Years had passed since Darth Tacitus ordered the bombing of Bakura and the extermination of its entire population. It was a disgrace that took many years for the Empire to wash away this disgrace on its own. Ever since the empire has a new Empress, the rebuilding of the planet has also begun. She did this not alone, but with the help of her own company, the HPI Consortium and the Brighter Future Foundation. So it was thanks to a pretty nice big collaboration that the milky planet was rebuilt.

It was not just that houses, colonies had to be built; new plants and animals had to be brought to the planet and introduced, which were previously native to the planet. Rebuild the entire infrastructure. Build everything and put it in such a condition that the moving settlers can get to work immediately. Countless companies have also moved in, which have also helped launch the planet’s economy. Pre-production had already begun by the droids, leaving only the inhabitants of the planet missing.

It was not difficult to find new colonists, not even the strict and often cruel laws of the Eternal Empire alarmed many. A great many people who were once residents of Bakura returned, but countless refugee groups also arrived who fled the wars of GA-NIO-TSE and tried to start a new life in a new place. As a result, hundreds of thousands or even millions of people were able to relocate to the rebuilt planet.

However, there may be something wrong with perfection. More and more people talked about someone poisoning local water centres, causing diseases; the same is true for most foods, someone has poisoned them as well. People disappeared and then their mutilated, tortured bodies came out in public. It was as if ritual murders had taken place; sabotages took place in factories and plants. The material damage was significant, not to mention accidents and some deaths.

Burial and religious sites were desecrated by strangers and left great destruction by these individuals. Several speak of the same symbol/mark that they have seen popping up in several places, the Loyalists and Rebels have seen for the first time on Batuu on the sect member’s attire. It is not yet known who they are. Just a sure…

Someone really doesn’t want the Eternal Empire or anyone to move back to Bakura.
arWRVPQ.png

Objectives

There will be no specific objectives, I think based on what has been described, everyone can find what they want and what suits their faction.
However, there are some guidelines:
- There are two major groups on the planet who have been rescued by the Rebel section before, so they trust them more than they do in the military. Ritual murders took place in one place and damage to religious buildings in the other.
- As usual, some underworld groups are trying to gain power, not caring that this is the territory of the Black Sun.
- Countless companies have the opportunity to open new factories, trade with each other, or just find out who is sabotaging their factories.
- Investigation of food / water supply poisoning.
- Ritual murders can also refer to Force, so they can be perfect for Warden as well.
- BYOO

Due to the wars where we are helping theTSE and the constant expansions, the military presence on the planet is small. Thus, even less legal persons (Rebels) could move freely here.

Situations like this really made Domino bristle. There was no reason to wipe out a planet, or any civilian target for that matter. Guilty as she was for not caring about collateral damage in the past. Hypocrite. Still, this was wanton destruction plain and simple, she didn't even know if there had been purpose behind it. At least this time people cared.

Above the Twi'lek one of her Valiant Frigates hovered on its repulsors as a construction crew worked to put up an electrified chain-link fence around the distribution point. The ship's guns were near useless in this situation, but the variety of sensors and imaging devices were giving those below a vital sense of security. They'd heard of the sabotages and poisonings and Domino was determined not to let the same befall the aid and workers she'd brought to help the resettlement. Outer Rim Resources had brought a small flotilla of transports loaded down with food and seed stock, hardy clothing, and most importantly now, near a thousand industrial moisture vaporators that had been slated for more remote settlements where drilling a well wouldn't be practical. On learning of the current crises, Domino had ordered them set up to relieve some of the burden on the freshwater supplies here.

Composing a brief message to the company coordinator running things for the Eternal Empire, Domino informed them of her plans. Pipe and foundations would hopefully be laid before dark, night crews would put in the needed tanks, pumps, and as many vaporators as they could. Hopefully distribution could begin in limited quantities by noon from the kiosk poking through the perimeter fencing. Naturally the remining units would go up throughout the day as would signs warning people to stay away. That raised another issue, she hadn't brought very many security teams with her, even among the escort ships, this was supposed to be a secured planet. Plus the Empire probably wouldn't look too fondly on outsiders policing its territory. Composing a second message, she asked if there were any extra teems to ward nosy people, thieves, and saboteurs away from the collection fields.

