This material is a closely guarded secret, known only to the assassin-priests of the Shikkari, who wear it as their ceremonial vestments, cloaks, and war-garb. Crafted through a process as ancient as the Shikkari themselves, each bolt of Shadow-Silk requires the essence of slain wraiths, the ashes of fallen predecessors, and the blessing of the Kas-Kissai, the secretive, nameless leader of the Shikkari.

Once woven, the material is not just worn, it becomes an extension of its wielder, shifting with their movements, responding to their intent. It allows the Shikkari Blades to become invisible specters of death, slipping between light and shadow with unnatural ease. To the Embalmers, it serves as a preserver of knowledge, binding the secrets of the past into the weave, ensuring that the old ways are never forgotten.

Despite its strength, Shadow-Silk is not invincible. Direct, powerful light disrupts its effects, making it far less effective in well-lit areas. Unlike armor, it offers no real protection beyond its minor resistance to slashes and kinetic force. Furthermore, it is bound entirely to the Dark Side, if wielded by those attuned to the Light, it becomes lifeless, its secrets locked away forever. To wear Shadow-Silk is to be the abyss, to walk unseen, to be neither man nor ghost, but something in between.
