The Story So Far
For millennia, the agricultural world of Dantooine has been a major target for various groups. Its vast, fertile lands made it an important world when it came to the production of foodstuffs and agricultural products. Nearly every major power in the Galaxy had its boots on Dantooine. The Republic, Palpatine’s Empire, and so many more. When tyranny has come to this usually quiet world, its people have the spirit of rebellion in their hearts.
This was no different for Shal Kharrd, an Abednedo whose family immigrated to Dantooine from Hosnian Prime. Like many of the world, the Kharrd family turned to raising livestock and a seasonal rotation of crops. It was a simple life, but it was no less a happy one that Shal grew fond of. Yet, this happiness was brief. He was barely out of his adolescence when a new face of tyranny came to his world: the revitalized Sith Empire under the throne of Emperor Carnifex.
For decades, he saw the once free people of Dantooine come under the lash of the Sith. He saw the once shining Jedi enclave desecrated as the Sith erected abhorrent, ziggurat-like temples of the Dark Side. Once more, the spirit of rebellion swelled in the hearts of the people. Shal himself joined up with a rebel cell operating in his village’s quadrant of their world. The young Abednedo proved a quick learner to being a guerilla soldier against the Sith legions.
Yet, the Sith Empire fractured and buckled under itself. Soon, Dantooine was liberated by the soldiers of the newly formed New Imperial Order. While initially skeptical of a government wearing the trappings of the archaic Galactic Empire, he was soon surprised by their openness towards aliens.
It is here where Shal’s story now resides. After years of training under the NIO, he has risen to the rank of Corporal in the Imperial Army’s Stormtrooper Corps. He has specifically used his knowledge of heavy firepower to specialize as an artillery trooper, barraging his enemies with ordinance and heavy blaster-fire. He sees a hopeful future under the New Order, to bring peace where the Sith brought chaos and debauchery.

MILITARY TRAINING
Starting from his years as an anti-Sith Empire rebel in Dantooine, Shal has gained much military experience. Under the New Imperial Order, he had learned the different ways of combat that is part of Stormtrooper training. His kindly look betrays his skills as an effective soldier.
ARTILLERY SPECIALIST
In addition to the skills learned by all stormtroopers, Shal has since become a specialized type of trooper. As an Artillery Trooper, Shal has extensive knowledge of heavy weapons and explosive mortars as measures against the enemy.

SITH HATER
Because of the Sith Empire's desecration of his homeworld, Shal has a burning hatred for anything Sith related. So much so, he would gladly shoot anything resembling a Sith on site.
FELIST
As an alien in the New Imperial Order, Shal strongly supports the Felist ideological faction. He is very wary of any fellow Imperials who start showing behavior similar to their predecessor's "High Human Culture" doctrine. He will gladly give grievance, either in writing or by physical force, to anyone who acts xenophobic. He did not cast off one tyrant to be servant to another.
