Public Shadows of the Underworld - The Beginning

This is a non-pvp thread (narrative conflict is allowable within reason, but this is not meant to be a combat focused thread). This is a social thread meant to hopefully provide a means for criminal/underworld themed characters to get together, and also to hopefully network with others. Your host is my character, Erich Kreutz, who was formerly a Vigo in the service of the Hutt Republic. He is now on his own, attempting to build up a criminal enterprise. If you'd like to work with/for him, please feel free to approach him! otherwise, have fun and relax!

TAG: Literally anyone
LOCATION: Dohlban | New Club known as 'Revena' (Submission pending)

This wasn't the normal setting Erich was accustomed to. Whilst in the service of Lortho the Hutt, he had made himself into an indispensable figure within his organization, and had reaped the rewards of that station by virtue of residing within a high rise on Nar Shaddaa. Now? He had used the considerable fortune he had spirited away - via both legitimate and not so legitimate means - to establish on the planet of Dohlban. It wasn't exactly a name that 'rolled off the tongue', or even a planet frequently heard of. Honestly, that was the appeal of this place to Erich. It was technically within a neutral system, on the fringe of both Silver Jedi Concord & Mandalorian Enclave space. The native species was as unintelligent as they were ugly, which meant the only jurisdictional authority on the world were the criminal elements who had established a foothold here to exploit the native populace. This meant that with enough credits, anyone could do anything on a world like Dohlban, without any real interference.

So, Erich had secured himself a modest estate with his 'fortune', and maintained a staff of servants, guards, and other necessary employees to keep the place operating. But he wasn't here to simply 'spend' money. He needed to earn money as well. He had began subtly stretching his metaphorical tendrils upon the world, investing in profitable endeavors here and there in the form of weapons smuggling, spice dealing, extortion, and even more legitimate avenues such as the opening of an up and coming club - the site of tonight's festivities. Revena had opened only a few months ago, and had soon become the keystone place in which to unwind and relax. It had four levels; one underground, the ground level, and two levels above. The underground level served the purpose of a secret, discrete place in which Erich conducted his... business. The ground level was the main club level the general patrons populated. The second level was more of an upscale, VIP level, and the topmost level was Erich's own private penthouse.

The top two levels took up half the footprint of the bottom two levels, with an externally opaque wall of solid transparisteel which allowed perfect visibility on the scenes below from the other side. Those who received the transmission Erich had taken great pains to encrypt would be contacted by his staff and given this address to come to, with the event being called a 'networking event' for those looking for work by someone who 'appreciates talent'. It wouldn't just be sent out to those Erich had sought to employ, but others Erich either wished to maintain friendly relations with ( Pyrrah Tae Pyrrah Tae ), or those he wished to establish relations with ( Cass Gemini Cass Gemini ). For those who received his personal invitation, whether it was through the transmission or otherwise, they'd be given a special pass which granted them access through the well armed and armored bouncers throughout the club to the 2nd level, where they would be greeted with a finely-adorned club room.

The aforementioned transparisteel wall would be on the side overlooking the main club below, with a massive holoscreen on the opposing wall displaying soft-toned fractcal images of complementing colors. Several tables were set up in rows along the long side of the room with places to sit and eat, with a table in the center arrayed in all manner of foods and drink. Serving droids were positioned throughout the massive room, ready to serve at a moment's indication.

Erich himself stood near the back of the room, staring out the transparisteel exterior wall at the view of outer Dohlban. It was a terrestrial world, not unlike the thousands of other terrestrial worlds throughout the galaxy. It had it's own beauty, but nothing no one well traveled had seen before. He was dressed in a white tuxedo, black bow-tie, with a red kerchief in his front pocket. He held a glass of champagne in his hand, and sipped at it gingerly as he awaited his hopeful guests to arrive.

It had been too long since Ghorua had gone to one of these.

Stepping into the room was a gargantuan being. He was ten feet tall, seemingly dressed in a dark velvet suit, with cufflinks of the purest silver. Once an onlooker craned their neck enough, they would see a dark, rounded face, with crinkles of age around deep black eyes, and a cocky smile comprised of serrated teeth. Despite his intimidating size, he appeared to be unarmed and unarmored, but there was certainly more to the outfit than met the eye.

The Shark had been a bounty hunter for many years before his semi-retirement. Was he ever the best? No, he supposed not. Despite decades of chasing targets and completing jobs, there was always someone above him, a Julian Valentine or Koda Fett. Hunters willing to risk anything and everything to prove they were the number one. Ghorua had never been that person. He didn't suppose he ever would be.

Ghorua had hung up his armor to go into the business of info-brokering. It was easy for the Shark to transition from tracking bounties in the field to tracking them on the Holonet. But despite it all, he never lost the itch. The yearning to don the armor again, and go out for just one more score.

He'd accepted the fact that he'd always want 'just one more'. For as long as he lived, he'd never be happy behind a desk. Hence, the invitation. The party.

It was time to prove he was the best.

Ghorua found a servant droid, and offered it a brilliant grin. "This place got any tea?"

It rushed off to find him something piping hot, although Ghorua was unsure what sort of flavors Dohlban might be hiding.

