Shield Me

Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
Miss Blonde was back in the workshop today and working on a new project. Today was going to be pretty simple hopefully, the concept was easy and the power should be moderate. It wasn't something that would leave her dead by the end of it like the last few times she made force imbued items. Today's project was a simple bracelet that would summon a personal bubble of TK energy to protect from whatever attacks were coming your way. A personal shield generator that ran on the force and could be a focusing point for defensive energies.

Miss Blonde fashioned a few special bracelets that would serve as the workings containers and focal points, and while she wasn't particularly all that skilled in TK she had called up a friend to make sure they could bring up the necessary energies for her to work into the bracelets.

After all the woman was a crafter with the force, not someone who used it smash everything in sight like a savage. It was a tool to be used with finesse and precision to make objects and items that were either worth money, or could be used to further your own goals. Bonding the ethereal to the physical was always something that could be used and taken everywhere.

Walking over to her crafting table the woman looked down at a small set of bracelets each identical to the other. Small sterling silver bracelets that had small charms attached to them, and upon them each charm was shaped and crafted as shield with a defensive cross upon it. She didn't want to brag but she was pretty proud of herself for the design on them. A local jeweler had supplied the silver and done the actual carving, and while yes it would of been easier just to 3D print them out. It just felt more special this way, less mechanical and more organic to the force to have them hand crafted with care and guidance.

Upon inspection each one set and ready to go. The steps that were at hand were going to be pretty simple. Remove get signature from the force, arrange the necklaces, summon the TK working then infuse the power into the necklaces. Your basic infusion process and it this time around she didn't have to summon TK energy.

"Okay, let's do this. You got this Patricia." She said as she shook her head back and forth.

Getting herself ready the woman shook her ethereal muscles and prepared herself for what was to come.

With her mind starting to focus in the woman closed her eyes and would meditate to push down her own force signature. Everything around her would slow and the force flowed everywhere, the ocean's waves crashing on the shore, the tropical birds chirping, the sway of the breeze against the palm trees, all of it just sort of slowed as Blonde reached into her to see her own essence.

It was never a good thing confronting what you were, seeing it first hand for what it really was, and lately the crime lord had done a lot of things she wasn't proud of. The execution of a Hutt family, the deaths of multiple innocent bystanders, her aura had started to corrupt from what it was, that good and righteous angel of vengeance that struck down on the wicked. But such was just the way of life, to corrupt and throw temptation into your path.

But she had no choice to look into it. Taking that aura she began to push it down like a ball of clay, working it and rolling it into a ball so inch by inch it would grow smaller and smaller until it was no bigger than a pin. It made her really think, all that darkness and evil so small, but within it there was still good, just trying to fight all that darkness. But it didn't matter, at least not right now.

With her force signature now lowered and empty the woman opened her eyes and the force flowed through her vision to see everything as it was. Nature glowed in bright and high resolution light, machines and droids had almost a clockwork cycle to them. Everything was everything and as she gazed around her as a tool of the force the woman looked forward to see the bracelets on her crafting table.

The small silver bracelets had a near ethereal shine to them as the glowed through the force. She could see the sweat and pride that went into making them. The left over trace of psychic fingerprints from the jeweler lingered and it made Patricia smile, it made her feel the man's tired old hands and skill.

"Come here." the woman said as she lifted them with the force.

Bringing the group of bracelets over to her the woman aligned them and would let them over into the air. Her part was to be put on pause. Now she needed her friend and long time partner in crime [member="Keira Ticon"] to step in and form the actual TK bubble.

It was rare for Keira to offer up her talents for something like this. After all, she was a weapon of war, a woman-shaped wrecking ball that had been carefully honed for death and destruction. She was better suited for the battlefield than any other scenario, carrying the vague uneasiness about her most old soldiers did in their day-to-day life. There were very few people she didn't retain that aura around, and [member="Miss Blonde"] happened to be one of them. When the woman called upon her for assistance she had instantly accepted, knowing that it was either something only she could truly lend insight to, or a task that wasn't otherwise trusted with any other. In this case it happened to be a bit of both, and she was pleasantly surprised to find that the task wasn't violent.

Thus far she had simply been observing as Blonde - or Patricia, as she had always known her as - went about her work. When her friend sunk into the endless ocean that was the Force she straightened from where she had been leaning against the wall, stepping forward to stand beside the other. Similarly she let herself delve into the ethereal, forgoing any chains of light or dark and simply existing, the volatility that nearly always accompanied her fading away until it spoke of nothing more than her persistence. And slowly, the barrier formed, one created not of necessity or the chaos of battle but rather of a want to help and a strange serenity. It was of the sort that could withstand a hail of gunfire and then some if the one that crafted it was wise in their use. And then she simply waited.

Patricia looked over to see the barrier form and with it a small smile touched her lips, she was happy to see Keira join her in the astral. It was the first time ever the two had seen each other in this fashion and it was nice. It wasn't like looking at another person, it was like looking at a collective. A collection of moments, memories, feelings, judgment, it was all these little things that formed to show what something was exactly made of.

