- Beskar: The micronized beskar makes these crushagaunts very hard to destroy or damage. It is able to crush metal, bones, or most materials with ease. It can catch a lightsaber in its grasp, and gives the user an excellent grip of things.
- Ostrine: The ostrine, plas-bonded on the back-knuckleplate of the crushgaunts, is able to freeze objects or give frostbite-like effects.
- Power glove: With a thin layer of this energized glove underneath the near impenetrable shell, comprised of beskar, it gives an extra oomph in combat. It is capable of breaking bones and shocking opponents. It also helps with manhandling with people even large types, as a stormtrooper was able to with a Trandoshan.
- Melee range: The user must be in melee/close quarters combat in order to do any damage.
- EMP/Ion: One burst of ion energy near it, and it will disable the vibroblade. The blade can still be used, but it won't perform as it's suppose to be.
- Heavy: Made of pure Mandalorian Iron, it is a metal that is very heavy and dense. This alone can affect combat for the user.
After the Red Coronation which resulted in the "death" of [member="Tamara Wren"], daughter of Ronan Vizsla, Vilaz Munin thought of it best to apologize for this tragedy (one he partially caused with a wrist rocket) to commission a pair of crushgaunts for Ronan as it is traditional for Mandalorians to give a pair of Crushgaunts to one who has lost someone.
They were well crafted by the finest smiths as they shaped the Mandalorian Iron in a size comfortable for Ronan. But it doesn't stop there. No, other properties were applied to it to make it more than just a crushgaunt. Beneath the fabric of beskar, there is a layer of energized of power gloves that gives additional strength to the user in hand-to-hand combat being able to break bones, shocking, and manhandling people. Ostrine is applied to the back-knuckles of the gauntlets making it able to freeze objects or give off frostbite like effects. Finally, a knuckleplate vibroblade is installed on the left glove with the blade functioning like all vibro weapons.
The smiths were proud, yet wary of their creation. Something that Vilaz shared as well, and more so the fact that these would be given and used by Ronan.