Illusion… it was all just a pitiful illusion… both his own actions today and the beliefs of whomever these pathetic individuals that were behind the murders and wanton destruction described in the reports he poured over as he leaned against the wall. True Charles had brought resources to help Bakura rebuild, but compared to those who were serious, it was a token effort… if not a well disguised one. The man had ordered his men especially Kom and the Zombies to make sure the ‘women and children’ were taken care of as was his modus operandi. If they had shelter and food for the time he was here, then the considered the matter to be taken care off. No what he was here for was something to sate his own appetite.

The ritual murders gave the large man a sense of amusement that he had not felt in a long time, but he knew now it was better to channel those feelings. The descriptions of the bodies if anything showed a certain lack of precision or nuance… well whenever he found the individuals responsible, he would just have to take them back to his ship and give them a demonstration. If he had to, he was sure he could find some legal excuse for using them as human test subjects, but if not… well… what people did not know would not hurt them. He had his men spread out and began searching for clues or anything to go own, but he also ordered them to be discreet about it.

The rest of the Zombie’s and part of the security forces he managed to precure, where helping with any project that needed any extra help. Though Charles was a bit stand offish when it came to ‘asking’ if said projects needed the help, given that was normally Kom’s or even Tranquilities area expertise. No at this time he was looking over the information that he had on the murders, trying to piece together were to start hunting for his prey. There was a time when he would not have hesitated to use the Force to find out this information… despite the damage it caused… however given today’s situation… to do so would cause unnecessary death.

He had brought along his flagship, which remained in orbit as well as a smaller frigate which hovered nearby. The Admiral felt that he could get something out of the use of their sensors… as well as little power projection that could help keep the area safe. Less that he was planning on putting a crater on the ground, and simply the mental affect of letting certain parties know that if they want to cause trouble… then they should understand what they are dealing with.

Bakura...

This was where it all began for her. This was the planet upon which her start in the Eclipse Rebellion took root. What started as an idea to sabotage and poke fun at an Imperial government that helped to destroy her Mom, soon turned into a career of sorts, her new purpose. She wasn't just some goofball treasure hunter or shipper. She was the Face of the Eclipse Rebellion and she had helped to stifle their growth and ability to reign over their territory.

But such actions didn't lack consequences. On the contrary it had made her life all the more complicated. Arrest warrants were out on her head while in EE space and should those warrants expand to other territories; well she had sanctuary in a few areas anyways.

So what brought her to sneak into EE territory and risk her arrest and execution? It was the Bakurans. Some that she had rescued during the bombing had contacted her, letting her know of the reconstruction of the planet. Things were all well and good until trouble began. Poisonings, defiling of buildings, kidnappings, torture and murder; all were happening under the Empire's nose. It could be that the Empire had it's eyes elsewhere, leaving little worlds like Bakura to fend for itself. And it wasn't ready. The panicked messages of her friends there told her as much.

So she had to go there and help.

Lori, fresh from her honeymoon, had arrived into the system on Jaster's Delight, with an alternate paint job and tags, listing her as 'Good as Gold' shipping. Arla handled all of the communications, changing her voice over the comms to that of a raspy old man with a terrible weezing problem. Lori put on a blonde wig, green contacts, painted on freckles, and pulled on a pair of coveralls over her Rebel Ops Armour. The less chance that she had of being recognized, the better.

But first she had to get to her friends' homes. Already Arla was bringing the ship down after gaining clearance to enter the atmosphere. Hopefully they were alright.

Ingrid also arrived at Bakura; she was now much more here than the CEO of HPI than the Empress. Sure, she couldn’t leave her original position behind either, but this planet has affected her multiple times. On the one hand, aliens attacked its citizens and the assets of the Empire, and on the other hand, the buildings of their own companies were affected. It belongs to HPI on the one hand and the Brighter Future Foundation on the other. That is why she convened a meeting with the leaders of the other companies to discuss what to do. This is because HPI or BFF were not the only ones that suffered damage.

For this reason, she was currently in the largest building in the business district, which was a neutral conference building to meet with other executives here. She hoped there would be others who were interested and would come here. Ingrid was sitting in one of the largest meeting rooms, with a datapad on the table in front of her. She was still alone in the room (okay, that wasn’t entirely true), two camouflaged Shadow Company soldiers were still with her as bodyguards. Although they weren't seen because of the camouflage. Currently reading news and reports. So far, there has been no progress on the matter.

