Kalzeron; a simple planet on a feudal level, located on the southern frontier of the Eternal Empire and still falls into the region in which the Eternal Empire agreed with the First Order. The inhabitants of the planet have not yet reached the nuclear age, they are much more on the level of industrialization, they already have machines, but they are not very advanced. The species is a warrior group with gray skin, black teeth and yellow eyes.

However, exceptionally, no one came here because of conquest, there was a completely different reason for this. Subsequent investigations of cultists killed in Batuu led to this planet. And here to the largest city, which was repeatedly protected by walls. For one thing, however, those who arrived did not expect to be trapped.

Outside, a deadly storm began to rage shortly after the troops arrived. As the ion storm may have been particularly damaging to newcomers, two shields were also removed from the dropships, which were eventually set up to protect the city. So they were at least a little safe. However, they could not leave the planet and the city, just as no reinforcements or rescue teams could arrive due to the ion storm.

The storm is forecast to last for at least three days. The first two days were completely average, actually quite boring. However, on the evening of the third day, after the darkness, four soldiers were killed and the bodies of other people from outside were found in the city, followed by three more in the next two hours. They killed not only loyalists, but also locals, rebels, and others who came from outside, or locals.

All of these were completely random. There was only one thing in common in the murders; the cut throat and judging the location of the wounds, the throats of the dead were cut from behind. The dead are almost certainly followed by newer ones because there were killers in town. And the end of dawn and storm was incredibly far away…

Objectives

Objective 1: Survive the Night
79vQYFJ.png
About three dozen people from outside (including PCs) arrived in the city of roughly six hundred people. There is no radio connection with the outside world, the machines are difficult to operate, they are completely self-reliant. Probably if the protection of the shields ceases, the whole city will be destroyed along with everyone. Will you manage to survive the night and find the mysterious killer or killers before they kill everyone in town? The dawn was still terribly far away ...

Objective 2: BYOO

Bring your own objective, whatever you want. The point is to have fun.

It wasn’t exactly the kind of mission she had expected. She hoped they would get to the end of the case on Kalzeron soon, but they were stuck here. The locals said that according to legends, there is a huge storm here every century that destroys everything, which is why they could not develop even better. Now the city was protected by the shield; the question is how long. If the killings continue, they may want to sabotage the shields as well.

She was in the innermost part, talking to the mayor when the news of the murders was brought, she also looked at the bodies to see what to see on them. Professional assassin work; she herself couldn't have done it better, well, but, she could have done it better. But now she didn’t have to account for her own abilities. The fear of the civilians was clearly felt. It made sense to quickly and unnoticed the minds of the townspeople and their own with telepathy (already with whom she was able to do so unnoticed), but to no avail. Either her abilities didn’t work well or someone was able to hide what they did very well. Or they had no idea what they were doing.

In any case, this may have been a cause for concern. She ordered the soldiers to protect the generators, if they were deactivated by someone, almost everyone here would die, so she found it most important. Others, mostly locals, locked themselves in their homes and did not dare to come out. They were afraid of everything and everyone, the outsiders were suspected, and they were the locals. All that was needed here was for a war to break out and kill each other under the shield. She was tired of the war, the wars had lasted too long and at too great a loss. With a personal loss…

Now she spoke again to the mayor, who was also terrified to death, despite being a warrior nation.

"I don't care about your excuses, Mayor! My people are killed too, I want to find the culprit or culprits!" said coldly, emotionlessly to the local man.

The ion storms lent a ominous shroud over the killings. People, citizens and EE soldiers, were being murdered; brutality. Necks cut from behind was the dominate modus operandi in the killings. Rumors among the masses circulated the killings were being conducted by one individual, other theories tagged numerous killers as the culprit. For me, after viewing the bodies, I had a different theory. Cowards. I say cowards because after investigating the cuts, each cut was different in style. Some of the cuts went left to right, right to left; meaning the hand used to make the killing. Also, some of the cuts seemed to be precise, some looked amateur in nature. If there was one killer, he or she was ambidextrous and believed he or she was being artistic in the cuts. But I believed in the theory of numerous killers.

