Notes From Military Service Record
Cold and by the book, Ensign Vekarr has been a difficult nut to crack. She seems to be hyper focused when at work, however I often catch her staring off into space during meal times on the rare occasion she sits with the rest of the crew. The look she has is one of determination, but its as if she is looking off into the future. Whatever the case its a look that some of the other members of the crew find threatening enough to leave her alone. We get plenty of her kind in the First Order: Backwater or Outer Rim slave children simply looking for a better life than scrounging and stealing for life, but often they don't take to the new ways of the First Order, and those that do often take up the Stormtrooper Legion as they're best off simply being cannon fodder. To join the Navy shows a certain amount of grit. Whatever the case, she has proven fiercely loyal and incredibly competent, but I expect nothing less of my crew.

Biography
Born on Jakku, Sienna was more fortunate than most on that desert world. She was raised just outside of a small First Order military instillation on the planet. A token defense to be sure, she grew up knowing the white armor of Stormtroopers and the sharp, albeit sandy, uniforms of First Order officers. It was obvious to her that the only way out of her hellhole of sand fleas and starvation was to join the First Order. She had at one point thought up a plan to simply stow away on one of the few transport shuttles that made their way to the planet once every few months, but she had seen what happened to even children who tried to do that. Then the thought crossed her mind to lie about her age. Of course, the First Order recruiter stationed on the hell hole that was Jakku wouldn't give a sand-rat's arse. She quickly realized though that the First Order were a no-nonsense group and once they found out at whatever academy they sent her to...She'd be right back in the sand and this time for good.
No. Sienna bided her time and when she became of age she joined the First Order. Her parents were sour that their biggest money maker was leaving, and had even tried to kill her before she left so that they'd at least have food for a while. She'd already thrown her lot in with the First Order though and Stormtroopers were at her door the night before her birthday and gunned down her parents. And so the young girl left Jakku with no attachments and only a hunger for strength, wealth, and knowledge. While she left at the age where she could join the First Order, she was not yet of military age. She spent her first few years ingesting First Order propaganda and history. In her spare few moments alone she studied how to use modern technology and trained her body. As far as cadets went she wasn't much. She was barely above average and only because of her extra study. It wasn't until she joined the Naval Academy that she began to shine.
Tests and trials would put her in direct competition with a Chiss cadet known as Saren. The two would vie for the top spot in their class, but the younger and less experienced Sienna would lose out come graduation. Throughout the game of cat and mouse the pair would play throughout their time at the Academy they gained a mutual respect for one another with the Chiss becoming the closest thing the backwater orphan would come to a friend or rival for the young woman.
After the catastrophic loss at Dosuun she fell into command of several Resurgent-Class Star Destroyers. She fled the battle with civilians in tow with the ultimate goal being to flee to a First Order rendezvous point. Instead she was pulled out of hyperspace by a Corellian Confederation task force along the Corellian Trade Spine. With her ships battered and barely able to fight she surrendered. As the days went by and further news of First Order losses and defeats reached her ears she knew that she would simply be executed if she didn't make herself useful and so when they finally arrived at Corellia she cooperated fully, divulging any military secrets she could at her rank and she instructed her crew to do the same. She willfully disavowed the First Order and defected, using her knowledge of the Resurgents to secure her safety. She aided in managing the repairs of her vessels and explained various systems and schematics, eventually leading to the first Corellian built Resurgent.
After her ships were restored however there was little she could offer. She thought her days were numbered. Instead she was approached by Corellian Naval Intelligence's Director and offered a position in a new program they were on the cusp of completing. The Halcyon Program. She had been selected along with several others, to be "Handlers" for one of the Halcyon companies. Her job was to receive and disseminate information from Naval Intelligence command. She accepted and began serving aboard the CDF II Starchild.
