Shai Maji was born in space to a pirate for a father, and a gunrunner for a mother. But despite the questionable figures in her life, they did their best to give her the best upbringing they could. From stealing school books, to teaching her valuable life lessons, her parents and their crews did everything in their power to make sure she would have a better life than them. But it wasn’t to last. At 20 years old, her father died in a tragic accident involving a drunk hyperspace jump and a bet. Only two years later, her mother was arrested by the Galactic Alliance, leaving her alone after the crews left to join others.
For years she kept the family business going as a smuggler, but after one fateful cage fight she was extended the chance to become a Mandalorian. It was an arduous journey, but she built herself up to be a capable warrior and a great engineer. The path took its toll on the ‘Wardog’ as her allies and enemies came to know her, including the loss of most of her body on Coruscant after an attack by the Brotherhood of the Maw, but she continued to stand up and do right by her new family. From reviving a fractured clan, to building up her own company with the help of her released mother, Shai continued to fight and lose a bit of herself to help her people.
Her reputation and sins finally caught up with her when the Maw captured and tortured her, turning her against the people she once held dear. It was only after a bloody path and a great battle on Tython that she was captured and fixed, with the help of those closest to her. Her body was restored by her husband, an ancient Sangnir warrior, and her mind repaired by a powerful Shaman in the Enclave.
With a second chance granted to her, she picked herself up once more to right all the wrongs she wrought, towards her people, and towards her family. Despite being excommunicated from the clan she helped to build, and hated by all around her, the Wardog kept marching with her head held high.
But when her world was torn in two by a new war between her Mandalorian family and close friends in the Jedi Order, Shai kept fighting to try and stop the inevitable war to no avail. When war broke out, she chose a side and finally met her end at the hands of her sister. An end that suited her and a death she was happy with. Her only regret was not being there any longer for those closest to her. -

A warm and innocent soul corrupted by years of suffering. Shai is generally an energetic, determined and boisterous woman always looking for a good time, especially with those she cares for most in the galaxy. With a love for food and hot chocolate, she is always looking at the bright side of things. But her spirit has been tested time and time again, stretching the limits of the optimist within her.
Haunted by her failures, actions, and horrors she lived through, even before she became a Mandalorian, Her patience has grown thin over the years, and her life as a ruthless warrior has proclaimed what awaits someone after that fuse runs out. Cunning, unrelenting, and bordering on feral in a fight, Shai doesn’t hold back on anyone who crosses her. Though the years took it's toll on her, leaving her with haunting nightmares, severe hydrophobia, and a deep-seated fear of abandonment.
But even after losing her body, her clan, and tortured by the Maw, the Wardog holds her head high and keeps on going, with a bright grin and a hearty laugh to let the Galaxy know that she will not break. No matter what gets thrown at her, nobody can keep her down or control her. -

PROS:
- Sangnir: After being turned into a Sangnir, Shai’s speed and strength have been inhumanely enhanced, as well as a healing factor to help her survive.
- Mandalorian: With decades of experience, Shai is a ruthless and skilled warrior, as well as a deadly shot with a blaster.
- Pilot: Having spent a good portion of her life on ships, Shai is a very good pilot.
- Shistavanen: Aside from her turning, Shai’s species have very sharp senses and traits that make them incredibly good trackers and survivalists.
CONS:- Haunted: Despite her mind being repaired, memories of her past still haunt her relentlessly.
- Temper: Shai can get annoyed very quickly if someone pushes her too hard.
- Blood: In order to stay alive and prevent herself from going feral, Shai needs to drink the blood of sentient lifeforms.
- Mortal: While she is ageless and her body can heal at a ludicrous rate, her head still remains a vulnerable location that can end her for good…