Because of the storm's interference, communications were down as most of the technology in our possession. To solve this mystery required old school leg work. For the killers, this was misfortunate for them, since back in my days with the Sith Empire I was a member of the Saaraishash; and I was damn scary providing positive results. But I had another problem to deal with. Fear. Those stuck in this nightmare where down right afraid. EE soldiers had to pull people apart over finger pointing and accusations; and most people just didn't want to address the killings. And of course, there were no witnesses to speak to, only murder sites. Regardless, I launched an unofficial investigation, not because I cared for these people; but perhaps the killers could be persuaded to work with the EE in a black-ops capacity. If they refused my offer, I would show them what a true brave killer looked like.

Mabie coming here was a bad idea from the storm that kills people to the Eternal empire who's oppressive and might still be hunting him to now there's a killer running around...How did he get here anyway? "damn my head is killing me." He says to no one in particular. He's had moments where he just blacks out at random and when he comes to he's somewhere else entirely. the only constant is his gear he manages to require each time Looking over the corpses he shakes his head as The Empress Interrogates the mayor too. He couldn't help but internally smirk.

"not so stoic when your amount the Rable and suffering losses with everyone else Huh Empress?" Nix asked Mockingly arms folded across his chest as he leaned against an old wall nearby. Should he talk that way to her especially if his programming informing him about her is correct? no However in the current situation he was sorta safe in theory as needlessly killing people when there's a killer out there isn't a good strategy as they would need all hands available to be able to survive and at least for now its beneficial to put differences aside to survive the night.

Ingrid was still patiently waiting for the mayor's response, which she apparently frightened far more than she had originally thought. The man muttered something in his own language; from which nothing could be understood. He didn't really look like a soldier or a warrior, he was a short, big-bellied, heavily graying figure. It seemed much more like some kind of trader. Either as someone who is used to being a malicious mayor in holofilms, or as a leader.

The woman was already prepared to tell him something when the man spoke at the wall. Turned in his direction with a cold look. Because the woman grew up in a martial, military society, so apart from a few people, she didn’t like anyone not following decency. Not just because it ruined morale, but there was even a reason for that rude behaviour. She wasn’t talking about respect, because it had to be earned, just about the simple decency.

"It wouldn't hurt to learn a little decency, because it is in the interest of all of us to find out who is killing our people."

She said in her usual cold voice, completely emotionless. Out there, one of her Overseers, if all is true, she had to start investigating. Ingrid will join her soon, at least she planned this.

~ Have you started the investigation yet? ~ asked Ladybug Ladybug telepathically.

Nix rolled his eyes "that's rich coming from you, Human askes that which she refers to as little more than a tool to show decency...yeah sure Ill show you decency but you got a long way to go to earn my respect." Nix stated as he began looking around for clues himself Scaning the bodies and making calculations in his head about how they were done and from how far away and with what weapon type. Any info at all could help narrow down the issue to the problem.

Willow and Ivy were invited not to help solve a mystery, but to look for any budding interests for Broka the Hutt Broka the Hutt . A planet not yet rich in technology was sure to help build lucrative contracts for Broka and the Black Sun.

The twins didn't like to look into their own futures. They had done so once and it frightened them do much that they vowed not to do so again. Yet if they had peeked into their future here, than they probably would hsve changed their minds in visiting the planet at all.

As such they had their bodyguard Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure with them. The twins valued having him in their company, for he looked after them well. Already he had faced dangers head on, risking his life for their own.

Yet this was a different kind of situation for them entirely.

Being trapped by a storm, they could only wait it out. And once the news began to spread about serial killers targeting everyone, the trio decided it best to stay put in the hotel suite that they occupied.

But even then, there was no guarantee for their safety.

"I see you have not been taught the slightest decency and inappropriate behaviour. Don’t believe I will tolerate this behaviour for a long time! Only follow me if you can behave appropriately!"

She said in a still cold, emotionless voice. She will do as Tacitus did at Lanteeb, whom one of the soldiers called him as “Daddy Bear”. Lanteeb; another painful memory, there met with Adrian first, the place where everything changed forever. As the mayor still did not respond, she preferred to leave. Ingrid took another look at the bodies, there was someone, that is, someone the woman wanted to talk to before she even got started the investigation. Last but not least, she wanted to make sure both girls were okay. As soon as she left the room, two Wolfguards wanted to join and escort her, but the woman raised her hand to stay in place.

