Silver Jedi Decompression Faction Thread

So it was suggested and some ideas presented, after all of the things that we have had happening. Something fun that can be done so there will be a small thread for those who want to do it. There will be if they want to participate an unofficial tournament for those who wish to show off and have some fun.

If you have ideas for other things please post them here I am going to be making the thread tomorrow so ideas and things you can give will give me more.

So soon after Korriban, I don't feel that it's appropriate to have any sort of "fun" thread as a faction. No tournaments or public social events that naysayers can legitimately criticize. I think the best route to take is some lowkey mission thread for entertainment. Writers could enjoy themselves while still being productive IC. Maybe revisit a planet previously dommed in a follow-up thread. This would be a good opportunity to do some world building on Voss, as the planet seems largely untouched from a narrative standpoint outside the happenings of the Academy.

Personally, the trial was my decompression thread. Charzon admitted her guilt, and Suravi was able to say her piece on the subject. Charzon has revealed herself to be a remorseless monster (written by a troll), so that revelation should make the council's path to judgment and sentencing even easier. There's no reaching Charzon, so it's best to just use the thread to vent and set the record straight for later.

Well I'm all for a tournment. It could be a lot of fun and if they critise us so what? We have dealt with the situation and worse case we send more aid to Korriban.

These are the actions of Sith Lords trying to make a power grab. Expect nothing less but the dirtiest tricks that they can think of. Sith are selfish bastards at heart and are only in it for themselves. Honestly the sith characters that had no stakes in Korriban don't give a hoot about Charzon's actions unless they stand to gain from it. They see lives as resources to be spent, aside from a very few. They may act as if they are hurt, but they are not, they probably couldn't be happier because they got exactly what they wanted. If enough slaves work hard enough and long enough there'll be a new city standing there within a year or two.

If you really want to make sure that there's no intrusion to the thread, make it faction only, that way you'll know that the thread can commence in peace. If people compain about not being able to crash it OOC that's their problem.

Overall there needs to be an emphasis that this is all for fun. Colorful streamers everywhere, the works. Perhaps simple games of skill, maybe some food and an area for people to simply talk. Make it a festival more than a tournament

I don't really care what people outside the OSJ think, but it just doesn't seem appropriate to be running some kind of tournament right now given our status as Jedi. If people want to scrap, then there's a whole lot of activity down around Kessel. I saw a thread about a Sith wanting to take a planet near Silver Space. I think it's a good idea to engage instead of allowing the Sith to move around as they please. I also believe threading with the TSO instead of ignoring them would do a lot to improve relations from a writers standpoint. I'd love to roleplay against some Sith characters provided I had some backup.
