Description:
This gun is made for special force groups or assassins. It's primary weapon is a particle beam rifle with an effective range of 1200 meters. It doesn't have the longest range for a sniper rifle, but it makes up for this by being able to fire a bolt that is invisible. (Source for this technology) The drawback to this ability, however, is the canisters which hold the specialized gases needed to make the bolt invisible, are very expensive. At 1,000 credits each, you won't be taking this to the range just to go plinking around.

The other special feature to this weapon was the dart gun that it possessd. Unlike pre-filled darts, though, the darts loaded would be empty. The canister with the biohazard symbol on it contains several vials (4) of different compounds. When the shooter is ready, he/she simply chooses which toxin/tranquilizer he/she wishes to use, and the dart is then injected. The dart gun is now ready to fire. Although this method grants the user a lot of versatility. The dart gun is very slow to fire. Requiring a minimum of 5 seconds in between shots, to reload a new dart, and inject the selected toxin/tranquilizer.

Description: This gun is made for special force groups or assassins. It is meant to be a compliment to the SS-7. Like its big brother, it is able to fire a bolt that is invisible. (Source for this technology) The drawback to this ability, however, is the canisters which hold the specialized gases needed to make the bolt invisible, are very expensive. At 200 credits each, you won't be taking this to the range just to go plinking around.

The benefit to this weapon as apposed to the rifle version, is it's size. It is much more effective in close quarters combat due to the extra maneuverability it affords. And as a pistol, it is also much more concealable. Combine this weapon with a couple other pieces of STI equipment, and you'll be able to get in and out of just about any place undetected. Although the range is a bit low for a modern pistol, it is still more than accurate enough to target a subject in a large hall, or a couple city blocks away.

The final piece of this pistol was like its bigger compatriot, it could be fired in "sniper mode", effectively doubling its range. But at the cost of ammunition. Instead of being able to fire 50 shots, in sniper mode, it could only fire 10.

Description: This suit is going to work well for a more basic trooper that wants some upgraded protection against blaster fire and other energy based weapons, but can't necessarily afford the upgrade of active camo that the Mirage offers. Our scientists at STI worked extremely hard to bring you this unique piece. They started with the skin of a Greater Calama. As the creature is able to travel naturally through fire and even molten lava, this suit is right off the bat, fire proof. The natural properties of this skin being what they are, also make it extremely resistant to blaster fire. To the point of being on par with durasteel armor.

The benefit to this, is a lightweight alternative to durasteel, but still maintaining the same strong protection. For added resistance, we added plates to cover major portions of the body. The plates are made from the Greater Calama's own shell. This adds a good deal bit of weight, considering how light it would be without it, but the trade off was felt to be worth it. The reason, is, although the hide is extremely resistant to fire and blaster weapons, it's still just a hide. Slugthrowers will still make quick work of it without the plates.

In order to maintain the flexibility and light weight though, these plates were only put across key areas, while leaving the rest open.

Description: In an effort to give operatives the peace of mind that they can perform a task without being overheard, STI brings you "Sheer Silence". A portable noise canceling device that creates a 2 meter bubble around the wearer that effectively cuts off sound from escaping the wearer. The unit is effective at keeping all but the loudest sounds from escaping. Only the sound from a shaped charge or similar level explosive device is loud enough to breach the bubbles barrier. And even then only at about the decibel level of a person having a normal conversation. This model is an improve over the older archaic model which could only mask lower volume sounds.

The drawback to this marvel, it the effect is a double blind. There wearer won't be able to hear anything but the loudest noises coming from outside the bubble. (
The source for this technology) It is also a bit on the bulky side as compared to the original less powerful model. The energy antenna, which broadcasts the noise canceling bubble, is designed to attach itself to any material on the wearers back. Is is also flexible, so as to conform with light armors such as leather, or heavy fabrics.

Effectively cancels out all but the loudest sounds coming from the wearer to outside listeners.

Description: This state of the art medical droid can be used in tandem with another unit or by itself to retrieve, heal, or stabilize any wounded soldier on the modern battlefield today. It is guaranteed to be the first and only field medic you will ever need! For this demonstration, we will describe the droid from the ground up.
Its repulsor lift allows it to float effortlessly over any terrain thrown at it, and can get past objects as high as 10 meters tall. The circles you see about the middle of the repulsor lift are actually lights which allow for night search and rescue missions. The "belt" located just above the search lights is actually a modified "No-Show". For those soldier malicious enough to "shoot the medic first", we have provided this little added bonus to better allow your unit to secretly and covertly move through the battlefield unnoticed. Thus lowering the chances your unit might be destroyed!