The local "hotel"; perhaps it could only be called a hotel with benevolence, it was more of an inn or a more ornate building. The twins also stayed here. She didn’t have to walk so much to get here because there weren’t such long distances in this place. No one was standing in the way of the hotel, but there was not even a receptionist at the entrance. Everyone hid; she took a deep breath and then searched through the Force for where the girls were. As soon as got to the room, she knocked on it.

"Willow, Ivy! It's me, Ingrid, I want to talk to you!"

lqTDRqo.png

The twins were quite used to waiting around, entertaining themselves and the like. The storm wasn't to last too much longer, so soon they'd be able to leave. With a serial killer on the loose, it was too dangerous for them to be there.

The knock on the door, followed by Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim 's voice startled the pair. They didn't expect anyone. Giving Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure a nod, Willow gestured to the door. "Can you let her in please? She's safe."

Ivy hoped that Ingrid's arrival to their room wasn't going to herald another taxing experience. Crossing dimensions and almost literally being split in two wasn't exactly a highlight of their lives. It was frightening and used up so much of their energies that they collapsed and needed to be carried.

Yet no doubt this was more than just a courtesy call.

The pair smiled at Ingrid when she was allowed entry to their room, however. "Hi Ingrid. We're doing okay here. Did you want to join us for supper?"

Nix sighed Despite his orders and the secret mission he had respect for a leader who joined her units in the battlefield instead of staying at the backline like Ty did "sorry Ma'am, in my opinion, if you have a way out take it I have a bad feeling about things." He said sincerely as he walked away. watching everyone ass he moved through the group he made it look as if he was patrolling for the killers If they knew his true motives as he watched for openings anyone on their own being able to single out a town guard he snuck away from the others on a bathroom break Ty stood outside of the outhouse.

"you know it's a stupid idea to go off alone guardsmen?" he asked calmly from the side of the outhouse.
"Sorry I couldn't hold it anymore. could you take my position with the maintenance crew? you one of the new people here to help right?" Ty nodded despite not in the eyesight of the man. before he was given their location. "Yeah no problem and guardsmen?" he said resting his arm on the side of the outhouse.
The man gave a quizzical hum to Nix's inquiry before finding several tendrils of hot plasma instantly cut their way thew the side of the outhouse the pain from his internal organs and blood vaporizing kept him from screaming as the life was snuffed out.
"you should listen to rules, the consequences are killer you know." Quickly disengaging the plasma tendrils he mentally marks off another kill that will keep the group guessing as he makes his way to the Maintenance crew and its guards.

Vyn sat in the room his head tilled towards the floor, eye's closed. The sound of the rain was calming and after being informed about what could possibly be multiple murderers on the loose, the pitter and patter of water focusing his mind was needed, even if they were EE members, he had come to realize that in the end soldiers were still just people, and some in the same stop as him.

He was wearing a poncho draped to his knees his gear hidden under the cloak. There was never a dull moment with Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy though, he was definitely starting to enjoy the job more and more, he missed the thrill as odd as that may sound to someone, but at the same time he was still very unsure of their current situation. He wasn't sure about anyone else on the planet, well until this moment.

The knock on the door echoed into the room, Vyn's eyes shot open, his head raised up the pistol left his holster aimed at the door a voice followed and a familiar one at that, he had heard the Empress speak before. He looked at the twins as they beckon him open the door. Vyn hit the control panel and the door slid open to the red haired witch.

"Your Grace..."

He stood in the door for but a second as his figure then slinked to the side allowing Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim to pass in. Promptly Vyn stuck his head out the door checking for any on-lookers, giving a forced smile to those who happened to catch his gaze before retreating back in and closing the door. Vyn took a few steps back into the corner of the room where he sat on the chair he was once on.

Ingrid heard from inside the girls talking to their bodyguard who was inside with them. She had seen the young man before, though not up close. It wasn't as if the door had stopped her so much as if she had decided to go inside. The girls should have preferred the Wolfguard bodyguard, but the red-haired woman didn't know if she could trust them. The only thing she knew was that the girls were definitely not murderers, their physical condition did it all. Grace…

"Üdvözlöm Mr. Daldoure! A helyes megszólítás a „my Lord”!" corrected the man in her usual voice.