But Patricia could get to that another time. For now all she had to do was channel a constant flow of defensive TK energies into the bracelets.

So reaching up with the force the woman lifted the small bracelets and placed them around the bubble in multiple layers of circles that perfectly lined up with the bubble. Once they were in place the woman started to syphon that energy into the necklaces slowly to make sure they all got a steady flow that wouldn't overcharge them and blow them sky high with the tension inside.

"Keep holding it." she said in her ethereal voice.

To be at peace was an entirely foreign thing for Keira, something she was at odds with, her very existence defying the possibility of such a thing to begin with. In her life there was always something. The absence of anything to focus on other than the task at hand had the probability to drive her nearly mad, and in the past she had come dangerously close to such a thing. Her relationship with the silence wasn't much of one at all, and being left alone with her own thoughts even still was a personal hell she sometimes found impossible to escape. Meditation such as this wasn't as soothing a it should have been for that very reason, but she entered into it willingly for the benefit of a friend.

Her breath hissed between her teeth as her brow furrowed, and she forcibly narrowed her focus to the barrier once more, driving any idle thought from her mind until the both of them returned fully to their physical forms. As easily as telekinetics came for her, this inner peace ideal was an entirely different story, and one she didn't find serene and welcoming in the least.

Patricia let go of everything and completely immersed herself with the force, she let go of all the struggle of being a criminal, all the morale quandaries she had to face and the people she had killed over the years be it necessary or not. It was nice to just let go of it all and with it open to her with complete immersion she could feel that even being one with the force she was struggling maintaining her grasp and and emotions.

So rather than continuing the force imbuement the woman decided to shift the direction a bit. With Keira struggling with her own emotions and actions, she walked over to Keira from behind and pressed herself against her back and wrapped one arm around her waist.

"Shhh, it's okay, I'm here." Patricia pressed her head against her back as the force continued to flow around them.

"Take a moment to find yourself." Patricia said as she raised her left hand towards the ritual.

Her hand began to shift as she continued the working with her newfound perception and clarity. The force bubble that Keira had put up began to dissolve into the bracelets. The defensive power channeling into it and evenly taking the power equally well without overcharging and destroying everything in the room. Hopefully Keira could relax and these emotions she was feeling would resolve themselves with her help.

When she felt an outside touch infringe her first instinct was to tense up, her form growing rigid before she slowly realized that she recognized this presence, and that it was a friendly one. Slowly Keira relaxed, releasing a slow exhale, her jaw taughtening as everything reached a crescendo before it began to subside. The notion of everything being remotely close to okay was something she almost couldn't comprehend, but she pushed past that and drew herself back into the present, the sensation of Patricia's touch playing a bigger part in that than the woman likely gave herself credit for. The physical realm was where she had to anchor herself, as the psychological and ethereal did little to grant her any notion of serenity.

"I can't...I can't do things like this. This isn't my place." She referred to where they stood in the moment, within the astral and immersed completely in the Force. "I'm not meant to be somewhere like this. Someone like me doesn't belong here." Her voice was quiet and strangely subdued, the antithesis of the hardened warrior most all saw her as. "I want to go back. I don't think I can be here anymore." The fingers of her right hand twitched nearly imperceptibly. "I need to leave."

With the force imbue process finishing up the remainder of the energy sucked itself into the bracelets and Miss Blonde was finished with them, at least momentarily. They were finished in the astral and now they needed to return to the real world where she could both comfort Keira more and finish the ritual.

While they still needed to meditate upon the bracelets she needed to take care of her friend first, she was starting to panic and that was never a good thing when someone of her power was freaking out. So right when the ritual was done the woman pulled both of them out of the ethereal immersion with the force and back to the real world.

Now what happened next was something that Patricia wasn't necessarily interested in, but she figured it was the best way to take Keira's mind off what she just experienced. Besides, it wasn't like it would be the first time she did it, what with growing up on Zeltros.

Leaning up the woman grabbed the back of Keira's head and forced her down a bit to lock lips in a passionate kiss. Fruity lip gloss lined lips met with Keira and maybe there was only a bit of tongue, just a smidge.

[member="Keira Ticon"]

At first Keira didn't notice the kiss, otherwise occupied in centering herself and returning entirely to the physical plane. That by itself was a process, but once Patricia's lips met hers the change was almost instant. Everything about her instantly became alert, and she pulled away almost instantaneously, still able to taste the leftovers of the other woman's lipgloss. It was difficult for her to formulate a proper response, and so she settled for none at all for the next few seconds. This wasn't the first time she had kissed another woman - hell, she'd slept with the former Prime Minister of the Republic on one occasion - but it was the last thing she would have expected from Patricia. Then again, she wasn't sure what she expected from her anymore.

For all of her shock and surprise it just wouldn't be her without a comment of some kind, though it took her a few moments to so much as attempt one. "Not bad, you know." There was a slight disconnect to her voice, as if some part of her still hadn't returned completely, but a crooked smile crept onto her face regardless. "That something they taught you in the Republic, too?" The both of them had served the now-fallen galactic power, eventually straying away from it before it fell from what ideology of it they'd upheld. "I can't say I'm interested, but the sentiment is both recognized and appreciated."

