Shadow Vs. Assassin

Hakora stood on the ledge of a roof where he was looking down below at the ground of the Vitae Alliance where he saw the red hair of a Sith. Hakora, a former Jedi Shadow, was Head of Intelligence. While he knew there were better people out there for this position and Hakora prefered front line work and wanted to one day lead the Force User Branch, he used what skills he had to do his best. This job had led him here today, the woman below was an Assassin and kept prisoner of sorts here, but Hakora did not trust she could just move around. There was only one way for Hakora to learn and that was the Echani way, combat. Hakora lept off the roof and landed without a sound due to using the force to control his fall and landing. He stood now in front of her and drew one of his white lightsabers and pointed it at her, no words were needed.

Valtryx stopped in her tracks, raising an eyebrow at the sudden appearance of the Echani. "Well, you're a merry bunch around here..." She sighed, drawing out her own lightsaber. As she ignited it's red blade, she noticed something about the man. "Hakora?" Her expression turned to a frown, wondering whether this was the eager padawan she had known on Alderaan. In fact, the same padawan she had lost a training duel too. He probably didn't know who she was, but either way she wanted to settle the score. From what she remembered the boy had favoured Vaapad, a rather aggressive form compared to others, and so for her opening she assumed a strong Djem So stance by turning sideways to make her less of a target and keeping her feet locked firmly in balance. "Bring it." She smirked, holding her lightsaber strongly with both hands as she prepared herself for the fight.

It was true to say Hakora was a young Vaapad practictiner back as a Padawan. Now he was a Knight and had been one for years and had not only become a master in the form, he had learn all other forms, but mainly for better understanding of his form so he was not a master in other forms. He did, however, prove to be good at Makashi. He spun his lightsaber and then brought the blade up and in front of his face in a Makashi salute. He then wurled it down to a low gaurd and stood there a moment in a Makashi stance. He then flashed forward switching into Vaapad and using a Swift Flank. He moved quickly to her right side and then pivoted away from her body using a Shan spin that was a 360 degree spin adding power through speed to slash at her stomach. In short, he dashed to her right side, spun quickly to his right and brought his light saber back as her starch on the return swing.

Valtryx shifted forward from her strong stance as the strike came in, meeting Hakora's lightsaber with a low block. She then shifted herself past his blade to send a kick towards his stomach, aiming to put him off guard for a few moments for her following attack. When her kicking foot hit the ground again, she lunged forward with a vertical slice, aiming for the man's stomach shallowly. If it were to hit him then it wouldn't do much, only graze his clothing and singe the edge of his skin slightly. Either way, her movement would continue to go past him and end up behind his left side to resume her defensive stance. She was not going to play the offensive just yet, merely counter. "I'm not the enemy anymore, Hakora." She informed him, although not as if she cared. "But it won't hurt to put you in your place." Her two handed grip tightened once again, awaiting his next attack.

Being at her side, which due to the Djem So stance was in front of her, her attack was a solid, but predictable choice and so he was going to have fun with this. He countered the kick simply by bringing up his own leg to connect which made him a bit surprised at the force of the connection. Once his own foot touched the ground, his blade swept under and up to meet her blade. He then rotated the blade in a sort of storing motion to bring her blade up and lock blades. He then smirked as they were now close enough he could feel her breath, but this wouldn't last long as Hakora's free hand was up at his side leveled with her stomach and a foot away. His hand let out a weak force push, but mixed in it was super charged atoms that were moved very quickly by the Force. In other words, Hakora used a small amount of Pyrokenesis in his force push. He did not believe her to not be the enemy, but harming her was not his intentions.

Valtryx felt the slight heat of the blast that sent her stumbling back, yet she did not go far due to her strong stance. If he wanted to use fire, then she'd counter it with ice. For a moment she took her left hand away from her hilt and began calling upon the force. She started to move backwards, keeping her blade in front of her as a defensive measure while she put some distance between her and Hakora. With the force the air around them became considerably colder, the atoms slowing down by her will. In no time, shards of ice began to form in the air, the size of daggers. A smirk came upon the red-head's face, as she lunged her hand forward to throw the shards at her opponent. Around several shards answered her movement, aiming for various part of the man's body. "You don't know who I am, Hakora."