Funny how the grapevine worked when one had intertwined branches. You hear all sorts of things. Most, if not all, never intended for you. Purposely excluding you, even. But when you have intertwined branches, things have a way of finding you.

And that is precisely how Maestus found herself on Dohlban. Words reached her of a meeting between the more unsavory characters within the galaxy. Maestus had business dealings outside her dedication to the Brotherhood of the Maw. Business dealings that may or may not be illegal most everywhere.

It was a logical and heavily calculated move to "crash the party". She is working towards expanding her personal assets. Given her line of work, a meeting of the criminal minds is prime real estate for future possibilities.

The crimson skinned and heavily tattooed Twi'Lek stepped into the room. She took only a couple steps before she paused. She wore a simple white shift style dress, with a jagged, fairy style hem that brushed the tops of her calfs.

Her eyes, the obsidian orbs ringed with red fire, slowly slid around the room. As her gaze would land on someone, she would study them momentarily. Creating a rough profile of them. Assessing possible threats. And, ever the Sith Lord, searching for weaknesses or flaws to exploit.

The first person her gaze lands is Ghorua the Shark Ghorua the Shark . His sheer size alone caught her eye. She looked him over, twice. She was intrigued. Intrigued because so few had brawn AND brains. But, she surmised, if he was here, at this meeting, he was good at what he did. He definitely warrants further investigation.

The next person her eyes fell upon is Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz and his white tuxedo. Very dashing, but was the man all style and no substance? Perhaps he was here because of honeyed words dripping off a silver tongue advanced him well. Or, was he an even more dangerous specimen? A man capable of talking the talk, and walking the walk? This she simply had to ascertain.

She strode confidently towards Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz . As she drew near, she allowed an actual smile come to her lips. Funny, she hadn't smiled truly in.....Years possibly. It was a strange sensation, although not entirely unpleasant.

When she reaches Erich, she studies his face for a second before speaking.

I am Maestus. Fancy meeting you here.

Awkward in social situations? Very. And she silently cursed herself for her lack of social graces. She did not tolerate failure within herself. For any reason. To Maestus, there was always another peak to reach. Plateaus were unacceptable, because that meant something was finite. And Maestus has deep seated feelings about the subject of what is and isn't infinite.

For now, though, she looked at Erich. Idly wondering if he would laugh at her foolish attempt at humor.

Sasmay had not been on Kraken business for some time, but the possibility of a new place to lay low and make connections was never something to pass up on. Deciding to err on the side of friendlier intent rather than aggressive nature that was usually about her, she chose to wear casual clothes against the military attire she had left on the Gray Throne.

She watched the Lethan enter before her, watching her go with focused attention before fumbling for the door handle and stepping inside. A small whistle of approval at the sights within as she swept her eyes over the place. There was no clear sign of her allegiance to the Kraken Coalition, but her attitude might have suggested it.

She wiggled to the tune a bit while making her way over to the bar before spying the large being with shiny teeth and watching him. Was a curiosity for the woman, and something she would follow up on as she got her whiskey and slipped between bodies to approach the large hulking being.

"Can't say I've met anyone with an imposing cut like yours." Sasmay offered a warm smile to Ghorua the Shark Ghorua the Shark , holding a hand out to shake. One fun thing about being liberated from larger government structures was the lack of concern for decorum. Or the fabrication of relations when you were little more than cut bait anyway. "Sasmay Cull."

Her eye narrowed to the towering being with consideration. Didn't hold himself like a stern, trouble scoping aura like a typical guard did so that was ruled out. The eyes were scanning, but not for trouble brewing here anyway.

"You don't walk like the muscle for this place. Business or pleasure brings you here?"

Ever the polite host, Erich gave a polite nod to the first few guests who entered the loft. The first was a... droid, who mechanically situated itself at a table and awaited for someone to interact with it. The crime lord strolled over to the waiting automaton with his champagne flute in his hand, extending an easy smile at the entity as he spoke: "Welcome to Revena. I'm sure we can find refreshments more to your... liking." Before names could be exchanged however, the next guest entered into the loft - a quite unexpected guest.

Erich had seen much in his life, but never had he seen a creature like Ghorua the Shark Ghorua the Shark , who gave even the crime lord himself pause at his entrance. He merely raised his glass politely at the brute, and sipped the remainder of its contents before placing it on a tray of a waiting robotic server. He soon picked up a fresh glass, and not a moment too soon as the third guest arrived.

If there ever was a woman who looked every ounce the part of who she actually was, it was the Lethan Twi'lek sauntering over to him. As she made eye contact with him, the baser tendency within Erich's genetic makeup made it almost impossible to resist allowing his eyes to wander along the woman's features as she approached. There was a reason Twi'lek women were often seen within the countless pleasure houses of the galaxy - particularly Lethan Twi'leks. A faint, wolfish grin lined his face as she stopped before him, Erich careful to avoid gawping too shamelessly at her as she did so. 'Fancy meeting you here' she said. His wolfish grin morphed into a ready smile, his neatly trimmed beard framing the gesture in a singular way. The ease of his reply was reminiscent of an aged Chandrilan Brandy; matured, and smooth:

"Come here often?"

