Description: Named in honor of the late Eldorai Star Queen Silaqui, sister of current Queen Anya who was tragically slain during the recent period of civil war, the Silaqui gunship aims to be a vessel worthy of bearing this honor. Constructed with a thick hull and strong shields, the Silaqui class does not fail to deliver in its primary roles. Performing the tasks of being a heavy gunship the Silaqui class can tackle smaller starfighters with confidence and is excellent for escort roles of larger ships and troop transports. Meanwhile the Silaqui Dropship variant is meant to more often act as a troop transport itself, carrying soldiers and a pair of recon vessels into combat. Both variants bear thick armor to withstand AA fire more effectively, though they are meant to work in conjunction as the Gunship model utilizes its heavier armament to clear LZ's for its Dropship variant as it deposits troops on the battlefield.