She finally entered the apartment, where instinctively looked through it, assessing whether there could be an assassin or anyone. Occupational harm to the woman; for she herself was an assassin. However, when she was convinced that there was no one else here, through her eyes and through the Force, she only eased down a bit, though her discipline did not wane, since there was still a murderer or murderers in the city.

How about dinner? Just shook her head at the question. She hadn't really eaten regular food since Adrian died, she didn't feel like it, albeit Tubrok Ragal Tubrok Ragal always ordered the woman's favourite foods from the kitchen droids, but it was of no use. They were always sent back without the woman reaching for them, even though at other times nothing was left of her. She simply did not find pleasure in eating, nor in any other.

"No thank you! In a situation like this, I wouldn’t be able to eat. I came to check if everything was okay with you. And ask if you saw anything about what’s going on here. Any of you."

Ivy looked at Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim as she spoke in a foreign language. It wasn't like theHutteese or Basic that they were used to. Though given the tone of her voice, it seemed that she didn't approve of the title that Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure addressed her with.

Willow on the otherhand was preoccupied with what Ingrid had asked them. We're okay. We were just going to prepare supper. And no, we haven't seen anything yet."

"Although we can look if you want us to. It's not very safe out there for us out there, but we'll try to do what we can from here."

"It would be faster if we had an item of clothing or something from one of the bodies. Could you get something like that for us, please?"

The Iridonians gaze fixed on the entrance of the room, he was tense it felt like whatever they were after could bust in the door at a moments notice, not knowing what they were facing is always the worse part of the job. His ears were attuned to the conversation however, It seemed even Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim didn't have any suspects yet, that in itself was even more troublesome.

"Just as Willow said, I haven't seen anything either. Soon as we heard of the murders staying put was my first concern."

Vyn had seen Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy use their ability for deduction, and he knew they wouldn't look into their on future for safety of course. At the same time he didn't necessarily know if looking in on a dead person or even into that of a killer would be such a good idea. Though if they were willing to stop the culprits sooner he wasn't going to be one to stop them.

"My former occupation was... well it wasn't that far from chasing murderers, so if I can be of any reasonable assistance while still adhering too my duty towards the twins I will try."

Shifting in his chair he cleared his throat Now probably wasn't the best time to inform The Empress or the twins about his old job, though with Ingrid's recourses she may already know, but long as Vyn himself wasn't a suspect now wasn't the time to care about such things. His head drifted towards the floor of the room, thinking to himself about the long night they had in store.

Ingrid really didn't like being remembered for being the ruler. Not just because she didn’t like that position. To this day, she would have gladly handed it over to Tubrok, or anyone else who asks and is a suitable person for the throne of the Eternal Empire. As for the suspect, there really wasn’t such a person. In fact, it could have been any soldier or local. Or just none of it, it was a difficult question, without a solution yet.

"Thank you, you did very well to stay here all the way, but keep your eyes open. I can't send anyone else here to help protect the girls. You have to thrive alone."

She told the man there were no best prospects, but there was nothing to do. In fact, even she could have been the killer and could easily have killed all three of them. She nodded to the girls, and since she already knew how their ability worked, brought a piece of clothing from one of the victims. And holographic images of the victims injuries.

"I brought yes, and I brought pictures too. So while the ladies are trying to find out something through the garment, you, Mr. Daldoure, can help me look through the pictures. Maybe you notice something too. Just a moment."

Took out the garment, a shirt, but hadn't given it to the girls yet.

"Only if you really think so. Feel free to say no, I don’t want you to feel like it’s a duty…"

The twins were ever thankful for having Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure around. Yet having him didn't mean that they were going to deliberately head out into danger. That wouldn't be wise or make them worthy of being employers. Broka paid for him for the most part, but it was Willow and Ivy that chose him, asked for him and helped to pay for him. So they felt obligated to do good by him. If he was ever to be replaced, it could be by someone mean spirited or super strict and they didn't want that. Vyn had respect for them and they liked that.

Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim didn't need to worry about their safety.

Willow found it intriguing that Ingrid had hesitated in handing over the material. Was she suspecting that something similar could happen as when they had last helped her? Surely what was going on here was different. Wasn't it?

Ivy held out her hand. "Our duties are in relation to Broka and the Black Sun. For you this is a favour, just as the last mission was. We don't mind, honest." They weren't under Eternal Empire employment, afterall.

