Private Shadows and Credits

Planet Christophsis

From behind a panoramic transparasteel window, Darth Voyance looked out to the crystalline horizons of the emerald blue world. As she did so she paced the edges of the large boardroom chamber she had been escorted to upon her arrival to the facilities owned by the rising industrial juggernaut that was Gat Tambor Gat Tambor . She had heard from the whispers in the Empire of a Skakoan who had gained some notoriety in accessing the Empire's insulated market. This peaked her interest and she had sent envoys to parlay with the Skakoan, to her surprise he agreed to a meeting. Voyance was not a person of commerce, but, in order to acquire the necessary assets she needed to develop her contingency for the Sith Empire - she would have to learn. By her side were to maiden Voss, dressed in dark red robes that mirrored her pacing path keeping watchful vigil with their beaming azure eyes. Behind them was a black polished protocol droid, who had come with plans and schematics for the meeting.

Darth Voyance stopped at the end of the window and turned around. She walked towards the long chrome conference table that stretched down the center of the chamber. She rested her hand on the table and slid it across, caressing the perfectly processed metal alloy. If the Skakoan was as impecable as his business spaces, she relished the idea of what terror they could conjure. But, men of industry spoke in the language of commerce - ideologies, philosophical goals, and political ambitions were paltry compensation for agreeing to an industrial venture.

The door opened and Voyance looked away from her reflection in the chrome. The sith twi'lek eyed the Skakoan as he arrived and she gave him a curt nod.

"A pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Tambor," said Darth Voyance, as her attendants flocked to her sides.

The Viceroy held little value in political rhetoric. The esoteric philosophies of the Sith or Jedi mean't nothing to Tambor. He was subject in realm of numbers, analytics, schematics and credit chits. However ; any Sith carrying the title of Darth would prove to be a noteworthy client. It seemed his arms licenses with a Sith Empire in numerous conflicts had already proven a worthy gamble. It was a maneuver scorned by his retinue of cold, pragmatic Skakoan engineers who reviled any political entanglements ; especially with a government rooted in a philsophy which spelled that betrayal was acceptable if it mean't greater potential for power. Luckily for Tambor - he was in just the business for sating the amibitions of the most delusional warlords that the galaxy bred.

Whatever power or influence Voyance possessed within Sith Space ; she was another yet another wide eyed seeker of power and philanderer of death that the galaxy had spit into the court of the Skakoan technocrat.

The blast door hissed open to reveal the Skakoan - confined into atmospheric suit draped in the purple and blue of his station as Viceroy he sat himself at the end of the conference table, pulling his seat forward against the chrome table before he peered toward the Sith - his eerie alien gaze barely discernible beneath the thick goggles of his suit.

"EUWOERERERWEOREREEEEEOR-- Darth Voyance ; a pleasure but I can only assume a deviation in your course to Christophsis is warranted for talks of business, yes?" The Skakoan asked ; opening up the exchange with a loud whirring from his voice modulator before tuning it back into place once more.

"Business indeed, Mr. Tambor," Darth Voyance said as she sat down at the conference table.

Eyeing Gat Tambor Gat Tambor she inspected the towering metallic encased lord of commercial destruction. Business folk were a mystery for her. They were lead by their own code of ethics, conduct, and etiquette that was entirely foreign to her. Still she would learn the language of commerce if her plans of founding a new Sith Order were to come to fruition. Darth Voyance closed her hands together and settled her elbows on the table, staring the Skakoan down.

"I am in need of your industrial prowess, Mr. Tambor," said Voyance. "You have done well with the other contracts I have studied with the Empire."

"So I have come to discuss terms for the construction of a facility for my personal use."

Voyance beckoned the protocol droid to come forward. The droid shuffled its way forward and presented a miniature holo-projection device that activated into a blue glow. The glow shivered and fluctuated into a dark silhouette that then focused into a crisp hologram image of the schematics for a space docks station.

"What I propose is the creation of a fully automated space docks station," Voyance said her voice more severe and flat.

"This would be for my personal use, and devoid of any...financial records for Imperial posterity."

Gat Tambor was spades more fond of listening than he was speaking and thus sat stiff in his seat - his beady inquisitive eyes wide within his pressure sealed goggles, observing the Twi'lek with flat interest. A Sith Lady or not - she would just be another client to the Technoid Manufactorum. No compromises would be made in her stead if she did not prove a worthwhile customer. Her words of admiration proved well enough but revelry did not stand wholly in place of an actual line of credit.