He took a sheepish sip of his champagne and savored the flavor on his lips for a moment, but followed up his equally shameless retort with another one in turn: "I don't think so, now that I think of it. I would remember seeing you I'm sure." He snapped at a passing serving droid, who redirected and came to a stop and inclined a tray of drinks to the Twi'lek obediently. "Erich Kreutz, at your service." Erich gave Maestus a slight bow from his waist - nothing more than a single digit-of-a-percent incline, enough to indicate respect without appearing overzealous.

Yet another guest made themselves known at the party. Erich was already engaged in conversation with Maestus, but the serving droids milling about would be sure to provide hospitality to Sasmay, Ghorua, and IK in turn - with one droid in particular providing a power cell of high quality to allow for expeditious and particularly 'refreshing' charging rates. The event was in full swing, with lively music playing across the PA system so as to provide some background entertainment admist the conversation.

Cass had received the invitation from Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz to attend this party, if she was honest she was a little suprised given the mess that had occurred the last time they had met, sneaking into Paranodas Palace was probably an oversight on her part, but screw it, it was fun. She hadn't really got the measure of what Erich thought of her, it seemed he had wriggled out from under the thumbs of the hutts, that was good for him. Waving her personal invitation proudly she waltzed in, she hadn't been sure on the dress code so had gone for a nice simple but elegant number.

She needed to find Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz and thank him for the invitation, and also find out what he wanted. He saw him in a lovely tuxedo in the room. Chatting to someone, oh my god, Cass thought.

She looked at the form of Maestus Maestus , everyone had that one look that killed them, and for Cass it was Lethans, she felt she was part lethan herself, red and black pigmentation, force sensitivity and a love for personal pleasure. Sorry Isidor, she thought to herself, she is on the list. She actually felt a little flushed and grabbed a drink to distract herself when she saw someone she recognised.

Sasmay Cull Sasmay Cull looked lovely as always, she made a beeline for her to see how she was, she hadn't seen her in months. "How are you doing girl?" She asked, kissing her on both cheeks, as was her way. "I am so glad I spotted you, I was about to throw myself at the Lethan over there, you know her?" She laughed with her filthy laugh, and saw an opening with Erich. "I am sorry, I got this personal invitation here, so I had better go and introduce myself to the host, but we will catch up shortly alright?" She was so glad to see a familiar face and needed to get right back.

Walking over to Erich she paused for a moment and admired Darth Maestus. "Good evening Mr. Kreutz, thank you for you invitation, the party is lovely, I am very intrigued what made you think of me after that silliness with the slug." She turned to Maestus and smiled at her "and a very good evening to you, I am Cass Gemini, I dont believe we have met," the lethan woman was no less attractive from the front than the back.

Ghorua noticed Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz as he gave the Shark a tip of his glass from across the room. He returned it with a sharp, easy grin. He'd forgotten how much he'd missed this. The social dance before the meeting. The positioning. The mind games. It felt like seeing an old friend. He would have to introduce himself when Mr. Kreutz was free.

He knew who was hosting the party, despite the anonymous invite. What kind of infochant would he be if he couldn't do a little research?

His attention was pulled away quickly from the man of the hour when he saw Sasmay Cull Sasmay Cull approaching him. Ghorua shifted his weight ever so slightly to his backfoot, and pivoted to face the woman as she approached. He inclined his head towards her in greeting.

"Aren't many like me out there," the Shark rumbled. His voice was disturbingly deep, and silky smooth. He raised his hand to meet hers, holding her entire palm between his thumb and forefinger, shaking gently despite his large size.

Ghorua wondered if she would notice his bare hands felt like metal. He could have refused the handshake. But frankly, he was curious if she could work it out.

He wanted to see the look on her face.

"Ghorua the Shark," he offered in return. "Bounty hunter."

The question posed made Ghorua chuckle a little. "Does anyone ever say one or the other?" Ghorua smiled good-naturedly. "You know the saying. 'If you love what you do'..."

He paused as he saw another woman, Cass Gemini Cass Gemini , approach Sasmay. Ghorua observed their interaction passively, until the droid returned with a cup of steaming liquid. Ghorua grinned from ear to ear, holding the beverage. "Thank you," he said sincerely, although the droid was already gone, serving another partygoer.

The Shark gestured with his tea after the form of Cass as she left, looking to Sasmay. "Friend of yours?"

The Gilded Tower
A cascade of golden silk fell like water down the crinkled green flesh it adorned, the gilded waves flourishing out into oversized sleeves and an Aurelian pool that trailed behind Vex Drenko like an elegant tail. Beneath the golden waves were further silk adornments - an inner robe that accented the outer gold with a deep amber, followed by a high collard shirt that drank in the light with its dark bronze hue. The final piece of the ostentatious garb was a three-pronged crown forged of bronzium and outlined in yet more gold, its three crests set close together in the center of the head. The highest crest was plated with the same bronzium that dominated the rest of the headpiece, but the two peaks that beset it were encased in gleaming silver to give the impression of the emblem he'd chosen to represent his new business endeavor.

Vex sought to dominate the room as he entered, the towering stature of his combined natural and crowned height putting him well over most of the humanoid staff mulling about the club. His posture was rigid and straight, his face set with the glower of regal indifference to the lower life forms existing in his shadow. The Neimoidian surveyed the room slowly as he stepped deeper into Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz 's chosen venue, his wake followed by two refurbished B2 battle droids squeezing through the door - each of their chest's stamped with The Gilded Tower insignia.