Now although this droid works great by itself, when used in tandem with a companion FM-9, the 2 slots you see located on top of the repulsor lift can be used to fit a stretcher in between the 2 units. Any droid can lift a soldier and retrieve him on its own. However with the stretcher, the droids can now perform even advanced surgery on a wounded soldier while simultaneously getting him to safety! The "eye" in the middle of its stomach area is a sensor to check the vitals of the patient while in transit.

The 10 shapes you see in the chest are actually large vials containing different medications and drugs including the all important bacta. Now moving on to the arms. The 2 nubs you see are actually protected tool casings. Inside each "nub" are 5 syringes for 5 different drugs, along with 10 different medical tools a medic would need for surgery, or simple patch ups which simply pop out when needed. The 2 other arms allow for one unit to effectively act as 2 people, and a duo working together, act almost as a full medical team of 4 doctors!

And the last piece of interest for you to view is the head. It's vocabulator allows it to speak to a patient, speaking any of the top 7,000 languages in the galaxy. The knowledge to perform any medical procedure (short of prosthetic replacement on the field) on up to any 700 species desired is also stored here. An off the shelf droid is programmed with the top 700 most populace species in the galaxy, but any species can be substituted for another on request! It is also equiped with 360 degree vision so as not to miss any possible wounded in the field as well as keep an eye on current battle conditions so it can stay out of the way.

Not viewable in this image is a storage bin located on its back containing additional medical supplies, such as bandages, splints, exc.

Description: This device is essentially an armband which project a skintight electromagnetic sheath around the wearer. This field essentially acted to scramble the biosignature and energy emissions of the wearer, and obscured the wearers thermal, infrared, and sonic signature from sensors, but also rendered the wearer essentially invisible on most active and passive sensors and scanners - as well as inaudible to the ear. However, the field would also interfere with any scanners, sensors or communication devices held by the wearer - something potentially fatal to an infiltrator.

The reason for the design being an armband instead of just a simple wrist watch like item is with so many items being designed to go on the wrist, STI didn't want to compete with so many items for that space on a wearer. (Source of technology here)

Description: A specialized dart unique to the SS-7 rifle. It has the ability to have up to 2 different compounds injected into it before being fired. The point of the multiple choice is, it gives the shooter the ability to hit a target with multiple compounds. Thus diminishing the chances greatly that the victim would be able to receive an antidote in time before one or all of the compounds kill him. The versatility comes at a price. It takes 5 seconds to load a dart. And that is after a combination of compounds have been chosen. Due to its less than aerodynamic nature, it also only has a range of 75 meters. The ability to accept more than one compound also increases the price of the dart dramatically. So it is best to take careful aim, and not waste ammunition.

The dart gets its name from the color scheme of materials used. R&D didn't see the need to make it pretty, so long as it performed. It was also an attempt to keep the already pricy item that much cheaper. The four needles help ensure that the target will be injected with both compounds, no matter what angle you hit them at.

Description: As a holographic image disguiser (also known as a holoshroud), it is a highly advanced, and very expensive, portable holoprojector that could be used to disguise an existing object or person. This particular is designed to be worn as an armband. The reason for this is to be able to improve on the capabilities of the earlier models by allowing for a bigger unit. As such, the holoshroud is a able to hold 4 images in its memory banks and work for a grand total of 5 minutes, instead of the 2 minutes run time the original had. This new advantage is thanks to the larger battery storage within the unit, as well as larger memory core. Longer run times could be possible if the unit was hooked up to a larger power source.

When in use, a holoshroud projected a mostly pre-rendered image over the target; the image had to be at least the same size as the target object or larger for obvious reasons. The high-quality image was incredibly realistic; capable of fooling the unaided eye, it even moved when the object or person did. However, the drawback to this, is it has a tell-tale "flicker". While too fast for the normal eye to perceive, it may allow some droids, cameras and other sensors to detect that something was amiss. (Source of technology)
