DESCRIPTION
After losing her first lightsaber at the Battle of Hoth, Shira Varanin constructed her lightstaff while serving in the Galactic Alliance's New Jedi Order. She obtained the kyber crystals and components from the Jedi temple at Sullust.
At a visual level, Shira kept the design simple, function over form. Inside, the lightstaff is quite complex (a product of its non-dimetris circuitry and its bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse), so she needs a workshop of some kind to repair any significant internal damage. She has done so on many occasions: Shira's lightstaff has plenty of scuffs and scars, much like its owner.
If other Force-sensitive beings hold Shira's lightstaff, they will likely get some sense of the hard road she has walked, the wars she has fought, and the enemy lives that her weapon has taken.