However, as the news was read, more and more groups stood by her to investigate. She did not have the opportunity to send more soldiers here at the moment; force was needed elsewhere. It consumed war, expansion, a lot of energy and resources. That's why corporate collaboration was needed here, maybe even Black Sun will help. Officially, she couldn’t ask for their help in this, but maybe they have an interest in that too.

Unfortunately, however, she soon reached the end of the data and news, which was not good because she had time to think again. As always, her thoughts revolved around Adrian. She looked out the window at the city. There was still only the cold emptiness in the woman's soul, the lack and pain. The red-haired woman shook her head; hoped someone would arrive soon…

Kessia waited at the spaceport; an appointment was arranged here on her part, with a man who had also arrived for the investigation. Chameleon was personally instructed by the Empress to go to the end of the case, and if she could, join others. That is, work with others. That's how she found this guy to work with. The woman was only in her armor, with two vibroswords on her back, two vibroblades and two blasters on her belt. Hidden with her, she even had two lightsabers. As usual, she arrived well equipped.

Ever since she had waited, two groups of soldiers had verified her because she looked suspicious. The woman showed her Blackwatch ID; she was on the organization’s list as a special agent. Secretly she had a much higher rank than that, but even Craig didn't know about it. He didn't even have to. After all, who knows how people would react if it turned out that a shape-shifter sometimes plays the Empress. Of course, she doesn’t make decisions, she doesn’t sign anything or anything like that, she just shows up where she needs to be, events, balls. She might read it out and tell one or two pre-learned short openings.

As usual, she was in a different shape under her armor than her real one, and her Force-pattern was also changed. Caution never hurt. That was pretty much the basic rule among assassins. If someone wasn’t careful, it could easily die. This was one of the most important rules that Kessia followed. Looking at the time, there were still a few minutes until the meeting. She was actually wondering who and what might be behind this whole thing. Hopefully it will be revealed soon.

She just had to wait for the man to arrive...

Oh, interesting well that changed everything, the limited amount of data rolling across Charles screen told him all he needed to know. He was in the wrong place if he was looking to hunt new toys, as he had find fellow hunters who could make the process an efficient one. The intelligence on the person he was looking for was limited… no the better word was non-existence, but he new what he was looking for. A small bread crumb that placed you at the right place at the right time was all at two predators needed to find each other in the grand scheme of things. So standing up the Admiral lazily stretched in a lackadaisical manner, and with his comm he quickly had a transport ready to take him to the spaceport at capital city.

The only question would be how to find this ‘fellow predator’, and while the simple matter of asking did present itself given the number of personnel he found himself among when he arrived. Charles knew that it would not be that easy, it never was especially when someone wanted to remain hidden. Fine well the first step in finding them would be to look for anyone who seemed well equipped… aka like a wolf walking among sheep. Not every weapon would be obvious, but it was a start… and as eyes scanned around the place the Admiral finally found his curiosity. Wait that was strange, why could not he feel this being in the Force. It was almost like a blur that did not exist, and it made Udezi hiss in anger, as she would not have her future body be put in a position near something that dangerous.

This was the one whom he was look for, a being whom had come to hunt as he had. Whatever its target he did not care as his own plans could be adjusted to fit any future test subject. Plus just having a chance to obverse whoever this was in action was another experiment within itself. So his approach towards Kessia through the crowd was slow and deliberate, eyes running over her as he moved closer to get a general read… looking at body language that might even be conveyed through armor. He understood the advantage being able to hide ones expression under a mask, as his own hid an delighted grin,

”So my information was right, a wolf is wondering through a herd of sheep, how delightful. The prey is quite ripe on Bakura these days is it not? Then again I guess the question is if I am talking to a fellow spider or just one the many flies that buzz around our webs.” Tilting his head curiously as he looked Kessia, Charles voice oozed with a knowing tone. His questions themselves were rhetorical and he knew how annoying such question’s could be, and so he decided to be a bit more direct… extending a name… such that the one in front of him would want to know whom they spoke to, “Admiral Charles at your service, though the title is just a formality. No need to use it, as the real question I have is what brings you to this lovely shelled out planetoid.”