At the moment, there really was no Gilded Tower. Its only members were himself and the few Neimoidians of his hive that had not decided to disappear into the annals of history without so much of as a passing of gas to remind the galaxy that they'd existed. However, it was the first rule of business that one always appear stronger than they were. If he dressed like the Merchant Lord of a powerful syndicate, spoke as one and commanded the presence of one...then by all measures he may as well have been one.

He'd always found that explaining vision paled in comparison to displaying it.

Out of those in attendance, there were a few who immediately garnered his mental note. His insectoid gaze briefly met with that of a Herglic ( Ghorua the Shark Ghorua the Shark ) whose height dwarfed his own. The beast looked capable of tearing through the hull of The Core Competence had it the mind to do so. If he were not already under employ, then it may have been worth diving into his history and background. After all, what was a business without those horrifying enough to enforce its policy? Beside him was another capable looking sort ( Sasmay Cull Sasmay Cull ), human if appearances were to be trusted - not nearly as intimidating at first glance, but the way she held herself spoke of efficiency and a familiarity with the harshness of life. Another suitable candidate.

Then his eyes fell on Erich, to him just another patron of this strange meeting...but it did not take a genius to see that he was a man of knowledge. Wisdom recognized wisdom, even when it was flanked on either side by two beings who secreted lust like a Zeltron secrets pheromones ( Maestus Maestus / Cass Gemini Cass Gemini ). Female of their species both and each did not shy away from displaying their respective features...but not as ones who were seeking to directly profit from them or with them. No, the sabers near and hidden at their sides and the powerful way in which they held themselves were not indicative to escorts or cheap company. If he had to guess, they wielded their features like a weapon - just as any other.

Or perhaps he was simply too practical for the likes of aliens.

The Neimoidian kept his gaze on Erich until the man inevitably met it. He didn't say anything or wave him over, he just stared briefly at him as one might stare at an expensive purchase before deciding to actually put the credits down. There was no secret as to why all in this room had been gathered here, it was a business venture and that meant all tricks and games were at play. There was a great advantage in the intrigue of others - in holding the answers to a mystery. His gambit tonight was that his boisterous display of false influence and power would create enough mystery to lure others to him. After all, it was better to be approached than to approach another when it came to business.

When he finally crossed to the other side of the room, Vex chose a booth he liked and strode up to its current occupants. Silently he stared down the Rodian and human there, they stared back, and the fear slowly grew on their faces as the two droids loomed over them. Quickly and quietly, they scooted out from their seats before jumping to their feet, only to be shoved aside with a quick jolt by the droids. As the previous occupants scurried away, Vex collapsed into the booth while his droids posted up on either side - hand embedded weapons pressed into their chests. Once settled, he summoned a server droid with a hand and waited for the game to begin.

IK-0N just sat there, observing, gathering data, and doing droid things.

A local Bounty Hunters Guild had received the invitation on Denon, which wasn't terribly far from Dohblan. The Guild decided they would send a representative to scope out the seriousness of the proposition and determine if they would be a good client to expand to now that GA presence became more prevalent in their more illicit affairs.

But, they didn't want to send anyone who wasn't expendable. Ergo, a droid.

Taking on the appearance of an Echani woman with an invitation titled to Brianna Mahr, This Unit walked in and scoped out the scene. To This Unit's surprise, there was another droid in attendance, openly. Intrigued by this development and determining that an organic appearance was not strictly necessary, she approached IK-0N. As she did so her incredibly convincing humanoid appearance literally melted, hung loose, and pulled back neatly draped around her mechanical frame.

She didn't consider what sort of effect this would have on the other organics in the room observing this, but that was irrelevant.

Chapter 3: Shadows of the Underworld

FINAL DAWN
DOHLBAN , MID RIM

The Second Great Hyperspace War had taken a drastic turn for the Final Dawn in recent months. They had been soundly defeated by the Galactic Alliance at Jedha , Epoch and Adrathorpe while having had to deal with internal issues such as the Drengir Revolt at ool and the Slave Uprising at lol. But now that these issues having been dealt with and the War slowly dying down with the approach of Life Day Marlon Sularen , the Grand Overseer of the Final Dawn sought to expand the Final Dawn's Reach across the Galaxy and Strengthen it's Military. As part of these new efforts both Sularen and his Loyal Subordinate Rackham Rackham had begun to scour the Galaxy in search of new allies and recruits for the Final Dawn to prepare for it's next offensive against the Core Worlds.

Just recently , Sularen had come across
a transmission sent by a certain anonymous backer which had caught his interest. Having responded to the message , Sularen had been given an address to some world in the Mid Rim to meet with this mysterious individual for some sort of "networking event". Seeing a potential opportunity in regards to his upcoming plans , the Grand Overseer quickly hopped on his Personal T-4b Shuttle and headed towards the Mid Rim world of Dohlban , sandwiched between the SJO , CIS and ME , where this "networking event" was to take place. Hopefully this event would be worth his time as the Grand Overseer had a War to manage.

