Strengths:
Sheriffs, nicknamed Zombie Jedi Masters by their detractors and critics are Deputies who have survived to old age and grown in power and skill and intelligence, and are among the most effective and dangerous of Magdalena's converted servants. Once Padawans on the brink of death with no hope of rescue other than emergency conversion into Deputies via Magdalena's blood altering them, Sheriffs are among the worst threats many Sith Lords can possibly encounter, their great resilience to physical, spiritual and psychological damage making them potentially EXTREMELY difficult to defeat without being a master or grand master in the Dark Side. Sheriffs will relentlessly stalk fleeing opponents for years on end, and nothing short of death will stop them. Feared since the Gulag Era, where a significant chunk of Sith met their ends at the hands of these warriors, The Sheriff has grown to be utterly loathed by their targets of choice, which are almost exclusively Sith and their allies (Interestingly, some Sith have stated the extreme hate they hold towards the Sheriffs have nothing to do with their nightmarish capability and relentlessness, but more to do with the fact that, in one Sith's words "You can't shame them to buy yourself a reprieve, not even briefly."), who almost always kill captured or defeated Sheriffs, as they don't respond to physical or psychic torture. Many of their targets however, simply do not live long enough to develop that kind of blistering hatred...they either surrender the first time, or they are killed. No second chances. Nathan wasn't that far from becoming a Sheriff himself before he found the strength no other Sheriff or Deputy ever demonstrated, completely rebelling against Magdalena and defeating her, imprisoning her for a very long time until he released her just before his original death.
In modern times, since reconciling with his adopted Mother, Nathan has upgraded the equipment of a Sheriff and both he and Magdalena work to restore Sheriffs to some semblance of being actual people rather than abstract spectres of doom to evildoers...

- Description: Sheriffs are Deputies who have survived enough battles to be considered true Veterans. Living only for the mission, they constantly seek out Dark Side users to to either kill them if they will not surrender, or to forcibly purge them of the Dark Side if they do. They also go out of their way to rescue captured Jedi and Light Side users. The motto of the Sheriff is "SUBMIT, HERETIC." They possess a pale pallor and sightless white eyes, giving some the mistaken impressions that they are zombies or even possibly liches

- Combat Function: Sheriff's are terrifying silent masters of the Force, carrying out the will of Magdalena Bloodscrawl often roaming alone in a Marauder-like mindset, constantly hunting for followers of the Dark Side, often striking from the shadows. They are extreme martial artists with immense superhuman physical traits and are utterly tireless. They typically are pragmatists--though extremely heavily armed and extremely well trained, they are not above fighting dirty and will rapidly seek to use any practical means to turn a fight completely to their advantage. If they can one shot you, they will. If they can CHEAP shot you, they DEFINITELY will try to. Each Sheriff's's approach is ultimately unique, but all share the trait of not hesitating to use an unfair advantage once located as they are often operating solo in the field, just like the Deputies. When around Magdalena, they serve as her most elite bodyguards, defending her and anyone they are assigned to protect with their lives. They never speak except in extremely quiet, simple sentences often consisting of only three to five words, and then, rarely. Their sole focus is finding the next follower of the Dark Side to kill or convert, and their lack of scruples in going about it causes them to be regarded as extremely dangerous lone wolves in larger military units, who may have to rely on them as scouts. Their terse nature and being often a mystery to others makes them difficult to trust