Nodding to the warning of Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim , if he was to chase down the murderers he'd do it knowing the girls would have no protection, and there was an outstanding promise to the them, this one would go to the city guard long as the suspects didn't try breaking into their room first after all Vyn was more of a shoot first ask questions later type of person so tonight may not be all that dull

"And I'll take a look at the photographs, the faster you can get this monster off the street the more sleep I get tonight"

Vyn got up, approaching Ingrid and the twins to take a look at the pictures he saw the first in the set and was already intrigued, whoever did this first girl in was efficient, they never needed to come back and make a second incision it was deep and did its job. Taking a closer look he could see how deep the wound was, even is she didn't die from the first cut it wouldn't have mattered, her trachea was severed she would have been unable to scream, but to top it off the cut was deep enough that she would have died within seconds.

"I'm not saying whoever did this was a professional, this person or persons is either knowledgeable enough that they know what they're doing or strong enough to not care. The wound is deep and was preformed correctly though if the weapon being used is a Vibroblade It may not matter if they're strong or knowledgeable"

Vyn looked at Ingrid with a bit of concern, the other victims might tell him more but for now this picture only lent him more questions for now he took a step to the side grabbing the chair for himself and sitting closer to the group. he then looked at the clothing and then to Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy before sitting down.

"Be careful."

Yes, Ingrid was worried about the girls, just because of such a trivial matter. Chances are, if it were something that would threaten the lives of billions like last time, she wouldn’t think about ordering them to do it. But this was not an imperial request, but a personal one. If it was an imperial affair, the woman would have completely ruled out all feelings and would have been willing to sacrifice anyone or anything for the entire Empire. There was nothing like that here.

"OK, thank you! While you deal with this, we will look at the other pictures."

With that, she handed the girls the shirt she had brought with her. The red-haired woman hoped they would really get something, in both cases. Then turned back to Mr. Daldoure and showed him the pictures. Yes, each was a professional job; not nearly as elegant as Ingrid would have done, or like what the Shadow Company teaches. But other than that, it’s dirty, efficient and effective. No one had a chance, nodded at Vyn's words, there was truth in it.

"Or just professional enough to set it up as if it weren’t. It doesn’t look like a vibroblade because the head is in place. If there had been such a weapon, the victims would not have their heads left, or they would be as professional as I am. But if you look at this picture, here you can see the teeth on the edges, very little. It could have been caused by a simple knife or sword."

Looked at the man for a moment.

"The problem is that this can be solved by most soldiers or local fighters. However, the attacks came from the front, meaning they either did not see the killer or trusted it, regardless of the side. I could also do these wounds on vibroblade as a way to convince someone that not a professional did it… I’m not happy about that, but for now, most signs point to me that I was the killer in every case…"

Nix wiped the blood off his hands from another kill looking at the remains of the engineer he thinks he might have gotten a bit carried away with that one before he looked at the shield Generator before himthrowing a couple plasma caster projectiles at the generator before cutting into it exposing wireing he looks up as the clear indication that the shield is beginning to fizzle. Nix pulled out his pistol before cocking his head from side to side shooting wildly in the room making noises as if their were a struggle before slamming himself into the generator draining its energy before falling face first in the gore with the guards and engineer to make it seem as if they had tried to stop the murderer together.

Nix would send out a telepathic message to the other murderers "sheilds down going back undercover."

Willow and Ivy took the shirt in both of their hands. They nodded in response to Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure telling them to be careful. He knew what the twins feared the most and in some way, looking into this matter might also cause them to look into their own futures. And that was something that they tried desperately to avoid if ever possible.

The twins sat down and placed the shirt onto their laps, draped across them. Closing their eyes, they held their hands above the fabric and connected to the Force. Almost right away they saw the intricate webs that surrounded them all, each of them varying in thickness and colour. Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim 's had changed in colour since the last time that they had seen her, but now wasn't the time to ask about it. Instead they focused on the shirt and the strands of webbing coming from it. There were a few to choose from. Yet it was the darker one that Willow chose to follow.

"Willow's on the trail now. She's backtracking from this point to when the blood was spilled." Ivy tended to be the one to relay the commentary of what was happening within their minds.
