- Material: Phirk coated Dral Kayatr
- Classification: Long Sword, Short Sword or Zweihander
- Size: Average
- Weight: Average
- Primary damage: Slashing
- Additional effects: Heat/fire, electricity/ion (see below)
- Each blade is double tempered, by default the sword itself is made of Dral Kayatr and during the making process a thin layer of specially treated Phirk is added to make the blade even more resistant. That is why they can easily withstand even the blows of lightsabers.
- Each blade is equipped with a Mono-molecular edge, which makes the weapon even sharper and more penetrating.
- In the hilt of each blade is a very tiny HAPU, which powers the weapon to give it even more abilities:
- Swords can easily be fitted with ultrasonic vibration generator to make the weapon even more dangerous.
- In addition, the weapons can be equipped with an ignition configuration where the HAPU channels an electric or ionising current through the blade and its edges so that the blade heats up and can turn red or even burst into flame (see main header image). In this case, the blade is able to cauterise the wounds and prevent the target from bleeding to death, which is otherwise common with conventional vibroblades.
- All weapons are HPI Biochip compatible, so any vibration generator, HAPU or ionising/electrical current generator that may be found in the weapon can be switched on and off and controlled by thought.
- Many Forms: The weapon is very adaptable to the needs of the user. It is possible to change the size of the blade, the grip, and the size of the sword, from a simple one-handed sword to the mighty Zweihander. One can also equip them with various extras.
- Deadly and Intimidating: Well, not as elegant as a lightsaber, but deadly and brutal enough. The weapons are of average weight, making them easy to wield and the metal blades allow them to exert a lot of strength. All blades are equipped with a Mono-molecular edge, and various accessories make these weapons even more dangerous.
- Burning Hell: These weapons are made of a material that can withstand lightsabers. If the weapon has an ignition configuration, it may be able to electrically overload droids or even computers if they are not protected against such an attack.
- Distance: The length of the blade is limited, so it can only be used in melee range. In distance combat it is not really effective, at most once, but then after dropping the weapon the user will be unarmed.
- Ion/EMP: Although, the blade itself is able to dissipate these, but only what is produced by the generator unit in the hilt. The HAPU itself is only partially protected against such attacks, so a strong ion/EMP attack may be able to disable the HAPU, which could then shut down. In such a case, the special functions of the swords will be unavailable and only conventional very sharp weapons will be available.
- Damage: Even though the HAPU is well protected, if someone manages to cut the handle right where the HAPU is located, the result will be a huge explosion.
- Not a Lightsaber: It's not a lightsaber, such a weapon won't be able to shoot back blaster shots, it's much heavier than a lightsaber, not to mention that even though the weapon is resistant, the blade can still be broken, after which the weapon will be useless.
War never goes away, it always remains. That is why we must also keep up with the times and always come up with better and better weapons. This has always been important to HPI, and although helping the poor is also important to the company, they know that the military industry is where most of the money is. That's why they started working on a new kind of close combat weapon for an anonymous customer. Something that can be used against armour, droids, or even Force users. Fortunately, HPI is a big and extensive company, so they have a lot of great engineers.
Not to mention the fact that they already had plans from the client, they just had to work on them. And Forgemaster Bashnag got even better at designing things as the years went by, so that he was almost ready to hand over a complete design to HPI. For this very reason, it was not necessary for the company to work on it for too long, and soon the weapon was ready for delivery.
Since the weapons were first manufactured, HPI has received further orders, although the Scar Hounds Tribe have also started to manufacture these weapons themselves, based on Bashnag's designs. To do this, of course, the Tribe had to raid planets, as there was little other way to get the raw materials they needed. But if it is true, it quickly became a common weapon among the former Mawite marauders, which can be made in different sizes and is easy for anyone to customise to their own needs.
One thing is for sure, like all weapons, it has its own advantages and disadvantages, but compared to the old and outdated weapons used in the Second Great Hyperspace War, this weapon is definitely an improvement in the hands of the Mawite marauders. What could this mean for the people of the galaxy? Well, time and the coming wars will tell. But one thing is for sure, both Tribe and HPI are producing these weapons nowadays, although they are not sold for armies or units in public, but individual users can easily get access to them anytime.
Not least, the weapons are also available to individual buyers in larger numbers through the HPI Consortium's marketplace.
