So...in preparation for a new character, I've started writing up a tech submission for a custom starship for her. It's sort of a custom-built combination of a HWK-290 and a YT-1300, which are 29 meters and 34.75 meters long respectively, which, according to the template guides, makes them both starfighters, even though Wookieepedia classifies them as Light Freighters.

Basically, which template do I use?

I'd go with Freighter if I were you.

A freighter can be smaller than average but a fighter can't be larger than average.

I've got some examples that says they can be.

For templates, 'Starfighter' is the general name given to the template, but it encompasses everything under 50 meters in length.