O B J E C T I V E | Rebuild this Dump.

A choked bang against the floor caused her to shrug her own face. With swift feet, Sanguine hurled her body to the left, raising her arm in the air, closing her fingers into a fist as she walked towards the soldiers unloading the crates from the ship. The two immediately stopped as one of them dropped the box on the floor, evoking her attention as a magician would a demon.

You cack-handed deck apes!”, her lips immediately roared as she approached both humanoid soldiers. Smaller than both of them, Sanguine placed her index finger, straight as an arrow in front of him, lowering her voice in a menacing tone. “Hold to those boxes as if your pitful life depends on it, soldier. Because it does, and if I hear so much a creek coming from them you will find yourself on my table waiting to be dissected, am I clear?!

The soldier slammed his hand on his forehead, saluting the twi’lek female, and despite not being able to see his face, Sanguine could smell his fear.

“Yes, Directrix, perfectly clear. I’m sorry, Directrix, it will not happen again.”, turning her back at the two, Sanguine swung her hand at both of them, dismissing them back at their duties as she returned to check out the information on the holopad on her hands. The materials were all being unloaded, her duties regarding the bakuran reconstruction were being followed thoroughly, this poor excuse of a planet would be reshaped properly, although she had her own doubts regarding if this was indeed necessary as she believed Bakura was much better in the hands of those delicious Ssi Ruuvi than in human greasy fingers, but, according to Barnabas, Sanguine had somewhat of an obsession with those lizards. But what could she say? They were such magnificent killing machines, perfect to be messed by her brainwashing program.

The Discordia's Vengeance shook as it came out of hyperspace, the massive Silencer battlecruiser entering the Bakura system and the sheer size of it immediately alerting every ship in the system to it's presence. Nighthaunter stood aboard the bridge looking out into the deep blackness of space in front of him. He looked down at the planet of Bakura and took note of the Valiant Frigates that were orbiting the system, and just beginning to enter the atmosphere. No doubt they were a part of the ongoing relief effort. The Discordia's Vengeance was here to aid in escorting the relief effort and make sure no outside forces interfered in the relief effort. Nighthaunter looked over at the deck officer that accompanied him on the bridge, like all of the armada officers that operated this ship they had been sworn to secrecy and to not tell anyone of the activities that they saw aboard the large battlecruiser. The Silencers, while not known by the common citizen, were a particularly fanatic group of assassins and spies that followed the will of Discordia. Their fear tactics, torture and assassinations were the myth and rumour of the unknown regions, particularly on the Scintilla. "Captain contact the ground and let the Eternal Empire know we are here to escort the relief arriving on the surface" The masked assassin said calmly to the officer next to him. The Captain simply nodded professionally and relayed his message to the communication officer, who began to contact the Eternal Empire's forces both on the ground and in orbit around Bakura of their intentions. "I also have some business to attend to planet side, keep the ship in orbit and protect the vessels carrying aid in supplies at all costs." He said, the masked assassin looking sternly at the Captain. The business planet side wasn't trivial by any means and the Captain knew not to ask any questions about it as he knew by now he wouldn't receive any answers. The truth was Nighthaunter had been tasked by Discordia to aid the Empresses agents in putting down the growing, but yet still unknown resistance on Bakura.

"Yes sir, and good luck." The Captain responded formally. Nighthaunter simply nodded and made his way off of the bridge and into the cathedral like hallways of the Discordia's vengeance. Gregorian style chanting echoed down the hallways as the Silencers prayed to their deity, this was then accompanied with the sounds of training and the screams of tortured heretics who had dared defied Discordia's divine will. Many of the Silencers he passed in the halls simply nodded at him in respect as he walked towards the hanger. He finally reached the elevator and took it all the way down to the hanger. Upon entering the hanger he made his way towards the first starfighter that he saw amongst the many choices that were available to him. The starfighter was a Whisper Starfighter. Upon entering the cockpit Nighthaunter engaged the engines and flew out of the hanger into the inky blackness of space and towards Bakura.

Bakura Spaceport...

