Sharing a little bit of good will with the people.

Viktor walked among the people in one of the major cities on Dosuun the capital of the First Order and it's seat of power. Seeing as how he had been assigned to the Capital he thought it only appropriate that he see and hear what the citizens of the First Order thought and wanted from their government.

Today he was visiting a wealthy merchant and his family. Having gotten his start as a businessman Viktor knew that keeping the people with the money was always a good first start. He wore a nice suit pressed with not a single crease or thread out of place. Walking up to the door he rang the doorbell. His assistant was standing just behind him.

He would spend an hour or two here before moving on to the next person on the list. Viktor intended to get through 4 or 5 people today before heading back home and starting again the next day. While he waited for somebody to come to the door Viktor ran a hand down his tie.

Jia sighed as folded some more clothing into piles to be put away in the Master bedroom. She disliked chores like laundry because it just made her tired, and her arms actually got quite tired from all the folding. She mentally checked off the list of things she had to do in her mind as she folded some more towels. Usually she was able to retire for the day around 6pm, after dinner, and the rest of the cleaning was done. There were sometimes the family would call on her past 6pm, but rarely did it happen.

Jia licked her lips and looked to the side seeing the family's son who was around her age glaring at her as he left out of the house. He didn't like her because he made a pass at her, and as her employees' son, she of course turned him down, which he didn't like. She then went and folded one more towel and suddenly the doorbell rang and she grumbled to herself. Rushing towards the door she went and opened it up slowly and brushed any dust off herself, she wanted to look presentable. Jia lifted her eyes and flashed a small smile and spoke. "May I help you?"

When the door opened Viktor smiled to [member="Jia Zhu"] giving her a quick once over.

"Good morning I am Viktor Alexander a Commissioner with the First Order government." "I would like a moment of your time if you don't mind?"

He smiled noting how the woman was dressed. It was simple but elegant.he very much approved as he stuck out his hand to shake hers. He remained at the door until invited in not wanting to intrude in another's home without permission. That of course would be rude and not the image he wished to project. With any luck Viktor would manage to get some funding for future projects out of the family.

Jia paled slightly and lowered her eyes down in a sign of respect, clearly this man was important. The last thing Jia would want to do would be to embarrass the family that owned her, it wouldn't bode well for her. "Hello Sir, pleasure to meet you." She moved out of the way of the door to let him come into the home.

The Master weren't home yet, they were currently on their way home, she was alone as she was a lot. "Um.. The Masters of the home aren't home at the moment, they should be shortly though. Could I get you a drink or possibly would you be hungry?"

Viktor watched the change in expression stepping into the house his assistant only a step or two behind. Once inside he turned back to her.

"What is your name?"

He paused for a brief moment.

"I will take a glass of water if you have it thank you."

He looked around slightly at the decor noticing the expensive nature of everything within his eyesight. There was not a great deal of function to most of the things he saw a good portion of it was ornamental in nature and wasteful. Viktor was not particularly found of wastefulness. He visibly frowned at it all.

Jia stepped back and allowed him to walk into the home, and made room for his assistant to step inside too. She kept her head held high in a sign of respect because she wanted to make her Master's family proud.

"Oh, um my name is Jia Sir." She gave him the briefest of smiles before lowering her gaze once more.

She nodded her head to his question and went into the kitchen and brought out two glasses of water, one for the Politician and one for the assistant. Jia brought them slowly over towards the two with her water on a tray, and set them onto coasters in front of them.

"Would you like anything else while you waited?"

Viktor smiled as she set the tray down.

"Nice to meet you Jia Sir." "Please join me if you would."

Viktor took a seat his assistant finding a spot not too far away jotting down a note or two as the two conversed.

"Where are you from originally?" "I know they have a son but I was not aware of any daughters?"

Viktor took a sip of the water the second glass remaining on the table untouched. He wore a friendly smile as he looked at her and waited for her to sit and answer his questions. While he waited he may as well entertain himself.

Jia frowned slightly when he called her Jia Sir. She didn't want to correct him so she left it alone as to not disturb him. She didn't know exactly who he was but when he introduced a himself, she felt the power. He asked her to join him and she let out a tiny noise and then set herself down across from him.

"I come from the other side of town. Oh no I am not their daughter. I am their... Servant. I help around the house and I take care of all the meals."

She watched him take a sip of his water and watched his assistant sot across from them. Jia eyed the glass of water as she was thirsty. She wasnt allowed to use their cups. There was paper cups for the staff.