Sularen arrived at the address given to him by the mysterious backer. It was a new club of some sorts known as "Revena". Sularen wasn't a big fan of large social events although the Grand Overseer would still resolve the move on , unwilling to let go of any potential opportunities that may arise from what laid within this club. Perhaps there were some Individuals who could be serve as perfect recruits or allies for the Final Dawn. Thus the Grand Overseer moved forth to enter the Club wearing his Usual Crimson Imperial Uniform marked by his Rank Plaque. Upon entering the Club , the Grand Overseer immediately began navigating around the place he spotted numerous individuals such as Ghorua the Shark Ghorua the Shark , Sasmay Cull Sasmay Cull and Cass Gemini Cass Gemini . But there was one individual who caught the Grand Overseer's Interest the most , Vex Drenko Vex Drenko .

Sularen had heard about this individual , whom the Final Dawn had kept files on having listed him as a potential ally for the Grand Overseer's Planned Operations in the Core Worlds. According to what he knew , Drenko had been exiled from Cato Neimodia following a Failed Coup d'etat as part of a larger conspiracy to reform the Trade Federation which Gat Tambor Gat Tambor had recently accomplished during the early days of the Third Imperial Civil War. A disgraced individual who was denied from his placed in the sun and forced into a life of crime in the form of the Crime Syndicate known as the Gilded Towers. Had he had gotten his way , perhaps Vex Drengo's Trade Federation could have risen to prominence and become a major player the Market just like Gat Tambor's Trade Federation.

Sularen soon approached the Trade Baron moving forth to introduce himself to the Neimodian. "Vex Drenko is it? You got a moment?" the Grand Overseer said with a friendly smile.

"That's true. Plenty of little things like me strolling through in different colors." Sasmay chuckled to herself, the feel of the offered hand drawing attention while she smiled. The ease of care, manipulation, and skin was strange, but she kept herself collected for the moment. Taking a sip as she listened to his introduction.

"Oooh, bounty hunter. Two of the rarer things for me to stumble across in a big verse like this one. Have met nearly that many as I've met friendly jedi. Though not many have the good fortune of business and pleasure mixing usually. A shame really." She cackled before her attention shifted to Cass drawing near.

She returned the kisses, smiling warmly as she held her drink out to the side.

"Have to make a run to get some more liquor on the ship, been on a bender for a cycle now. Crew haven't complained yet since we all have been scrapping and running repairs on the outer worlds. Spending it as quick as we get it." She gave a hearty laugh, eye sliding over to the the Lethan. "I don't but it would be fun to. Share what you find, huh? And I'll be here, go on."

She waved Cass on before Ghorua commented, getting a smug expression in return.

"Oh definitely." She wanted to say more, but wasn't entirely sure her company was equipped for the humor. Instead she switched gears giving a nod to his arms. "Either you've got some steel in those limbs, or you're a serious threat in a fight with that skin. My moneys on serious threat."

Another entered the room, scanning through the faces as one was want to do, lingering over the most noticeable faces it seemed. If it wasn't for the eccentric robe she might have brushed it off as a sleezy low life trying to avoid trouble. This one seemed interested in stirring it up with the pair of droids that trailed behind.

Another entered, an Echani woman that strolled up to the droid in the assembly before making a show of throwing aside what had been an entirely convincing façade of organic nature. It wasn't quite a frown that adorned her face at the sight, but it certainly made her rethink all of the strange interactions she had been a part of through her life seeing that bit of show and tell.

"You ever seen a droid like that?" She shot the question to her conversational companion, a bit wide eyed at the display still while taking a sip of whiskey.

The bouncers, who certainly were just as criminal and ruthless as every other soul invited to this meeting, did their work flawlessly when they stopped her at the enterance. Normally, none but Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla had the exclusive permission to lay hands on the rutian twi'leks toned body. For those who didn't, Tan'yill always made it undeniably clear, merely by locking gazes with them with her callous green-yellowish eyes, that they were a blink of an eye away from getting their noses imprinted into their skulls if they happened to slip onto the wrong spot.

Tonight though, she meant to make things easy for the crew frisking people at the door. She held the black leather coat out for the the man before her, revealing the otherwise form-fitting attire, a favorite of hers, for eager eyes. Knee-high black boots with a bit of a heel to them, form-fitting trousers and a corset-like top made out of treated rancor hide, with a thin see-through fabric up to her neck and continuing sleeves. Her rylothian headpiece adorned her head. It was hard enough to make eyecontact with the man, but when he finally looked up he met with her cold and hard gaze that simply wondered if the man had seen enough to make sure she was not armed. Somewhat troubled, the man signed for her to turn around. She was above causing trouble just because a bouncer made his job, especially one that would sattle with a look at her to do so. So she did as instructed to and pulled the coat out of the way, revealing the back of her waist, for just long enough to show him that she hadn't any concealed blasters or daggers in the back. Her heat wasn't necessary in such tools either, even if vibroknives could be a very enjoyable one to use.