Strengths:
- Implacable: Sheriff's are infamous for being seemingly tireless and inexhaustible, able to fight and function at top condition seemingly indefinitely after other warriors would drop from exhaustion. This endless amount of physical energy allows them to fight at constant, maximum aggression at close quarters, not having to worry about fatigue toxins in the muscles ever building up. They possess Mandellian Giant-like physical strength and their durability is Extreme, able to withstand almost unbelievable levels of physical punishment, up to and including being beaten mercilessly with clubs of solid metal yet still fighting with maximum viciousness in the process. Much stronger, technically more skilled opponents have been beaten by simply being exhausted into defeat. The only wounds, in fact that give them ANY pause at close range are those inflicted by shotgun blasts, close by Grenade like explosions and lightsabers...and in the latter case, even then, their flesh seems highly reinforced against lightsaber energy...it actually takes about a dozen whacks to cut through a limb of theirs. Even if a fatal wound is dealt, they'll still typically have more than enough energy before dying to often take out their by that point likely absolutely desperate killer
- Dreaded: Sheriffs were near universally feared by low, mid, and master level Sith of the Gulag Era, and even Grandmaster Level Sith who encountered them often learned to fear them also. Sheriffs are immune to negotiation with Dark Side users under any circumstances, and even hostage taking on a Siths part doesn't doesn't deter them. While they will always try to save the Hostage, it will not be at the cost of allowing the Sith to escape. They never allow the Sith to escape no matter who they threaten to kill or actually succeed in killing if it can possibly be helped. This has made Sith with significant military resources in the past desperate enough that the mere rumor of a Sheriff in the same area they were was enough to automatically resort straight to multiple artillery or even orbital strikes as a first option to try and kill them, because the alternative is to risk fighting the Sheriff personally, and few Sith save for the most powerful and cunning would want to risk an up close battle. That and they know that Sheriffs don't care about how many underlings of the Sith's have to die if it means they can still reach the Sith (Sheriffs actively try to kill underlings to make an example of them to others). In the modern era, Sheriffs are even more fiercely hated and feared by Sith for their relentless nature than even Deputies. Rivalries that spring up between Sheriff's and Sith tend to typically be shockingly, abnormally petty and spiteful on the Sith's part even more than the normal rivalries between dark and light adepts, simply because Sheriff's are totally unresponsive to the usual tactics Sith use to try and get under the skin of light side users as well as the fact the Sith has a chance of a horribly painful, ghastly death at a Sheriff's hands if they refuse to submit (Sheriff's do not kill brutally out of sadism, but simply to make certain the target has been definitively eliminated and has no hope of recovery). They are seemingly immune to physical and psychic torture methods no matter how severe and brutal the method employed. Sheriff's as a result are never taken prisoner by Sith who know what they are, and are immediately killed on the spot because the Sheriff will never, ever stop trying to kill them no matter what obstacle is used or what sort of or how many hostages are taken. Such Sith may find themselves stalked by multiple Sheriff's in retaliation afterwards. For a Sith/Dark Jedi/Jedi Hunter, being stalked by a Sheriff is something akin to having an actual demon pursuing you.
- Pragmatist: Sheriff's will use whatever method allows them to kill an opponent the easiest, whether at close range or afar. If they can kill you in your sleep, they will. If using the environment or errant military equipment will do the job, they'll use that. This ruthlessness has caught Sith and too many others off guard, and makes them particularly despised by opponents who think of themselves as honorable. The Honorable are always targeted to be the first to die in battle if a Sheriff is present.
- Mage: Sheriffs command a wide range of practical Force powers to assist them. They are masters of Force Illusion, posing a potentially deadly threat even to others Highly skilled in Illusions and telepathy in the sense they can read minds (Curiously, they never try to talk using telepathy). They possess a mastery of Telekinesis that rivals the Zeison Sha of Yanibar, and one of their greatest abilities is to teleport with the Force (Though it takes great concentration). They have even mastered the Alkahest and Dathomiri style magic Magdalena herself knows.
- Scary Smart: Sheriffs, despite their blunt instrument nature, are often extremely intelligent in their approach. They don't take unnecessary risks, and often try to strike where and when their opponent is at their weakest physically and psychologically speaking. They have survived long enough to even mastermind schemes against Sith Lords on occasion, and traps laid by Sheriff's are noted by Sith who have survived encounters as being simplistic but brilliant in how, when and where the trap is sprung. Unlike Deputies, Sheriffs are somewhat aware of their own nature, and have employed their silence (Or even just standing still and staring at their enemies from a distance in an extremely creepy way, waiting for them to make the first move) as an effective form of intimidation
- Skilled: Sheriff's are extremely skilled in range, melee, and hand to hand combat beyond the weapons they are equipped with.
- Chivalry: Sheriffs ALWAYS offer encountered Sith ONE AND ONLY ONE chance to surrender and be forcibly purged of their connection to the Dark Side (In the form of saying their unit's motto). If the Sith does not take it, the Sheriff does everything in their power to kill them and then some
- Lone Wolf: Their solitary nature and often inability to speak leads to them being mistrusted by their own ostensible allies. Their solo nature means they rarely travel in groups unless it's to kill a particularly powerful Sith who has killed one of their own or unless they are escorting Magdalena
- Weak armor: They wear armor that does not interfere with their ability to channel the Force, but it's also armor that is easily penetrated
- Savage: They are not good at diplomacy, often preferring Brute Force as the answer to most problems in life, particularly if those problems are Sith, in spite of their enhanced capacity for schemes. Just because they CAN mastermind an elaborate plot, doesn't mean they will. Most times, they just view directly killing the target as the best solution.
- Reconditioned: The Conversion Process that made them rendered them loyal to Magdalena to a fault. Sheriffs rarely have a life outside of the purpose Magdalena gives them, spending their lives carrying out her orders. While not slaves, per se, due to Magdalena seeing them all as her 'children' and doing her best to provide for their needs and avoiding any form of cruelty towards them after essentially being scavenged into her service, they can and have defied Magdalena in the past. However, it usually requires extreme circumstances to bring this about. That said, Sheriffs have a higher chance of disobeying if they perceive a threat or obstacle their own master cannot. Sheriffs have lived longer enough to slightly recall their old lives, but ultimately view whoever they were before as separate from themselves, and cannot understand certain aspects of normal people, being almost completely divorced from a human mindset, spending their existence in service to the Sorceress of Ossus, acting as her intermediaries. As a result, they rarely have what one could call 'Life Experience'. They don't feel emotion except at the weakest strength possible, and they have suffered personal setbacks in their missions due to the civilians around them rightfully finding their mindset utterly alien and occasionally being attacked by them in suspicion as a result. Jedi have sometimes tried to detain them also for acting too much the wild card in a given situation. While a Sheriff would never fight to kill a Jedi, they will also decisively fight one to resist capture if possible, leading to further poor impressions down the road
- Recruitment difficulty: Sheriffs are merely Deputies who survived long enough to reach true mastery. They are creations of opportunity, and it may be a while before Magdalena can replace one, as she cannot simply make one a Sheriff like she can a Deputy. A Deputy needs years of constant war to reach Sheriff status.
- The eyes have it: The conversion process gives them a superhuman sense of hearing, smell, touch, and taste, but renders them physically blind without the constant need to see through the Force like Miraluka do. In Force Voids they lose their powers.
