A ship armed with the system (Two rings)
The system, on it's own. This model's heatsinks aren't folded down into the hull like the one on the ship, and it has a third ring.
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Quite literally, the SIC 0-9 is designed to disable & destroy as much as it can with a single shot. On firing, it uses a traditional ion cannon system to generate a pulse of negatively charged ions, and a long series of superconducting electromagnets to accelerate the particle beam at a high speed. While this is happening, a high-power diamond-focused matrix of lasers is used to energize a highly compressed charge of magnetically contained tibanna or hydrogen directly behind the ion cannon chamber, and when the ion pulse is fired, the magnetic containment and acceleration generates a magnetic pressure wave to hurl the plasma out of the barrel directly behind the ion pulse, at a slightly higher speed. The maximum range of 2,000,000 kilometres (Measured from the muzzle, no matter the gun length) is a hard limit, (the soft limit of effective range being around 10,000 kilometres per kilometre of weapon) even on the longest barrelled guns, the plasma shell catches up to the ion projectile and collides, dispersing it into a field of high-energy particles too diffuse to do any damage to anything.

- Manufacturer: Eternal Empire
- Affiliation: Eternal Empire
- Market Status: Closed-Market
- Modularity: Yes - Additional acceleration rings combined with a longer barrel can be added to improve range.
- Production: Limited
- Material: Durasteel (Casing), Titanium-Aluminum Printed Alloy (Case-frame), Copper-Iron Alloy (Magnets), liquid helium (Coolant), Titanium (Radiator Fins), Graphene (Radiator Fins), Diamond (Focusing Crystal), Ion Cannon Components, Laser Components
- Classification: Ion Cannon
- Size: Large (Roughly 100 metres min., variable)
- Weight: Very Heavy
- Explosive Type: EMP Burst
- Delivery Method: Fired
- Effective Range: Battlefield
- Area Of Effect: Pinpoint
- Damage Output: High
- Fires two bolts, the ion pulse and the plasma down the same trajectory simultaneously to disable and destroy a target.
- High power
- Disable and Damage in a single shot
- High accuracy
- Bigger is better with this weapon
- Incapable of firing disable-only or destroy-only, the system must fire both of the projectiles
- Heat generation is extreme and requires a liquid helium coolant
- Power intake is very high, on many ships it will pull most reactor power and render it incapable of self-defense while firing
- If more than one radiator fin is destroyed, the heat generation will likely melt the barrel and cause the ion containment to breach, disabling the vessel.
- Expensive
