Taking its name from the ancient Sith Language, Shâsot'taral is the name bestowed upon the personal suit of armor that is unique to Jacques Cavill. It began with the Iron Skin which was readily available for his usage upon joining the Fringe Confederation, and quickly evolved into a much more formidable armor system. This was, according to his sources, one of the many intended purposes of the Iron Skin suit, and thereby has proven to be quite capable in acting as the basis upon which the Shâsot'taral was built.
To begin, the Shâsot'taral is, as aforementioned, a suit of Iron Skin that is of a slate grey hue and is characterized by durasteel bandings on the sides, belt, and wrists. Upon this suit of high-grade armorweave are affixed several plates which are composed of a unique combination of Duraplast woven with Songsteel. These plates, due to their composition, afford Jacques unparalleled protection against lightsabers and is an excellent defense against blaster fire or concussive forces. The armor, as a whole, is exceptionally light-weight as well; thanks to the thickness of the plates in response to the presence of Songsteel.
Standard upon this armor is a leather utility belt, complete with a number of pockets and holsters which can easily accommodate lightsabers or a holdout blaster. Furthermore, the Iron Skin's optional cape was exchanged for a hooded cloak composed of armorweave, thereby allowing Jacques protection from the elements in addition to adding an intimidation factor. Another, personal measure that was taken to make the armor his was the incorporation of an "S" symbol engraved into the chestplate. This pays homage to the armor's name: Shâsot'taral, roughly meaning "Passionate Protector" in the Old Tongue.