''Tired of barely scratching a living while providing your talents to those who hardly care about you or what you're about? Looking for someone who appreciates talent?'' So the message had begun. Tan'yill was not here for because of that first part. She knew to whom her heart belonged and thus where her home and so to speak base of operations was. Instead, it was a simple question curiosity and of what she considered could be quick and easy credits for their family and the House of Vizsla. Their stay on Roon had been prolonged and developed into one of more pleasure than business. Not that Tan could complain with such a lovely woman as Aloy and their daughter Tae'l Vizsla Tae'l Vizsla by her side. Long and... cozy mornings was not something she had been spoiled with in her life before Aloy, and training Tayl to where she were now was another call for the mandalorian twi'lek that now entered the building on confident steps and with a raised gaze.

A couple of guests stood out from the crowd while Tan strolled over to the bar. The first ones her eyes fell upon was a tall man in an imperial uniform of high rank ( Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen ), in conversation with a neimoidian who looked to be some sort of businessman ( Vex Drenko Vex Drenko ) accompanied by two B2 battledroids. Impressive. Impressive that they had been able to keep that model going for so long. Her days as a mechanic in Coronet were long gone, but Tan still recognised tech, starships and droids when she saw them. The men were two characters she didn't expect at a meeting like this, but of course there were scums in every large regime that conducted their dirty business off record. To her, authorities were best kept at a beskad's distance, and if they didn't respect that the beskad had a very sharp tip.

The next two persons she saw was a man in a stately white tuxedo ( Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz ), looking as fine and refined as he could be cruel and devious. He in turn was engaged in conversation with one of her own compatriots ( Maestus Maestus ). A lethan, who recieved a slightly closer look because of the extreme rarity to come across one, and less so one without a slave collar around their neck. She gave them both a shallow but sincere nod of respect, sparing her red kindred a second glance.

Before she arrived at the bar, the back of a hulking herglic ( Ghorua the Shark Ghorua the Shark ) that towered above them all caught her eye. The woman ( Sasmay Cull Sasmay Cull ) beside him was dwarfed by his sheer size. Another rare sight in the galaxy, and a force to be reckoned with if things went south in a fight, providing you had the big alien on your side. When she thought about it, Tan had only met one before. Twice, actually. During her messy years back on Corellia. She had both been caught, and sat free by the same strange herglic. She could not remember him being that big though, but let the thoughts of past times go as she took an empty seat by the bar. A bartender droid greeted her and prepared to take her order.

''Shesh on the rocks.'' Translating to a straight shesharilian vodka poured over a pair of large ice cubes, or preferably one large ice block. The droid placed a shortglass in front of her, and before long a large ice block was dropped in it and the chrystal clear, high octane booze was poured up to near half of the glass. Tan raised it from the counter and studied the content with an ever so slight smile upon her lavender lips, before she took a sniff and a sip out of it. Oh, yeah. The nights first drink approved.

IK-0N took account of all present individuals, his big red photoreceptor scanning their biometrics and filing them away in a data storage folder labeled: future use.

Another droid approached him with a power cell on a platter. IK-0N analyzed the droid.

“What is your primary function?”

“To serve,” replied the protocol droid.

IK-0N picked up the power cell, his processors analyzing the response of the droid. He predicted that the answer would require further analytics and devoted a subroutine to it.

Suddenly, an android approached, synthetic skin sloughing away to reveal the circuits and wires beneath. She spoke to him.

“What?”

A processor crashed. IK-0N rebooted.

“You are meant to deceive organics. Statements of affection distract them. I am not an organic. I was meant to kill them. Do you intend to deceive me?”

Sasmay Cull Sasmay Cull didn't immediately comment on the feeling of his hands, and with no immediate reaction, Ghorua briefly wondered if she hadn't noticed at all.

The Shark kept his tea in his hands, letting the steam from the hot beverage curl up and around his impressive frame as he listened to the woman speak. He had always found Jedi to be likable folk, if a little uptight. But he kept his mouth shut on that particular topic; he doubted his sympathetic views toward the Order would be well-received with this band of criminals and cutthroats.

After her ally left, she finally commented on his iron grip. He grinned slyly at her, and held up his hand. With a silent command, the hologram over his palm shifted with blue light, revealing for a brief moment the black beskar-plated gauntlet underneath, before warping and returning to the dark, slick hand it was before. "Serious threat," he agreed, acting as if he was letting this new acquaintance in on a grand joke. "Although, if you want to spread the rumor that I have steel skin, I wouldn't be opposed. Might be fun."

When he eventually spoke to Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz , he wanted to make a good first impression. Perhaps inject a bit of showmanship to make in memorable.

Ghorua saw the display of Athena D-13 Athena D-13 quite literally shedding her skin, and his mind began racing. He recognized the model, alright. "Jaeger Solutions," Ghorua said, under his breath, calculated eyes taking in every detail he could. "They make some of the best gear for us hunters on the market. That's an assassin droid. Comes out of the factory with a phrik skeleton, adaptive flesh, and life-sign replicators that could fool a full-body medical scan." He wasn't a member of any Guild currently, but he knew to keep tabs on them. The D-13 was a nasty piece of hardware, if the holotapes were to be believed.

Then, across the room, Ghorua spotted someone he vaguely recognized. Tan'yill Vizsla Tan'yill Vizsla was sitting at the bar, getting a drink. The Shark didn't often forget faces, especially from his formative years on the job. Something about her looked familiar. Something about... CorSec?