Upon flying into the Spaceport he could see a singular lone figure waiting at his designated landing pad. This must be his contact, the one Discordia had mention to him in his orders. He slowly maneuvered the ship onto the landing pad and engaged the landing gear, it hissing as the starfighter hit the ground. From the cockpit he couldn't see the person's face although the outline of the body was definitely feminine. The masked assassin removed his harness and jumped out the cockpit, gracefully landing on his feet. He walked towards the masked woman that was there to greet him. "You must be my contact, Discordia sends her regards." He said calmly as he looked the woman up and studied her armour.

Kessia waited to see when the man she was expecting would show up. Meanwhile, she had to “fight” with other soldiers to finally leave her completely alone. In the end, it was a tall enough man to approach her and address the assassin. She said almost not very kindly what the man had come up with for this? From the equipment? However, before she could do that, she realized who the man was. She knew most of the Empire's admirals and generals from holopictures and files; it was part of her job. The Charles and the Admiral also helped a lot.

"Admiral Castex, welcome, sir!" she said and saluted the man with her fists placed over her heart as usual in the Eternal Empire.

If she had to play a role already, she was just an agent.

"I'm Chameleon, a special agent from Blackwatch. It is my job to investigate what happened here, sir! I do not believe that the Empress or any other soldier would be happy with such loose behaviour. It is not worthy of the army of the Eternal Empire. I assume from this that you also came from the ZU."

Everyone else knew that laxity was not accepted and allowed; only the outsiders were not. Eventually another man arrived, sent by Discordia. She nodded at the man and held out her hand.

"Yes, it's me, Chameleon. Welcome to Bakura. It appears that Admiral Castex will also join us in the task. Before we leave, we should decide what to look at first. Ritual murders, or reservoirs and food stores where poisonings occurred."

"They took everything." Kahlil spoke aloud as he looked over one of the fresher corpses in the morgue. Butchered. He lowered the cloth that covered the body, letting out a sigh. There was barely anything that made the body recognizable as a person. And their blood, there was none. They were exsanguinated, which seemed to be part of why they were so ritualistically butchered. Why was the question that filled his mind as he cleaned his hands. Seeing the dead wasn't something new, unfortunately.

But there was something else there. He could feel it, or, well. He couldn't. It was as if the current of the Force had been cut off, leaving the bodies devoid of it's influence. That was a worry. A fear. He made his way up through the cooperate building. He more.. Snuck his way in, using the fact he knew about the body to guise as a doctor. And now, well. If he wanted answers, there was only one person he could get the answers from and the resources he'd need.

He walked into the room where Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim was sitting. He leaned in the doorway, more surprised that she was the only one there. He expected a guard, or at least other high ranking company folks to be in talks. People were dead, after all.

"How is it I keep getting you alone? People are gonna start rumors at this rate."

A small shuttle flew over the ground, moving low and close to the ground. Inside, two pilots were busy flying the shuttle. One of them was Red, the other was a copilot. The shuttle in question held supplies and resources, as this was the rebuilding of the planet, so they were tasked with transporting supplies to some of the relief camps.

Red sat in one of the pilot seats, staring out through the cockpit at the scene in front of him. His helmet sat next to him on the console, but he was already wearing his armor. Red had been tasked with delivering relief supplies to settlements. At least, that's what the official mission statement was. Unofficially, he was sent out to investigate the reports of sabotages, and even water and food poisoning. He had been sent out as the investigator to figure out if these claims were true or not, and to figure out who was behind these sabotages.

Then, suddenly, their close-range comm unit picked up an incoming message. It was a request for help from one of the relief and rebuilding stations. Well, that would have to be as good of a place as any to start his investigation. Red checked the coordinates of where the signal had come from. It was fairly close-by.

Red contacted the sender of the message. "This is Shuttle Kilo-Bravo-9-3-8," Red said. "We heard your request for support, and acknowledge. We possess relief supplies, and can provide security for your operation. How copy, over?" He asked.

Well, at least he had a start on his investigation.

Traimri Bruz had not been seen for weeks.