Hakora looked on her attack in a sort of wonder as he had never seen someone use the Force to make ice. His hand merely did the opposite and sped up the atoms shooting a full blast of fire to combat the incoming ice, but one got through and sliced the edge of his right arm, but was a shallow slice. Hakora sighed as she spoke.... Again. "I am Echani, I learn who people are through combat more than through words yet all o am gathering is you really enjoy talking." Hakora finished his words by throwing his lightsaber at her using the force to control it's spin. He then kept high into the air at her drawing his second lightsaber and spinning it while it came to life. He came down at her using the Sith version of falling leaf that was called a Sith Leap which just looked terrifying to someone if the person using it were a true Sith.

"The pen is mightier than the sword." She merely replied, batting the thrown lightsaber aside with her own as if it were nothing. Then it was time to deal with the leaping attack. For this she unholstered her own second lightsaber, igniting it's orange blade and thrusting them both upwards in an X shape to catch the incoming strike. One contact was made, she would then pull both the blades sideways and out of the lock to strike from both sides underneath the man's guard, aiming for two slices across his stomach area. After making her moves, she would move backwards again to create some more distance, assuming a standard Jar'kai stance. "Know who I am yet?" The woman smirked, wondering whether he had noticed; Jar'kai was the style she had used when she last dueled him.

Things would not transpire the way she had hoped. Before contact a simple flickering of Hakora's lightsaber would happen to where he would shut it off and back on in a flash, the Ultimate pearls in his lightsabers would make this happen so easily. He landed on the ground and his blade stopped just short of her forehead to slice through her. His second lightsaber returned and in a flash he shut it off and performed a flurry of Vaapad fast stab's to her chest. He responded to her words, "the pen was never mightier than the sword, only the mind is mighty which makes any chosen weapon greater than a weak mind, Minna."

Minna looked helplessly at the blade stopping just above her forehead, realizing her mistake. Once the stab's came in, she swirved her lightsaber to each side, batting the strikes aside and off-target. However, once his attacks were finished, she shut off her own lightsabers and lowered them. "If you're not going to kill me, there's no point in fighting." She sighed, spinning the hilts in her hand before holstering them by her sides. "What do you want, Hakora? I haven't got time for games, I have a child to tend to..." Her tone was slightly more annoyed than before, but she still genuinely wished to know what he wanted.

"Death? What do you know of death? Have you felt life of the guilty pass through your hands like a wisp in the wind? Have you heard the screams of the innocent as they uare prematurely robbed of life? You think because Krest calls you guys assassins that makes you Lord of Death? He is a coward and a traitor and he will meet death in due time and it will be by his own arrogance. You, you are better than that so don't soil your tongue with foolish words, you already know why I am here." Hakora stood with his sabers turned off, but ready to continue if he needed.

"Make no mistake, Krest will only die if he refuses to leave the Sith. And if that day comes, it will be by my hand." Her tone was less calm, but still controlled. "If you have something of worth to say, then say it. I have no time for debates about morality. I've had enough of that recently." Minna sighed, remembering her conversation with Vulpesen in the hospital. She was no longer Sith, no longer 'Evil' in the eyes of the Vitae. However, that did not make her redeemed or trusted. No, that would come much later on. She would have to prove herself; by killing Ferus.

Hakora was getting tired of her assumptions of Hakora's position in this game and it was time to change that. "Fool" Hakora lift his left arm and with a powerful concentration of the Force he shot a Force Push at her from close range. Force Push was one of the few abilities he had that was above a Knight level which meant he really needed to train more in the Force. They were standing in an open area so if she flew back she would have to fly 100 clicks before she hit anything so damage was not his intentions. Hakora's purpose was to make his stance clear, "I do not for a second pretend to know how you are Minna, but your signature and the reports don't lie. I may play on the side of Angels, but don't think for a second that I am one of them. I believe in Vulpesen's cause and so I follow it, but I am no Jedi and I am no karking Sith! As long as you are a friend, you are safe, but do not mistake this, I will kill Krest and this has been true since I was 20. I don't know what grudge you have with him, but he has messed with my family for long enough." Hakora finished walking near her and was very close to her, but romance was clearly not the reason, "I have come to see your heart, so now I give you a choice join in killing him or stay the Hell out of my way. Life is granted to all people, but Krest is no person and there will be no intentions." Hakora stayed away from the dark side and it's corruption, but on this matter he walked dangerously close and no amount of words and pleas would protect Krest from Hakora's blades.