Oh, Force.

Ghorua pulled his attention back to the person directly in front of him, glad he had yet to take a drink. He may have done a spit take. "So, what do you do, Sasmay?"

Following Manufacturer's Protocols
"This Unit intends to demonstrate what manufacturing protocols gave This Unit. You appear to be a compatible model for aggressive cooperative engagement. Does This Unit's chassis satisfy these assessment requirements?"

The assassin Droid jury-rigged with loyalty circuits for the Bounty Hunters Guild attempted to take a companion seat beside IK-0N and observed the infrared responses from the organics in the room. Her audio sensors picked up on some of the chatter and determined an impression was made, as was directed of her by the guild.

"This Unit is curious of your evaluation of present biological assets' future profitability."

Turranis was fashionably late maybe a little bit more figuring most where getting a feel for eachother first he had seen it a literal thousand times before with thousands of different faces. Almost none he remembered anymore unfortunately or maybe fortunately over his long life as he walked into the cantina the ancient pureblood looked around this club had become popular in underworld circles rather quickly.

Getting a general feel for the lay out from a thousand lifetimes worth of experience plus clubs he had run in the past. He walked down into the basement level the scar over his right eye being prevalent on his face he didn't wear armor or have weapons on him he didn't need it. Looking everyone over he recognized a few Vex Drenko Vex Drenko as a leader of the gilded towers he had heard of the group and there leader and of course he knew of maestus but didn't want to tip his hat of being a sith lord so he hid his force signature using force stealth. He navigated the room sitting down in a chair noticing the two droids one was for assassination he'd have to keep an eye on them if things whent south.

The Gilded Tower

The floral tang of the blossom wine was not nearly as sweet as the irony - which was not lost on Vex at all. Distilled using a vibrant array of flower pedals, blossom wine was one of the primer spirits exported from Naboo. Nearly a millennium ago, the Neimoidian dominated Trade Federation blocked and laid siege to the lush planet and its cabal of naive lifeforms. He couldn't help but wonder if Nute Gunnray had sipped on this very same wine before Naboo's juvenile queen disgraced him and The Federation forever.

Vex smiled into another sip and rolled the sweet concoction from cheek to cheek before swallowing with a chuckle.
A toast to us disgraced visionaries, Viceroy.

Before another sip could be taken, Vex noticed a dark sinned human in a beacon red suit eyeing him from across the club. He shared the glance and searched the man for signs of who or what he may have been. It didn't take long for him to notice the rank plaque weighing down his chest. Imperials Vex scoffed, almost out loud.

Imperials were stupendously terrible for business - as far as his experience and knowledge went, anyway. They were always quick to threats and nationalization, as was the fate of the Trade Federation following the Clone Wars. So low was Vex's opinion of imperial business intuition that he barely paid their profiles any mind unless something spectacular caught his attention. As far as he was concerned, Imperials were good for corrupting and bribing but not much else.

That wouldn't stop him from hearing this man out, however. Even if he spat on the idea of an Imperial businessman, if such a thing could even exist, it would be foolish to not at least hear the proposition or ideas floating in the man's head. At minimum, it would give him and his fledgling organization an idea of where they might stand in Imperial circles.

The B2's stepped forward, placing their oversized bodies directly between Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen and their organic liege. The Imperial failed to introduce himself, but he immediately set the field to his advantage. He knew exactly who Vex was.

The Neimoidian paused only briefly, making it a point to finish a gulp of his wine before leaning back into his robes and addressing Marlon in a heavy Pak Pak accent, "
That all depends on who it is that wants my precious time"

The blossom wine danced in Vex's glass as he twirled in small circles, his bulbous eyes scanning Marlon as he spoke, "I am not accustomed to the area of Imperial business - or in sharing my wine with a man whose name I do not know."

Master of the Hyperspace Seas

When the invitation reached the crime lord’s hands, he was more than pleased to be able to attend such event.

The entire situation at Ponemah Terminal had took a significant hit in his business. All of those freed slaves were just more credits that escaped his grasp. Not only was the man losing profit, but he was giving these people something: hope. Hope was not a feeling that he liked to convey to people, especially slaves.

Striding into the building the man took in his surroundings. Immediately he recognized the faces of some Kraken members. No surprise that they were here. More business for them as well.

Another face he recognized was the female Sith’s. The man had seen her before while doing deals with other Maw members. It was interesting to see her here though.

The droids and the other aliens were all new to him. More than likely they were all here for the same reason, and that was go get rich in not-so-legal ways.

And from his previous deals with Mr. Kreutz, this was the perfect place to do this.

"The pleasure is indeed mine, I assure you Ms. Gemini." Erich made it a point to master the art of lying straight through his teeth. It was a skill of his to be sure, for one never went far in this galaxy by telling the truth. The very thought gave him pause, but it did not show on his face as his eyes seemingly adopted the same smile plastered on his lips. It was true, to be fair; this Cass Gemini did indeed fall flat on her face in making a good first impression at the feast hosted by a certain Paranoda the Hutt. Again, in the interests of fairness - her idea wasn't exactly a bad one, in fact it had served as his inspiration for the oh so juicy bit of news he had for all of his guests. And he had done some digging after the ill-fated greeting - she had forged quite a reputation for herself despite the errant first impression.