The Trandoshan had taken a long period of leave since it was revealed that the Wild Hunt would be ceasing operations against the Black Sun in light of the threat posed by the Brotherhood of the Maw. Eleena’s attempts to maintain contact with Bruz had been almost entirely fruitless, save for a trio of two word text responses which left her with more questions than answers. While the Twi’lek was grateful that he had not ghosted her entirely, Eleena could not help but to feel worried for him. It went without saying that the news of the Black Sun had hit him hard, especially given his history with the gang. She missed him, but work kept her mind occupied away from such nostalgic feelings, especially given the assignment of a Regina as the new commanding officer of Mermaid squadron.

Isena Elysi.

Bar none, she was the highest scoring swoop pilot in the Wild Hunt Speed Corps. Seeing the Echani ace in the flesh for the first time had been an unbelievable, bordering on dreamlike experience for the young pilot. Upon hearing that she would be taking command of Mermaid squadron, Eleena nearly fainted on the spot, an event which might have transpired had she been of more delicate constitution. Instead, she had gawked at the famous ace in an awestricken fashion, perhaps making a fool of herself in the process.

And now, for the first time, she was flying with her.

The juggernaut war machine of the Eternal Empire and its associated factions had descended on Bakura over the past few days, harnessing its collective might to restore the planet after the glassing at the hands of Darth Tactius. The Speed Corps had been tasked with low altitude air patrols, taking advantage of the agility of swoops over larger fighters in order to better monitor the area. It was a relatively routine mission which Eleena had done many times before, but flying with Isena Elysi would perhaps add some spice to an otherwise unremarkable task.

“Going to split us up to cover as much area as possible.” Isena began. “Also, make sure your sonic dampening systems are active, we’re not here to announce our presence or intimidate people. In fact, it might be better that they don’t hear us coming.” The ace continued.

“Do we even know what we’re looking for, besides ritualized murders and shady characters?” Lilacasa spoke up.

“If anything, we’re just here to give people some peace of mind. Hopefully it’s all just overblown conspiracies and we can go home after this. Probably just dudes running around in clown suits at night or something.” Lexi offered.

“Sure, Lexi...” Isena answered in a skeptical tone. “Let’s just do our jobs, but I wouldn’t count on this all being a conspiracy. We might be here for a bit.” Isena paused, letting her words hang in the channel before moving on. “Lila and Cida, you two are together. Lexi, you’re with Akrae.”

“Eleena, you’re with me.”

Kolby came to Bakura too, he was not alone, the Executive Vice President of K Mining Conglomerate also traveled with him. During the trip they had a long conversation to pass the time, first they spoke about professional subjects, last quarter's profit reports, plans for next year, things that have come up during work/operation and so on, then they continued with more personal topics, how are the families, their personal health and a little gossip about what they heared from others. They drank some cocktails and ate some shrimps and crabs too, they had a good time. Kolby hoped they wouldn't open the conference with food so they can freely eat now.

Bakura is a great opportunity for K Corp to expand on a new rebuilt planet, a clean slate, with smart choices they can even dominate some markets here, and have great profits when the population moves here in large quantities. K Corp wouldn't pass an opportunity like this, but this wasn't the reason Kolby personally came, it was to meet with the Empress, Ingrid L'lerim. They haven't met yet. The last time Kolby personally met with the authorities was when he convinced leaders to permit K Credit as a currency and it was a long time ago. HPI Consortium and its subsidiaries were a fine competition in the market, so he had to be smart about the business and political side of things too. K Corp have already constructed some facilities on the planet and there were some damages. Naturally K Corp doesn't like damages and vandals, but these damages are small compared to other expenses, and the megacorp is really-really wealthy, so it would be easier to just pay them, but since Kolby had come, he brought the K Mining EVP too, he is the "heavy-hitter" here, he knows what he is doing and K Mining really doesn't like criminals.

Before entering the conference room in the nice conference building he buttoned the last button on his very elegant black suit, it was an expensive one, with golden lining. He entered room with the EVP.
"Greetings My Lady."
If the other called him Kolbert or something like that he had a reaction for that.
"Just call me Kolby, or Th'erry, everyone calls me that way."
Then he took his seat and looked through the information about the main topics. Maybe the Empress will take the initiative.

As the door opened she looked up. Because of the Taozin amulet, didn't know who was coming, but as soon as the door was open she could see that it was Kahlil Zambrano. Truth be told, this was one of the last places she expected the Jedi to show up. Although she didn't want to say it, probably the man knew she was better than her bodyguards, she was a trained assassin and soldier and Force User. Not one person considered the woman the best and deadliest assassin in the Unknown Region.

