- Description: Under the microscope, the virus is round with spike proteins protruding from it. The colour of the virus cell is mainly dark purple. During the final phases of infection, the host resembles the appearance of the Krazahn but are slightly taller and are covered with infectious fungus like protrusions that splatter an acidic solution when pressure is applied, they loose most of their intelligence when transformed using a combination of grunts, growls, and roars to communicate with other infected hosts.
- Morphology: Spherical

- Distinctions: 50% more infective than the Rakghoul Plague. Permanent & irreversible effects.
- Source: Engineered through a combination Sith Alchemy & Sith Magic
- Host Species: Most Humanoid Species
- Host Range: Broad
- Viability: Wet, Dark & Secluded areas such as forests or underground
- Lethality: Males: Non-Lethal | Females: Fatal
- Severity: Extreme
- Infectivity: High
- Modes of Transmission: An individual can contract the Shadowbane Affliction from being bitten by a Male Krazahn or being injected with a hypo-syringe.
- Incubation Period: 5 Minutes
- Re-Infection: The effects/symptoms of the plague are permanent, and individuals are not able to be re-infected once the virus fully takes over their body.
- Vaccine/Cure: There is no known method to treat individuals with the Shadowbane Affliction, and there is no known Vaccine/Cure that can immunize people for it.

- Balding(if individual has hair) & Loss of Hair
- Stage II
- Excessive bleeding from mouth & nose
- Sharp coughing & Sputtering
- Severe Paranoia

- Physical Mutations
Strengths:
- High infectivity: The Shadowbane Affliction is much like the rakghoul plague(but without a cure) it spreads rapidly and wreaking havoc wherever the plague goes.
- Force Controlled: Force Sensitive Krazahn are able to control the fully transformed host using the Force, making them act as bodyguards or personal pets for Sith Lords.
- Highly Adaptable: The Krazahn Monstrosities are able to survive in any environment that they are in, making them expert natural survivalists and hunters.
- Lack of Intelligence: During the painful transformation & mutation of the host, the host looses all intelligence, making them mindless beasts.
- Permanent Form: The physical mutations to the host's body is permanent, they cannot be redeemed to their former selves and never will.
- The Force: Light Side Force abilities such as Force Light, or other light emitting powers and/or abilities can severely injure or kill the hosts.
- Unable to Use Weapons: Due to the Krazahn Monstrosities' immense height & size, they are unable to use any sort of weapons except for their powerful claws & jaws
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Overview
The Shadowbane Affliction, commonly known as the Shadowbane Virus/Plague is a highly infectious plague, engineered by Nyvar Tyrkas in 10,942 BBY. The Shadowbane Affliction was a viral plague that was had several similarities to the Rakghoul Plague. Shadowbane Affliction has the ability to transform & mutate most humanoid species(with the exception of Twi'leks, Nautolans) into beasts resembling the Krazahn. Under the microscope, the virus is round with spike proteins protruding from it. The color of the virus cell is mainly dark purple.
During the Virus's creation, Nyvar created a unique Sith Relic that functioned as an amplifier for the plague, making it 3 times more infective & also enabling the infected to regain their intelligence when fully transformed. This Relic, called the Tyrkas Relic was locked away in one of the many temples across Krazorath
History
The origins of the plague trace back to the year of undercity laboratory of Zephyria, back in the . The initial trial of this highly infectious pathogen involved two Krazahn individuals—a male and a female, both serving as unwitting subjects. Swiftly following the introduction of the virus through injection, the female succumbed to its effects, dropping dead moments after. However, the male subject embarked on a harrowing metamorphosis, undergoing a process marked by agony, ultimately resulting in his transformation into what would be remembered as the first Krazahn Monstrosity. Upon the culmination of this experimentation, the subject, now transformed, was promptly disposed, thus concluding this experiment.
During 10,919 BBY, Nyvar Tyrkas spread a slightly modified version of the virus on Zephyria. This variant manipulated the cells responsible for male reproduction. The cells were altered so that male offspring would be born with a unique genetic anomaly that gave venom glands that were filled with the original virus, which was modified to act like venom. After thousands of years, the Krazahn would rarely use the ancient virus in combat, only using it to pacify hostile outsiders. However, an insidious Krazahn Sith Lord known as Darth Iraath would discover these mindless beasts can be controlled using the Force. He used these beasts to act as his personal servants, bodyguards, and assassins.
