Hira Mitsae
Ain't No Rest For The Wicked
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To create an entity bound to Julian Imani.
- Role: The devil on his shoulder. Literally. A source of power, a source of discomfort.
- Links: N/A
- Age: Ancient. Several millennia at the very least.
- Force Sensitivity: Master
- Species: Sith Spirit.
- Appearance: See above for their form in the Netherworld. Outside of the Netherworld and while bound to Imani, they are pretty much invisible. Only when they manifest (to manipulate something physical) do they leave an imprint in the form of a shadow. More often than not it is Julian's shadow they manifest as, but they can show themselves as anything. See above for a different shape of theirs.
- Name: Shadowman. Also referred to as the Beast That Shapes, the Shadow That Follows.
- Loyalties: Itself | Julian Imani.
- Wealth: None.
- Notable Possessions: Julian Imani.
- Skills:
Physical Manifestation. Because of their connection to Julian they can manipulate the physical world to a degree. They are strong while they manifest themselves, on par with a Wookiee or a Trandoshan. - Sith Pureblood. Is is intimately familiar with Sith Magic and other fields of the arcane. Can also speak and write and read ancient Sith like its their first language. Probably because it was.
- Power amplification. Without the spirit Julian is substantially less powerful. In terms of raw power he could barely lift a pebble, before the spirit bonded with him. Now... well, he still cannot lift any pebbles, but he can preform rituals and feats of crafting that were impossible to him before.
[*]Personality: A grouchy acerbic cat. Basically. Mischievous too and always plotting this or that. In comparison to a regular Sith spirit Shadowman is far less interested in galactic domination, endless genocide and the sort. Mostly because they are old and they have gotten their share of pillaging and murder in their youth. At some point the unending screams of your victims grows old and boring, no?
COMBAT INFORMATION
- Weapon of Choice: Julian Imani. Their own physical manifestation, limbs and the sort.
- Combat Function: The shadow almost never detaches itself in full combat, because of the risk this entails. In that very moment they are the most vulnerable. The connection to Julian thin and breakable. A powerful burst of Force Light could rip it to shreds and cast them back into the Netherworld. Or alternatively destroy it completely. It functions the best in situations of stealth, where it isn't expected or accounted for.
Shadow: Difficult to notice and spot. But they are still a shadow, so there are situations where a random shadow creeping about would be... less than stealthy. - Specialized: It won't be launching Force Storms or other chit at their enemies. They are exceptional at Sith Magic, Alchemy, the arcane, but almost none of that is actually useful in the heat of battle. You need time for it, preparation, incantation. If it has that? Great! If not... then they are far less effective with the Force.
- Force Light: A single powerful burst of Force Light has the potential of wiping it off the map, if they are detached from Imani and physically manifested.
- Physical: When physically manifested it can rend flesh with its limbs, cut and slice and kill. If it focuses it can even penetrate heavy armor for some time, but that last thing is very taxing.
- Force Void: If there is no Force, the Shadowman is in trouble. It can exist within Julian's body for a time, but eventually it will be cast out into the Netherworld.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The origins of Shadowman, the Shadow That Shapes, and all those other names are cloaked in mysteries. It doesn't speak of its past, before it became a shade of the Netherworld and perhaps that is for the best. After all, it is only the worst of the worst that find themselves within Chaos and only few have the strength to bind themselves to someone on top of that.
The Shadowman did both.
It was during the Akala Crisis that Julian found himself in the Netherworld in the flesh. All he knows is that one day he woke up and the Shadowman stood before him. Over him. It hungered, but Julian was savvy and offered a... bargain of sorts. A bargain made, was a bargain done, yah?
The content of that bargain is a tightly-kept secret between the two of them.
But the result remained the same. Shadowman bond himself to Imani and together they managed to crawl out of the hells of the Netherworld. One does not serve the other, the other does not serve the former- even if both of them have their own ideas who has the ultimate say in things. They work together, make bargains with others (some of which grow to regret their pacts) and day-by-day they become stronger as a result of their works.
For when the Shadow grows stronger... so does Julian.
Fates entwined. Such is the way of a bargain done.
