Character:
Marshall is a hardheaded, street-smart and easily angered individual, who likes to cause trouble and have a good fight. He was raised in a bad household, with his father gone and his mother abusive mother who tends to use drugs, Marshall was a rebellious and an angry person ever since he was young. Since he wasn't close to his family, he prefers and enjoy the company of his friends and fellow peers. When he was working for Valentin, he was close to everyone within the organisation, as he was not only good to them and because of his boxing. He had gotten into fight with a lot of people, even if they're bigger than him. Even against the odds, he'll continue to fight till his last breath, as he hates losing more than dying. He enjoy fighting with his bare hands, as not only is he good at it, but it gives him a lot of thrill and excitement. This made him to dislikes losing and always aim to become better than everyone, so when he was ordered to throw the fight, he was having none of it. Whilst he not fighting or doing dirty work for Valentin, he enjoy piloting ships, which he done a lot helping Valentin men transporting cargos. He became efficient with piloting when he started smuggling, flying with an unorthodox style that some may call it suicidal and dangerous.
BIOGRAPHY:
Marshall was born and raised in Kijimi, a frigid mountainous planet located in the Bryx sector of the galaxy's Mid Rim, as he spends most of his teenage years there. Marshall never knew his father, Marshall Hope Jr., who abandoned the family when he was still an infant and rebuffed all of his son's many attempts to contact him during his childhood. As a result, Marshall was raised by his mother, Deborah Mathers. He has been scathingly critical of the way his mother raised him. With his mother was addicted to prescription drugs as well as subjecting him to emotional and physical abuse. Marshall's mother never managed to hold down a job for more than several months at a time. He spends most of his childhood away from home, going out exploring, and occasionally get into fight with other children. Later on, as he grows older, he became more rebellious towards his mother as tension raised and their relationship falter, which made him leave from his home. He needed credits so he can get out of the planet, so he decided to participate in an illegal fight, where every kind of scum sucker is there fight to win some credits. His first fight was against a Zabrak, which he was able to knock him out easily. After he dodge his jab and went in with a huge hook, hitting him from below, and making him fall down. The rest of his fights went on smoothly, as he won quite a sum of money from it, until he met a huge Trandoshan on the final. He was twice his size, bigger built and much more ferocious. First few round had Shady on the ropes, as every jabs the Trandoshan does was hard and precise, he was almost counted out in the 4th round after a mean side jab that connected. Shady kept on taking the blows, as it wasn't an easy task to dodge him, he continue to looks for an opening. He then saw the Trandoshan becoming more sluggish and his hits were getting softer, that when Shady realized his opponent was getting tired. He knew it was time to get on the offensive, he dodges the next attack and started to attack his mid section, making him more tired. Shady finally able to beat him after a flurry of jabs to his head and a knock out left hook that made the Trandoshan passed out. He won the underground brawl, and received a huge sum of credit from the organizer. After the fight, he was approached by a an individual who offered him to be work for him as a boxer, he said he'll get Shady in a professional boxing match. The man is called Valentin, a man who runs a Casino at Coruscant, but he's also a Mob Boss who runs the Svyaz, an arms dealer. Shady was not only given an offer to have the opportunity to fight in a pro circuit, but also become his Enforcer, who'll be beside Valentin to protect him. Shady accepted the offer, he was excited at the thought of fighting with more experienced fighter from all over the galaxy.
Years later, as promised Shady was sponsored by Valentin to fight in pro circuit, he had won the Light Heavyweight Division and defended his title for 5 years. Whilst he's not boxing, he's either gambling in Valentin Casino or working as his enforcer, where he does a lot of illegal work for him. He became a Vor or made man after years of loyal service to Valentin as he brought profits to him from Boxing and Mob work. One day Shady brought into Valentin office days before his title match, Valentin ask him to take a fall in his next fight, to which surprises Shady. He ask Valentin why he wants him to lose the match, as Valentin then explained he made a deal with another Mob, where they agreed on some sort of deal, which Shady has to lose his title in exchange for the deal to be met. Shady tried to refused and begged Valentin not let make him do this, as he takes pride of what he has accomplished in boxing. Valentin stand his ground and threaten Shady if he doesn't comply to take a fall in the tittle match, as he then continue to add to his point that he can get his tittle back in another match. Shady reluctantly agreed to Valentin orders, as a few days later the tittle match arrives and Shady is still in frustrated at the thought he had to throw the match. He never gave up in anything, he always proceed to fight on until he can't continue on. During the match, Shady took the beating as ordered, as he knows he can't go against Valentin, he took the beating and sell the punches for 2 rounds. Until the 3rd round as his frustration and anger continue to build, he opponent begin to taunt him, as he mock Shady for being a weak and question his wins before, it angers Shady a lot hearing it. His opponent continue to taunt him, until Shady snap and suddenly gave him a left hook, knocking him out. Once Shad came to, he was his opponent on the ground and the ref was at the 8th count, he could only stare at his opponent hoping he'll stand up as he took a quick glance at Valentin. The ref finally counted to ten as Shady opponent didn't stoop back up, declaring Shady still the Light Heavyweight Champion. He glance again at Valentin, as Shady saw he wasn't happy, which he whispered to one of his men, as the men started to hurry outside, Shady knew it wasn't good news. One the ref gave Shady his belt, he ran towards the back exit so he could escape, he was there was 2 people guarding the backdoor, he walks towards them hoping they haven't told to capture him. The two men only congratulate him and ask him where he's going, as Shady told them he's going to take a breather after the win, which they then obliged. Shady was lucky those two men hadn't got the order, as he then run towards the streets looking for a cab he can get in. Suddenly a bunch of men started chasing Shady as they tried to shot him, fortunately they missed. Shady then started running as fast as he could and decided to hijacked a speeder that was parking, as he threw the driver out and drive away from the area. He was able to get away from the area, as he hurried to his place to get his belongings and start to head out to the spaceport so he can escape Coruscant. He was able to escape from Coruscant, after paying a smuggler to help and take him to somewhere safe, he knows he has to lay low and find someplace he'll be safe.
He landed in in Hosnian Prime, he finally arrived after a few days, because they had to make a detour first, as the Smuggler name Xana had to dropped a few delivery at other planets. Shady thanked her, and ask her for a place where he can rest and possibly get work. Xana told him, he can find someplace to rest downtown, and then she suggested Shady to work with her delivering goods. She explained that she knows who he is, as he watched a few of his fight even the one a day before. Shady accepted the offer, as he doesn't know what else he can do, as she then explained he'll be helping with dealing thugs and other nuisances during their work. Shady worked with Xana for 4 years, they had a great partnership, as he continue to work as the muscle and occasional CO-Pilot for her. But things started to crumble, as Valentin men started to chase after Shady once they know where and what he's doing. Shady and Xana started to get attacked frequently when they're on the job which sometimes cost them their job. Shady then told Xana he's going to go on his separate way, as he knows Valentin will never stop and continue to go after him, so its not safe for her to work with him. Shady then dropped back at Hosnian Prime, where he'll try to find other work there, as he started to do Smuggling work solo. He was able to win a ship from gambling after he beat some rich guy who bet his ship due to overconfdence. With Shady now owning a ship, he can start his Smuggling business so he can rake in some profits, whilst still fighting in illegal fight to get the thrill he always love.
