Shift Towards an Empire system?

I like the way we are rolling now, but it seems IC with the riots and attacks against us we could solidfy our forces and set up some more structure. I had the idea of making the PMC a standing army, and turning the Rangers into commandos.

Also I'd like to recruit some more force users and rebrand the Scarlet Legion a bit.

Of course we would still be the lords of the underworld, but more like an underworld empire.

The armies would be set up pretty simple, biker gangs turned cavalry, drop troopers for the Raven Rangers, set up standing battalions of troops and a navy. Two battlegroups etc.

Also I want to be promoted to admiral if we could. Keep in mind revamping will require a shift of leadership titles and such. Not the complete abolishment, just a tweak.

To give my two cents.
I created the Ravens as a criminal syndicate, not an empire, not a government. No offence, but I haven't enjoyed the way you have tried to push the Ravens in the past towards a more military-driven faction with these forces and orders. If that is the way the Ravens went, they'd end up like the Black Suns. A criminal syndicate that is more government than it is an actual criminal syndicate.

I've been in the crime RP game for many years now, as Josh would know as we both started together. It's my most favourite type of RP. Once a gang gets its own army, it's not much of a gang anymore, it's a military with a criminal agenda. I'd like to think that people join the Ravens to experience a true criminal environment, one involving espionage, back-stabbing and everything you think of when you watch those mafia, cartel drug-war, etc movies. Personally I think taking the Ravens in the wrong direction could be fatal to what the Ravens were created for.

The Red Ravens were set up to not be a government, and therefore riots wouldn't really be effective against them. Shoot the crowd, what do the Ravens care? Ravens don't run the government, they just run the criminal underworlds on the worlds they occupy. Bribe the government to gain more control over the population. If someone attacks the Ravens, put out a hit on them or send your own boys to do the dirty business. I'd rue the day that the Ravens send out a fleet or army to deal with an attacker instead of a trained assassin.


But I'm not the leader, and I put my faith in Cryax and Josh. It's no longer my decision, these are just my thoughts.
