Valin moved silently through the dark, narrow streets of Jelucian's lower quarter, his senses sharp as he searched for any sign of his target. The Sith had been elusive, blending into the shadows of this overpopulated world, but Valin had been patient. Now, with the moon casting faint light over the city, he knew the time had come.

Clad in dark tattered trench coat Valin's presence in the Force was carefully masked. Every footstep blending with the ambient noise of the city. He could feel the faint tremor of the dark side, like a whisper, leading him toward a run-down district ahead.

His hand instinctively brushed the hilt of his lightsaber, ready for the moment his quarry would reveal themselves. "You can't hide forever," Valin muttered under his breath, eyes scanning the rooftops for movement. The hunt was about to begin.

He was careful, he always was. He made sure no Jedi would follow him, and they never did. But this time, he admits he was careless.

Nexion was simply here to conduct experiments to further his ability in Sith Necromancy, but he got careless. The Jedi must have found his most recent acquisition and sensed someone of the Sith was there. He got a glimpse of who the Jedi was, and began to hide rooftop to rooftop. He was confident in his skills, but he would have preferred it if he could just leave without dealing with a Jedi.

He took out both his sabers but didn't activate them, continuing to run along the roofs in hopes of losing the him. He muttered to himself as he ran.

"I think I can run forever, thank you very much."

As Valin closed the gap, his formidable silhouette came into view, casting a menacing shadow over the rooftops. His wild white hair caught the faint glow of the moonlight, flowing in the night breeze as his broad shoulders and muscular build painted an ominous silhouette. Each step in his heavy, knee-high tactical boots landed with purpose as he padded after his prey, the sound echoing ominously through the cityscape.

Donning in military-style fatigues, and a tattered trench coat his appearance was both tactical and brutal. Fingerless gloves flexed over the hilt of his massive vibrosword, the weapon hanging across his back like a silent threat. A lightsaber dangled at his waist, while several guns were strapped to his thighs glinted of metal barely visible in the moonlight as he moved.

"You're running out of rooftops," Valin growled, his voice rumbling like thunder as he slowed to a walk. "But keep going if you want to make this fun for me." His icy gaze locked onto the Sith, the confidence in his pursuit unwavering.

"You can try to flee..." Valin murmured under his breath, his voice low and steady. "But we both know how this ends."

He could sense Nexion's frustration, the Sith's agitation bubbling beneath his false confidence. Valin didn't rush; instead, he waited for the perfect moment to strike. Timing was everything. He wasn't chasing Nexion—he was corralling him, pushing him toward a dead end.

"You've already admitted your mistake, Sith," Valin called out as he closed the distance, his voice cutting through the air. "Running only delays the inevitable."

"Well, even if that is the case, I'll take delaying over senseless risk. Besides, who says I'm fleeing? I'm simply trying to avoid more work than is worth."

Nexion responded to the Jedi behind him. He wasn't scared, even concerned. He was simply bothered that what was supposed to be an easy task was interrupted by Jedi being their usual selves. Thankfully, he had a plan that would help him handle the Jedi. Where the Jedi caught onto his trail wasn't his workshop, just the house of his latest victim. His lab was just a few rooftops away, and when he was there, he wouldn't have to worry about the Jedi for long.

"And you shouldn't worry, you're right that we know how this will end: I'll be free, and you either dead, or at the very least a failure in capturing me."

Valin's smirk deepened as the Sith neared the final rooftop, the narrow space providing no obvious escape. Valin recognized the moment he'd been waiting for.

"You've run far enough, Sith," Valin growled, his voice a low rumble. Without slowing his pursuit, his hand reached for the bolas strapped to his belt. The weighted cords slid smoothly into his grasp, and with a practiced flick of his wrist, he began to spin them through the air.

With a burst of motion, Valin hurled the bolas toward Nexion's legs, aiming to tangle him up and force the Sith into a vulnerable position. The bolas spun through the air, the weights gleaming faintly in the moonlight, closing the distance quickly. Valin's icy gaze remained locked on the Sith, but he wasn't done yet. With a sharp pivot, Valin drew two pistols from his thighs, each set to stun.

The sound of the shots rang out immediately after the bolas left his hand. Valin unleashed a barrage of stun rounds, aiming wide arcs around the Sith to limit his room for movement. The rounds burst from the barrels in quick succession, streaking toward Nexion's left and right, cutting off escape routes as Valin pressed the attack.

"You won't slip away so easily," Valin said, watching how the Sith would react as both the bolas and the stun rounds closed in.
