- Description: SJ Shadows have no specific uniform, and no specific weaponry. What sets them apart is their purpose - tracking down and eliminating Sith subversion wherever it is found - and their training, which focuses on infiltration and subterfuge.

- Combat Function: Shadows should be able to expertly defend in lightsaber combat like a Jedi Guardian, without sacrificing the more esoteric Force-focused practices of a Consular. Thus, the Sentinel class is considered an ideal balance, although it is not a requirement to become a Shadow. Most Shadows should be able to utilize Force Light and/or Electric Judgement against opponents.
- Shadows: A Jedi Shadow is essentially a Jedi spy, trained for infiltration and retrieval of Dark Side artifacts, and the purging of Sith and Sith influence from the galaxy.
- Ghosts: When a Jedi becomes a Shadow, their names are erased from the Silver Jedi's records; on paper they do not exist.
- Thankless Job: Shadows have always been controversial among the Jedi, often seen as zealots who bend and break the Code in the name of a "greater good". Their clandestine nature means that individual identities are well-protected, but they will still have to deal with the conflict over whether or not their actions are truly moral or befitting of a Jedi.
- Paranoia: Shadows are infamous for suffering from bouts of paranoia in which they see signs and symbols of the Dark Side everywhere, even when there are none. Thus, they are rare and deployed sparingly.

The function of the Jedi Shadows is quite clear: their job is to search-and-destroy. While they are usually sent after Dark Side artifacts, they may also be employed as assassins, with their targets being individual or groups of Sith and Dark Side cults.
This particular unit, the Silver Jedi Shadows, has technically existed since the founding of the modern Silver Jedi Order, although no record of them exists. Their primary base of operations, Installation Seven-Two, is located beneath the Silver Rest on Kashyyyk - and they have been operating under the noses of their fellow Silver Jedi for decades, doing the Order's "dirty work" behind the scenes.