"Then they will gossip. We both know the fate of the last person who tried to kill me…"

The man was also there when Eskk tried to kill Ingrid, meaning he had fled the woman instead. And in the end, the ex-major ended up in the Netherworld because the red-haired woman simply left him there, as a punishment. If he ever gets out of there and Ingrid finds out, she'll even put the man's name on a bounty list as well. Kill him by someone else whose abilities match those of Anzati, or just don’t feel humiliated to kill such a person. She didn't really care.

"Why are you here? I didn’t know you were interested in business matters…"

She would have continued, but at that moment the door opened again. Invisible and silent, the two soldiers raised their guns to the incoming person for a moment. For a moment, when they perceived it to be harmless, they turned back in the original direction. Ingrid hadn't met the muun yet, but of course she knew who she was. CEO of the K Corp. Recently, they have become HPI’s biggest competitors in the Eternal Empire.

"Mr. Kolbert! Nice to finally meet you!"

Eventually, decided not to introduce Kahlil for the safety of the Jedi. Just call me Kolby, or Th'erry; it was a request that the woman, if she wanted, could not have complied with. She was educated too well for this and for her such behaviour was quite intimate. It's a matter of trust. Which was not the woman's strength.

"I have heard that your factories have also been damaged by unknown attackers. Do you already have plans for how you want to deal with all this?"

"Character assassination is very different from crashing a ship to try and end your life. It's far more brutal." There was a light chuckle from the Jedi as he stepped over to her. Half way. It was around there he realized they weren't alone in the room. Mild surprise showed in his face as his gaze shifted to where he felt the two other people and offered them each a small nod before looking back to Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim . "The dead have been stripped of the Force. I want to know how, and why. And your resources with the trust the rebels foster will make it easier to find them. This isn't a warzone. If there's ever a time to work together, it'd be now."

That and he hoped by trying to be the bridge between the two the conflict could come to a peaceful conclusion. His eyes shifted to the door as another entered. Well, he'd have to talk more formally now. The Jedi bowed his head to Th'edar Kolbert Th'edar Kolbert respectfully, stepping off to the side. At this point he was just an observer collecting notes on what was happening.

Kolby couldn't recognise the Jedi, Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble the doctor disguise completely fooled him, he wasn't paying much attention to him and the muun wasn't force sensitive to sense aníthing. He assumed the man was just a medical personal, leaders often need them, maybe force users too. As he expected Ingrid took the lead. She asked about their plans, before presenting them, he pointed in the direction of the man with his arm.
"I assume you trust him with the information."
If the answer was yes, then he continued.
"Our original plan was to repair the damages and increase security, pay the cost of this and continue operation. But since further attacks are expected and continued increased security can cost much, and damages can lead to serious disadvantages in the market, we changed our plan. Now I'm here with you, this is my dear colleague, EVP of K Mining Conglomerate, our subsidiary will use security forces and mining assets to get to the root of the problem. We need to do some dirty work to establish order. We can also finance some operations here, and hire people, contractors for the task."
That was the essence of it, without the details, those can come later.
"What are your plans about dealing with the situation?"

"I know I’ve used this method more than once, I can assure you I’m prepared for it. Shadow games are no stranger to me either."

Ingrid was an excellent shadow player, not really worried that she would be a victim of a character murder. The red-haired woman had the propaganda in her hands and was smart enough to turn such a situation to her advantage. She noticed that Kahlil sensed the two soldiers lurking in disguise. Yes, they could only rely on technology, not anything else. It's harder to hide from a Force User. What Kahlil had said she thought she hadn't heard of before, she really should follow this event much more than before.

"You are more informed than I am. I didn’t know about that until now, but it’s definitely unsettling. From this it is certain that some Force User group carried out the ritual murders. Could it be known that the souls had reached Netherworld, or had they been collected before?"

This was quite an important question, because it was possible to deduce from it why the events took place. After that, Kolby arrived, looked at Kahlil for a moment after the remark, then back at the muun, and finally nodded measuredly; in agreement and consent. She was actually neutral on this issue, but it went well beyond what characterized most people in the eyes of the woman. Mainly because the rebels probably wanted peace here and not to endanger others. She listened to what Kolby had said; saw the logic in all this.