Patricia was fairly straight, at her most queer she would make out with another woman at a club to snag a guy that she wanted, yep she was one of those girls. She didn't protest against kissing women and her former job even entitled sleeping with them on occasion, which she very much did not enjoy. Thankfully she never really had to do that through her former career as a Republic agent.

"Yeah and you taste like an open bar." Patricia said as she wiped away some of Keira's saliva from her lips.

"Now that, that's all settled we gotta finish this ritual up. Help me meditate on these." Patricia said as she bundled up all the shield bracelets and set them down on the floor neatly.

With all the bracelets gathered and neatly arranged she sat down, crossed her legs, and pointed to where Keira would need to sit and begin her meditation.

"I need you on this one, K. Please sit down and think about what you love and how you'd do anything to protect them. Think about your kids and how you would shield them from harm. Please." Blonde said with a smile.

Hopefully Keira could push through it and do what needed to be done.

The last thing Keira wanted to do was sink back into the ethereal after what had transpired only moments earlier, but she was willing to do so for the sake of a friend, if nothing else. Stifling a sigh she seated herself in a cross-legged position before the bracelets, something about her form hesitant after nearly losing herself again. This time, however, Patricia at least gave her something more to focus on than an ability that came second-nature and required little thought at all. With something to occupy her idle mind, this would all hopefully come easier. Either that, or she would make something work, as she always had the tendency to do.

Begrudgingly her eyes slid shut, and she took a deep breath, releasing it slowly and measuredly. This process was repeated a few times until she felt a fraction of the tension bleed from her muscles, her focus once again narrowing itself from her surroundings. Into her mind's eye she pulled the twins, Reid and Kaya. That alone brought a peaceful smile to her face, warmth and compassion settling in her chest. There was no particular memory she drew forth, instead simply observing a remembrance of the two playing, even going so far as to draw on what meager talent in the Force they possessed. It was the picture of two children simply growing in a seemingly carefree galaxy, something that was become rare as the days passed by.

This was no doubt the closest to entirely at peace Patricia or anyone else would ever see her, and this was a state she only existed in around those closest to her. Here and now was the most vulnerable she had ever found herself in a long time, but somehow it was comforting, being able to let go.

"Very good, keep that up while I get the gears spinning." Patricia said as she sat down opposite to Keira.

Where Keira was laying down her defensive aura and force energy, Patricia was cyphering it through her and pushing it into the little pile of bracelets. With her own little sigh she focused in and took the energy that Keira had channeled and began to work the finer points of the imbuement into the bracelets.

She would start with the basics, sealing in the power of the bracelet and keeping it locked inside the item. Afterwards she'd have to move onto the more complex parts. But before she could do that she first had to make the power stored inside the bracelet be accessible to non force users.

So with her body tensing a bit she lifted a single hand and started to focus on the center shield charm on each little bracelet tapping into the living force to surround it, making it so if something alive touched that charm hard the shield would activate and encompass the user in ethereal energy capable of blocking most force attacks.

"Keep it up just for a little bit longer Keira. I'm almost done." All she needed to do now was feed the bracelets one last command that would allow more green force users the ability to feed energy into the shield to generate the bubble just in case they didn't know or understand TK.

To have someone else's metaphysical guiding hand influence one's Force energy was an experience best described as an oddity. It was perceived to most as an invasion of personal space and nothing more, but to Keira it was initially recognized as a danger, causing her to shrink back her aura. However, in that same span of just a few seconds she recognized the scenario she found herself in for what it was, relaxing both physically and within the ethereal. Once again she allowed Patricia to manipulate the energy into the bracelets as she saw fit, doing her best to return to some semblance of a center with her meditation.

"I think this has to be the most mundane thing you've ever had me do." Her voice was half-focused, the better part of her willpower focused on maintaining a sort of peace within herself. "The days you don't have me kill someone are the quiet ones."

Patricia let out a deep sigh as she began to finish up the workings. She shaped it so that if you were a force user you could channel additional energy into it to expand and strengthen the bubble even if you couldn't use TK. Patricia was just an artist like that, where Keira was a big hulking brute with smaller amounts of brain power, after all she was just far more superior in every way to Keira and her writer knew that. But jokes aside the woman finished the working on the bracelets and smiled at her and Keira's hard work.

"Well I must say, Keira. This has to be some of the best work I've done recently. Thank you for your help with it." Patricia then stood up, collected her bracelets, then patted Keira on the back.

"Come on, I'll buy you a drink. And there's something I wanted to talk to you about." Patricia then placed all but one of her bracelets into a small box and walked out.

Stepping out into the sandy shores and beaches of Relovian she let the ocean breeze wash over her. Placing the bracelet on her wrist she willed s bit of power into it and just like that a field of protective energy snapped and surrounded her with semi visible ethereal energy.

"Yes!"

End