"I see- But Space Docks for what vessels? Do you possess a fleet of your own?" Gat Tambor had to ask. It seemed like too much of a criminally incompetent shortsight to seek such a station without the ships for it to maintain and support. Granted - the Skakoan more than fully expected Voyance to have a sizable retinue surrounding her.

"And so this must be made off the record yes? Still the Technoid Manufactorum operates between the jurisdiction of three Galactic scale governments- I do need to keep records of my purchase if my places of manufacturer are to remain secure. " His line of questioning was purely pragmatic - he wanted nothing to do with whatever reasoning she had but she was a paying consumer, he would oblige by her wishes.

"By what front should I record this transaction?" He asked outright - not shying away from the dubious nature of the exchange.

"You are as shrewd as you are stoic, Mr. Tambor," Voyance said reclining in her seat.

"If the transaction cannot be laundered by some front, you may record the transaction as completed with a party known as the Lord of Xo," Voyance said while clasping her fingers together and resting them on the clean chrome surface of the table. As she did so the protocol droid changed the hologram image to a holo-map showing the world Xo, a solitary world on the very edge of the galaxy outside of Sith Imperial space.

"I say this, because this is where I would like spacedocks delivered," Voyance continued, "As for logistical maintanence and support, my own fleet shall supply you with the requisite support. I'm sure you can supply the droid labrorers to conduct the administration of the spacedocks."

"As for the vessel of production," Voyance pointed to the protocol droid who once again manipulated the hologram into a new image.

"I would request the creation of this vessel, enough for a small but, powerful flotilla," Voyance said, continuing, "The vessel should be robust enough to besiege a world, deliver heavy fire power bombardment and be able to carry a modest starfighter contingent."

"However, the caveat is that the vessels shall be manned by droids and slave rigged in a close circuit to my command ship."

Voyance then leaned forward meet the obscured and armored eyes of the Skakoan with her golden binaries.

"I understand this is a substantial ask. Though I'm sure your capacity to deliver it is unmatched. However, you and I are people of ambition and yield. So let us discuss payment."

"What I can offer you is a modest credit financial payment up front, however, what I can also provide you is Sith Naval Imperial schematics - say for example that of my own Command Battlecruiser for yours to use and dissect. In addition, I shall soon have an associate of mine that will be in position to make gains in the Hapes Consortium - perhaps a "business deal of most favored economic partner" can be arranged?"

Gat Tambor Gat Tambor

Gat sat with his fingertips linked against one another, eyeing the schematic eagerly with widened eyes beneath his thick rimmed atmospheric goggles. With the front for which the purchase would be recorded - Tambor had little else to inquire, merely to hear the exact specifications for the request. Approaching the protocol droid holding out the holo-projection of Voyance's flagship the Skakoan eyed it almost lovingly. Smoothing a gloved hand along the wedged shape of the battle cruiser. Perhaps the first thing that has truly been able to impress Gat Tambor -- all he cared to see was technological marvels and feats of engineering brilliance. The scale of the vessel, the precisely engineered features of the vessel all captured Tambor's attention along with the starkly unique crimson hue of the vessel and the complex symbol of the KEEPERS OF THE SITH ORDER strident on both flanks of the vessel.

"OWEWEWWWWWWWEOWEEEEEORRREEEEEEEEEEEEEROEEEEE - Very well ; Lady Sith. We have our deal -- the credits mean...nothing to me. What matters to me more is that boundries of what is possible be pushed to its limited...a droid fleet, automated space docks and this elegant beauty you care to instruct have my attention. OWEWEREREWUWUEWWEWEEEEEEEORE -- The Technoid Manufactorum will take this contract in whole. Have your droid draft the contract and send it through my offices...I shall see that this contract be delivered personally." Gat Tambor muttered, eventually twisting the dial of his voice modulator before extending a hand to shake hers with.

"I will take my technicians to Xo at once -- as soon the resources for this project are secured. Send whatever credits you care to put up to my logistics office and a purchase will be made from my Confederate contacts as per the request that this be concealed from the Sith authorities." Gat Tambor iterated before soon enough he was hovering his way from the meeting room. It seemed he had all bases covered in how to approach this deal. He had her put up an investment upfront to prevent her from turning him in to the Sith Empire for constructing illegal military assets without their oversight. Nor would the Sith see any of these transactions take place -- all being handled by Confederate offices who were all but apathetic to what the corporations within their space conducted. All anyone outside the two within this meeting and their close retinue would see is a Sith-Imperial trusted arms manufacturer setting up shop in orbit of a Sith-Imperial world. In all but rigid details, perfectly legal.