"I would be happier if mercenaries or company military personnel could act here. Possibly Broka the Hutt Broka the Hutt 's people from Black Sun, or Alli Vern Alli Vern 's people from ZU. But if we fail to solve this from a corporate section, we will have to deploy Imperial forces here, soldiers, or the Infinite Droids. I would like to avoid this, so perhaps… but it is more certain that the cooperation of the companies involved in Bakura would be the best in my view. We can be better organized together and it would be in everyone’s common interest to put an end to this."

He wasn't just pretending to be a doctor. As a Sith, he specialized in reanimation. Knowing how the body worked was important for such magics to be the most effective. Not a bright spot in his history he liked to talk about, but an informative one none the less. His gaze lingered on Th'edar Kolbert Th'edar Kolbert before it glanced back to Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim . It was a welcome thought that she didn't want to involve the Empire if she could avoid it. With the tension already mounting from these killings, a strong hand would only lead to more. And more tension would boil over.

For now though, he had nothing to add. The business side of this all wasn't something he was particularly good at. Best to leave it to the professionals and hope he could be of some assistance with finding the killers.

It always came back to Bakura, it seemed.

Leigh walked easily through the streets of the planet's capital city, although she was careful as ever to restrict her arm movement. The sleeves of the robe were wide, but not perfect; a single careless swing would expose her cannon to a crowd of civilians, inciting unnecessary panic. The exposure would also draw unnecessary questions as to why a droid of her size was walking through the streets alone, and with her identity as the Voice of Abbaji still a secret discretion was a must. With a portion of her memory, the droid wondered idly at how humans seemed to manage with such flimsy coverings. Optical camouflage was so much more efficient. But in this case, it was not an option either--with the news coming in from Bakura, Leigh needed to be able to engage the weapon as quickly as possible at a moment's notice.

As the droid made her way through the city, she observed. The rubble the Empire left behind had been cleared, replaced with clean, sterile buildings dotting the older landscape. The people she passed looked...harried. Many of them kept their eyes on their feet or on their business, looking anywhere but at the others in the street. A welcome development, given the droid's desire to move unnoticed, but still...there was something sad to it, she thought. Humans moving and acting in such a way felt unnatural. Cold. It spoke of fear, trauma...

The hallmarks of living in a dangerous place that should never have been dangerous. The Empire clearly had not done the justice they had claimed in rebuilding this world.

That would be in line with the reports on the Eclipse network, too. A combination of local news briefs and hijacked Imperial data transmissions had indicated that the upper echelons of the Eternal Empire had once again turned their eye directly on the tiny world. Something about ritual murders, terrorist attacks on public utilities, had put their governors on the alert that their control was being threatened by an unknown new group. This group clearly had no interest in keeping the Empire's negative peace, or in helping the Eclipse Rebellion protect the citizenry. It had gotten so bad that their contacts on the ground had reached out, requesting active reinforcement from the Eclipse fleet. Leigh had taken the request personally, feeling an odd connection to the world where she had first started her plan of rebellion.
Interestingly, Na'an had taken very little convincing to take her along. Whatever her human partner had seen on Batuu was clearly weighing on her; she had been quiet for days, speaking only when spoken to, and even then never entirely present. When splitting the objectives, Na'an had surprised her by jumping at the chance of going to the religious sites instead of the murder investigation. She'd given Leigh little explanation as to why, only saying that she 'had someone to meet'. Before she left, though, she had embraced the droid, pressing a piece of paper into her palm before going her own separate way.

Her human was getting stranger by the day. Leigh had still not decided if she approved.

But in this case, strange seemed to be relevant. The droid reflected on the contents of that paper as she passed a corner, crossing the digital barrier that was the only marker of Eclipse territory. Na'an had given her a symbol to look for--three small lines, all identically bent around a central gap. It was with mild trepidation that she entered the symbol into her memory banks, and attached it to her primary comm transmission to an old friend.

::Miss Arenais,:: it began, ::I am aware of your interest in recent events on Bakura. I want you to know I will be present and investigating these matters as well, and would like your input given some recent intelligence. Attached is a symbol that has been recently brought to my attention; is there any chance you have seen this before?::
