GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Shambling Vines
  • Origins: Created by A'Mia in the Kor'ethyr Academy greenhouses with the use of Sith alchemy and various rare plant materials.
  • Other Locations: These botanical creatures are created and controlled by A'Mia. If separated from her, it is possible that they might be able to take root in a wild biome. However they require ample full spectrum light and even more plentiful biomass (food) with which to sustain themselves. It is not likely that they could go unnoticed anywhere for long save for within the care of a practiced gardener or beast master.
  • Classification: Botanical semi-sentient Sithspawn
  • Average Growth Cycle: These shambling vines take approximately one week to grow to the size of a medium sized humanoid, two weeks for large sized, and so on. In order to grow like this however they require continual attention from their creator and a steady supply of both biomass and dark side energy.
  • Viability: The shambling sithspawn require at least a few hours of full spectrum light each standard day, can survive with little to no water for several weeks at a time, and do not require soil to live or even to thrive. They do however require biomass in order to survive and grow. Plant matter alone can suffice but these creatures much prefer blood and bone to feed upon. They are content to scavenge for such material but excel as ambush predators. Shambling vines consume biomass by engulfing it and breaking it down to repurpose matter into there own bodies.
  • Description: When not in motion, these creatures can appear almost like they are merely large brambles or a heap of vines. However, when in motion the horror of them becomes clear. Some ambulate as bipeds, others are quadrupedal or even multi-limbed, but all of them move with with alarming, jerking speed which is belied by their bulk. They are also capable of squeezing into very tight spaces.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Average Height: from 1 to 3 meters tall (can be made smaller + maximum size is 4 meters)
  • Average Length: Much like their maker, these sithspawn can extend their many limbs to give them an alarming reach of several meters.
  • Color: Much like their maker, they have some ability to camouflage themselves to better match the flora of whatever environment they inhabit.
  • Nutritional Value: Eating part of these would be like eating rancid carrion.
  • Toxicity: See above, this plant is more likely to successfully eat you! Consumption of this plant could lead to symptoms of severe food poisoning or worse.
  • Other Effects: A'Mia can used their unique physiology to hold other botanicals for her. When these sithspawn horrors aren't accompanying her on the field of battle, she will sometimes use their bodies to graft living plants to so she can transport them more easily.
  • Distinctions: In the creation of these creatures, A'Mia favored function over form. So unless they are being used as mules for rare botanicals, they sport no blooms. The most notable variations in their form are the number of vine-like limbs they have. The larger they are, the more likely they are to have numerous limbs and methods of ambulation.

Strengths:
  • The Might of Nature - when organized into a group and directed by their master, these creatures can form obstacles, barriers, and other such structures from their own bodies. With their frightening, shambling speed they can also hunt, chase, and ambush very effectively. These creatures are fearfully strong.
  • Not a Fire Hazard - much like their creator, these creatures are extremely resistant to fire. In fact, their bulk and toughness make them exceedingly resilient against elemental attacks of all kinds.
  • Impressive Regeneration - with access to an abundant food source or a Dark Side Nexus, they can regenerate their bodies. However, this does require at least one standard day of rest and feeding on their part.
Weaknesses:
  • Its What Plants Crave - When not being directed or controlled by and with no standing order from A'Mia herself, these creatures will seek to meet their basic needs in the most direct way possible. Acquire biomass and absorb light. They are therefore dangerous and unpredictable when separated from their master.
  • All That Light but Not So Bright - Though they are semi-sentient, these sithspawn are not known for their intelligence. They are incapable of complex tasks, they lack any kind of guile other than their ability to blend in to their environment and they do not understand language. Shambling vines respond only to psychic commands from their master or, when acting without guidance by their master, might succumb to intimidation tactics the likes of which might work on very dangerous beasts. They can also be tricked and when A'Mia controls them she must see the world through their eyes.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Created through weeks of careful experimentation in the greenhouses of Kor-ethyr Academy, A'Mia made use of the vast resources at her disposal because of her position as both Sith Shadow and Lord Seer of Korriban. Her studies in sith alchemy bore great fruit in the perfecting of these botanical creatures. She is now rarely seen without them and if they are not within sight it begs the question: where are her minions hiding?