Viktor nodded to [member="Jia Zhu"] with a smile.

"I see and do you like it here?" "With this family I mean?"

He saw her look at the second glass of water and watched her for a moment.

"I don't think my assistant will be needing any water........would be a shame if it went to waste don't you think."

Jia without thinking shrugged her shoulders and licked her lips. "its alright. I've been here a year now. I have five years left until my families payment is due." She glanced down at the water and shook her head vehemently.

"No Sir, I am not allowed to drink from the glasses, I have drinking cups in the back of the kitchen." Jia turned and looked out of the window and narrowed her eyes wondering where the masters were.

Viktor didn't even hesitate, as soon as her words clicked in his mind he stood scooping up the second glass and standing in front of her and holding out for her.

"Nonsense..........you are obviously thirsty and there is water here." "Drink."

As he stood there he cocked his head to the side.

"Payment is due?" "What do you mean?" "Am I to understand you are working off a debt incurred by your parents?"

Jia jerked back slightly when he stood up and held the water out to her. It did look good and Jia was so thirsty. "Thank you Sir."

Jia took the water from him and drank it so fast a few drops came down her sides of her mouth. Jia looked embarrassed as she glanced up at him.

"Yes Sir. My parents owed this family quite a bit of money. So I am paying off their debts."

Viktor smiled extending his own half full glass to her setting it on the table in front of her after she practically chugged the first one.

"Please call me Viktor."

Going back and sitting down he looked at her.

"How is it your family came to be in debt to this one?" "The economy of the Capital is doing fairly well unless I have missed something?" "I am from Balmorra myself where the economy is less stable."

[member="Jia Zhu"]

Jia couldn't help it and picked up his glass too and began to drink it down. She practically moaned with pleasure as it went down her throat. She rarely had time to even stop working for water while here. Her first month here she had gotten so sick from being worked so hard she passed out. "Thank you S... Viktor. "

Jia flushed and looked back up at him unsure. "Father worked for them and he..... Was dishonest. Instead of seeking punishment for his crimes they purchased me. When I pay off what they feel is enough time then I shall be free."

Viktor frowned shaking his head.

"Dishonesty must be punished." "It goes against good order and discipline the very foundations the First Order was built on."

He paused after a moment and shook his head clearing his thoughts.

"If you weren't here what would you be doing?"

He smiled.

"What does Jia want to be when she grows up?"

[member="Jia Zhu"]

Jia nodded her head and looked down. She loved her father but he broke the law and stole. "Yes but my father is elderly. So I took up for him." He asked her a question and she cocked her head because she didn't know. "I'd probably still be home helping take care of my siblings." She loved them .

"I have no idea. I always liked to help people. I believe there is still good out there and I want to help everyone see it." Jia smiled softly and glanced back up at him.

Viktor nodded making mental notes at what she said.

"Interestingly enough that ties into what brought me here." "What I am doing is going around and getting people's opinions." "Specifically on what they want from their government."

He smiled glancing over to his assistant and nodded towards the direction Jia had brought the water from.

"If you could have anything in the whole Galaxy provided to you by us what would it be?" "What is it the people need most?"

His expression was soft but serious having no intention of waiting until the owners got back to get down to business.

Joa listened to him talk because his presence alone just seemed to demand attention. She wanted to give it to him as well, honestly she was quite taken by his self assuredness. "Oh nice. I am sure my Masters would be very interested in this conversation."

He continued talking and it was instantly clear he didn't plan on waiting for her owner. "I just.... I want to be free. I love my father but I don't like paying his debts. I don't feel humans should be able to own humans. I umm. I think that the middle to lower class are treated unfairly. We don't get as many opportunities " She looked down shyly.

[member="Viktor Alexander"]

Viktor cocked his head to the side.

"Treated unfairly how?" "Please elaborate if you would." "What opportunities would you see provided to the middle and lower classes?"

He smiled to her clearly interested in what she had to say even if he didn't necessarily agree with her point of view. After all before becoming a civil servant Viktor had been utterly entrenched in the middle class. At the same time she was still the demographic he was most interested in the point of view of outside of lobbying for funding from the Trust Fund crowd.

" We arent given the same chances. We try to further ourselves but get shot down. We arent rewarded some of the prizes,or opportunity that people who make more" She looked at him with a small smile on her face.

Jia cleared her throat glanced at him. "sorry")
