensity varied depending on the caster. The spell was called upon when the caster moved their fingers in an intricate pattern, taking seconds to produce effects after focusing the Force in a particular way. The victim’s deepest and most primal fears were made seemingly alive, often taking the form of demons or monsters that relentlessly torment the victim. The longer the spell is held the more realistic and terrifying the illusions become. To the outside viewer, the victim appears to suddenly seize and go insane. The body goes into comatose if held for a long amount of time.

  • Force Fear - The wielder can strike directly at the deepest parts of the target's mind, causing an uncontrollable shaking fear that wreaks havoc with the target's capabilities. Through pure force of will alone, a user could cause them to lose their courage completely, and if left undefended, the effects could be severe, rapidly demoralizing the enemy with a feeling of hopelessness and regret. Depending on the victim, it can cause them to either cower defenselessly or flee from their opponent outright.

  • Force Horror - This enables the user cause multiple enemies to enter a catatonic state of panic that is more severe and more difficult to defend against than basic Force fear.

  • Aura of Uneasiness - This projects a field of vague unease around the caster. Sentients experience intense malaise. Non-sentients flee, while Force-sensitives experience an inability to concentrate. Restricted to line of sight.

Physical -
  • Force Slow: this power clouds the target's mind, causing them to slow down both mentally and physically.

  • Force Affliction - Affliction works much like a fast-acting poison, quickly debilitating the target. The effects of affliction worsened over time and may cause death if the user is strong enough in the Force.

  • Force Blast - A blast of pure dark side that can hurt sentients, non-sentients, and spirits. Burns the user’s hands.

  • Pyrokinesis - Can cause the molecules in the air to ignite and create and control flames to a limited degree.

  • Breath Control

  • Crucitorn

BIOGRAPHY:
Seth Shorn was, or is, one of the few remaining Tapani humans after the Gulag virus nearly wiped them and their way of life from existence. He led a typical life for a middle-class Republic citizen: parents, a brother, food, an education. Eventually, he attained his goal of becoming a star fighter pilot for the Galactic Republic Navy. He participated in a few skirmishes, but his squadron never received any real combat until he received a promotion to Lieutenant.

In interviews following his return, Seth spoke of the battle with a forced calm. Readings show increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and apocrine gland responses. The official report is that Naval Officer Seth Shorn was shot down in battle during a classified engagement. His remains were never recovered and he was declared missing in action, presumed killed in action.

But he returned. Shot down, captured, Shorn reports he was tortured by the Sith Empire for information. His body bears gruesome scars as testimony. Eventually, he says they broke him. His report indicates that following the extraction of what little information he could give to them he was transferred to a high security prison camp. En route, a pirate raiding party intercepted his shuttle, in company of a few other supply vessels. The pirates killed all save for Seth, who begged them to send him back to the Republic in exchange for money. The pirates, seeing an opportunity to at least try, posted a ransom notice.

The Galactic Republic reacted as any major hegemon would. They summarily sent out a special forces strike team, exterminated the pirates, and brought Seth Shorn safely home. He underwent a thorough interrogation and medical examination, but the examiners could find only a Seth Shorn who desperately wanted to see his family. His vitals seemed in order, the only true difference an unexplainable shortening of his telomeres. His mind remained intact, for the most part, he had not been brainwashed by the Sith Empire. Regretfully, they informed him of his brother's defection to the Sith Empire. Reports indicate that Mikhail Seraph blamed the Republic for Seth's death.

His return after almost a year in captivity became a poster for the Galactic Republic's PR efforts before they eventually handed him over to the Intelligence Bureau, who took him on as a Naval Lieutenant under Temporary Duty orders. His knowledge and time spent with the Sith Empire, little as it was, would help the Republic. Plus, Intel wanted to keep an eye on him.... just to be sure they hadn't missed anything.

After serving with distinction in several missions, Seth gained favor in the Galactic Republic's Intelligence community. However, it all changed with a single conversation. Seth Shorn was actually a Royal Guard, cloned to appear and act like the original Seth. His loyalty was to the Imperial Remnant and he soon received orders to speed up his mission. Using his personal Shrike Interceptor, Shorn fired two concussions missiles into the briefing room of the Galactic Republic Intelligence building, killing many top officials. He managed to escape due to the jamming devices in his interceptor.

He returned to the Imperial Remnant and resumed operations as a Royal Guard. Eventually, he rose through the ranks and became the Praetor of the Royal Guard when the Remnant merged with the Empire. He served faithfully and discovered he had certain powers with the Force, particularly pyrokinesis. However, during the invasion of Mandalore he was horribly wounded by his brother, Mikhail, with a blade impregnated with Devaronian blood poison. The venom constantly burned, causing Seth a lasting excruciating pain that made it hard to even think. He sought remedies and eventually turned to Disciple, a powerful and ancient Sith. Disciple, rather than helping him, sought to kill him, burning Seth horribly. The Sith Lord Velok stepped in and saved Seth from receiving a killing stroke, but his method of salvation was to transfigure Seth using strange powers in the Force. He twisted and changed Shorn's form, making him weaker. In addition, he made it excruciatingly painful for Seth to speak, declaring that now Seth would more ably be able to fulfill his function as a Royal Guard.

In pain and unfit to command the Royal Guard, Seth was arrested and sent into exile by his rival Artor, who became the new Praetor. Seth was sent to the far regions of the galaxy, where he found Moross and became a follower of Liad, accepting his pain rather than denying it. He changed his name to Anaudius, declaring Seth Shorn to be truly dead.