Her ability to execute complicated racketeering hustles may have left much to be desired, but those with the wherewithal to do it, along with the resources to cut out a certain slice of the galaxy for their own would make worthwhile contacts to maintain for sure. Erich was content enough to enjoy the company of these two beautiful women, yet he could not help himself with regard to noting the arrival of several more noteworthy guests.

A Neimoidian? Flanked by antique B-2 battledroids no less? Now that was a sight you didn't see very often. As Erich listened to the two women converse, his eyebrow arched at the peculiarity that was Vex Drenko - careful not to appear disinterested in what the women were saying. They were still his guests after all, and demanded a certain level of respect regardless. He redirected his eyes back to the two of them, nodding along with the conversation as it carried on. Internally however, his mind set about pondering the implications of the Neimoidian's presence here. He carried himself with an air of authority and priviliege, but that was not uncommon among his people (the few who in fact remained).

Erich would have to make it a point to approach the seeming nobleman himself so a to gain the full measure of him. The thought was soon interrupted by the next sight to be unraveled before him.

"Your chassis configuration transcribes my binary observation data from 0 to 1."

Melting Woman Observed By: Erich Kreutz Erich Kreutz Ghorua the Shark Ghorua the Shark Maestus Maestus Sasmay Cull Sasmay Cull Cass Gemini Cass Gemini Vex Drenko Vex Drenko

"Oh my." were the only words that escaped his lips when the Echani woman who had graced the lounge with her presence had suddenly melted away into the form of a very deadly looking droid. It would take a lot more than that to visibly rattle the man, but he was also not careless as a rule. He pulled his glass up to his lips and casually swayed to the side, making eye contact with one of his guards in the corner. He flicked his eyes to the droids, and the guard very slightly nodded at the indication. His men were well enough trained to not react heedless of the ramifications of a situation, and Erich's intention was clear; 'keep an eye on them.'

Outside of a surprise stream of blaster shots, there was little to fear in all honesty. Aside from his guards, which provided a visible means of protection and ease to placate those of higher station at this event, Revena was built with a state of the art security system as well. The ceiling of each level contained scores of turrets recessed into the ceiling, only to be revealed upon the pressing of a panic button built into the folds of Erich's sleeves, with additional switches installed at several desks and stations throughout the facility. At the press of a button, anything short of a full scale incursion from an NIO storm regiment could be repelled with the level of firepower outfitted within this club. Even then, that regiment would still have a bear of a time.

In short, Erich wasn't overly worried over the sudden emergence of an assassin droid in his midst, but he would remain alert despite his laissez-faire demeanor. As if this guest wasn't enough, yet another unexpected figure entered the party.

Marlon Sularen. One only had to read the tabloids to know who that man was, and in truth Erich only knew him by reputation from both his own days in another secret life within Imperial Intelligence, and in just not living under a rock. Publically, Marlon was a very highly regarded military commander from Corellia, who had served within several regimes. Erich was a bit fuzzy of where the man's loyalties lay now, but he was certain that a formidable man of his countenance was not here without a purpose in mind indeed. He would make a very intriguing ally to be sure, if for no other reason than building onto his own reputation.

Erich would have to be careful exactly how he cultivated that relationship of course. Men like Marlon Sularen knew who they were and what their influence meant. Approach them like a dog looking for a meal, and you're more likely to get kicked in the gut instead of receiving a bowl. Plus, it seemed as though the Imperial saw fit to engage with the Neimoidian, which would likely be an intriguing interaction in its own right. Erich would have to observe that exchange, for he sensed it would tell him much about what both of those two men were here for outside of simply accepting a dinner invitation.

Lastly, Erich attention was grabbed by a very familiar, and most welcome face.

The droids and the other aliens were all new to him. More than likely they were all here for the same reason, and that was go get rich in not-so-legal ways.

And from his previous deals with Mr. Kreutz, this was the perfect place to do this.

"Pyrrah, my friend!" Erich's normally jovial voice appeared a touch more genuine, his slight accent adding to the mirth within his tone as he stretched his arms out in greeting, inviting the crime lord to come over to the small group formed between Maestus Maestus & Cass Gemini Cass Gemini . Presuming his friend decided to join them, Erich would extend him a firm handshake and pull him into a light embrace before releasing him and continuing on: "It has been some time since we last saw each other. I trust you are well?"

Something told him things weren't exactly well. Erich couldn't place his finger quite on it, and out of respect for his friend, he intentionally did not dig too deeply within Pyrrah's business interests. Instead, regardless of positive or negative news to tell, Erich felt it best to keep the mood jovial and relaxing. It was only after the initial greeting that realization flashed across Erich's rather animated face: "Oh, where are my manners?! May I present madame' Maestus, and my associate Ms. Cass Gemini." After making the introduction, his face returned to a normal 'friendly' expression rather than the overt smile he had already made ready use of so much this evening.

At that, he scanned the room one final time before focusing his attention back to the small group assembled around him. Many of those he had invited had shown up, and he felt the time fast approaching to make the announcement he had invited them all to witness. But he'd wait a little longer so as to allow them all to make themselves comfortable and mingle. The night was still young.
