SILVER TONGUED SUSPICION - Mygeeto Dom

Overview:
Mygeeto had long been a major industrial and financial hub in the Galaxy’s Outer Rim, having been eyed, conquered and controlled by everything from the banking clan, to the Hutts and even the Nemoidians, always playing a pivotal role within the economy of those who controlled it. In more recent memory, the planet had been sandwiched between the Dark Empire and the newly formed Diarchy for quite some time, with the imperial forces occasionally trying to subdue Mygeeto and those who conducted business upon the planet by enacting raids with varying levels of brutality and varying results.

Now, it is time for the Diarchy to finally settle the issue and add the planet to the fold, for with a thriving crystal trade which acts as an essential component to many a modern electronic system and a fully diversified and built-up industrial infrastructure, Mygeeto is the proverbial key to the greater market, the first domino to turn the Diarchy from a smaller faction in the outer edges of the Galaxy to a faction that can not and should not be ignored by those who have remained in power for too long.

OBJECTIVE 1: Economic Policies:

Mygeeto has been rather peaceful despite the regular transitions from one faction to another. The ruling council of technocrats is aware of this and in order to avoid loss of life, but more importantly profit, they are more than willing to negotiate terms with great gusto in a meeting of peers rather than slugging it out in the open. Bring your A-game diplomacy and be your most cunning self at the negotiating table, because these technocrats won’t be bending the knee that easily. The rulers of Mygeeto have deal with the Dark Empire, the Galactic Alliance and even the Hutts, their ruling council is devious, cunning and above all ruthless when it comes to matters or bussiness and diplomacy.

OBJECTIVE 2: Liberate the Lurmen

While Mygeeto is a financial and industrial hub, it also has massive swaths of uncultivated plains of endless grass and rock, wastelands where at one point people believed nothing could live nor thrive. But they were wrong, as the Pacifistic Lurmen people lived in these seemingly never ending stretches of land in peace and quiet, with only occassionally showing their mettle when a leader among them would abandon their pacifistic ways.

Sadly for them, they did not have such a leader when a large group of pirates and privateers discovered several of the Lurmen Tribes and forced them into slave labor at the bases the pirates operate within the region. Seek out these heinous criminals and bring them to justice, to make sure that the natives accept the occupation and control by the Diarchy, it is best to set them free and rid Mygeeto of this pirate scourge. However, beware... these pirates have managed to circumvent the ruling council's harsh negotiations and desire for sovereignty and with Mygeeto being a wealthy place, these scoundrels are armed to the teeth, especially now that they have managed to get some nice stuff from the N&Z during the raid on the company's headquarters earlier this year.

The Diarchy has agreed to rid Mygeeto of these pirates and deal with them without impunity, but the Lurmen themselves must not fall victim to the punishment the Diarchy will meet out upon these thugs and thieves...

OBJECTIVE 3: BYOO

Obviously, not everyone follows the directives of this mission to the tee, some simply have their own desires and their own objectives to work on, something most common when it comes to a place as diverse and interesting as Mygeeto. This place is vibrant in both industry and oddjobs, from mere transport contracts all the way to bounties in high society, go have fun, wreak some havoc, carve your own path...

OBJECTIVE: Deal with the Mygeetan Council

Tertius wasn't really feeling it, after all, he had dealt with the Mygeetans before, having had the disrect misfortune and distinct honor of having to explain his own inability to safeguard his EnSol headquarters on Mygeeto against the sudden, unexpected and quite frankly overwhelming raid which had been conducted by both members of the Hutt Cartels, as well as covert operatives from the now defunct Dark Empire. Yet, still here he was, taking in a breather as he had just landed with his shuttle on one of the many launchpads located near the roof of the large and imposing Central Bureau of Mygeeto.

While he had his guards near him, he felt somewhat strengthened in his resolve, but he wasn't entirely sure on how things would go now. he had managed to disengage and deescalate the harsh tone of the mygeetan ruling council before, but this wasn't about some raid on a foreign company nor was it about the livelyhood of a few thousand Mygeetans, but about all of them and it was that very scope which worried the Eriaduan. Especially when it came to the Diarchy. Diarch Reign and Diarch Rellik were no slouches, with each being quite the brilliant person in their own field and their own right, but neither had been exactly subtle with their rethoric and now they were being thrust into possibly what could be considered the most dangerous arena of them all: the corporate one.

"Ofcourse they probably expect me to be leading the proceedings..." The Marquis let out a deep sigh, hoping that at least one of the Diarchs or any other member of the High Council would back him up in this matter, considering he REALLY did not like facing the mygeetans' ruling council on his lonesome self.

While he was waiting though, there were at least two representatives of Mygeeto's ruling council already approaching the Eriaduan noble, who shivered at the sight of one of them: Murkus Grobb, a rotund specimen of utter decadence and blind opulence, his blubber bellowing with each step underneath the finely tailored suits he tended to wear. This man, was such a problem, that Tertius nearly broke out in hives... "Ofcourse they had to send him...by the balls of all the jedi in existence...I hate dealing with this troublesome figure."

 

[Antipater]

The cavalry had arrived.

A pair of doors opened behind Tertius, revealing a sleek, polished droid in the distinguished olive uniform of an Imperial officer. His rank insignia plate caught the light and shined: five blue bars, underscored by three red and two yellow. A moff for those who knew of such things.

"Back up" indeed. Just not the type anyone wanted. With clipped and measured steps, Antipater came to stand by Tertius' side.

"Marquis," the droid droned by way of greeting.

He had heard a great deal regarding the efficiency and prowess of these titans of industry; their remarkable talent for extracting profit from the ether. Antipater was very much looking forward to observing exactly what terms these people decided on.

Objective 1 - Economic Policies

The House Mecetti Ececutive Shuttle glided through the skies above the Mega-City of Mygnix, where diplomatic talks would be held with the technocrats who effectively controlled the system.

Maldor's hands gripped the arm-rests of his passenger seat, anxiety about these talks threatening to overwhelm him. He had been in many high-level discussions with many important people, but this time was different than most others.

He was no longer connected to House Mecetti.

He was no longer a Galactic Alliance Senator.

He was no longer an Imperial Moff.

He was no longer anything, really. He was a guest of the Diarchy, and he'd promised that his skills would earn him a place within the Diarchal government. Unfortunately, diplomacy wasn't something that could be won with strength, speed, practiced accuracy, or even use of the force.

Diplomacy was a careful dance, and it involved factors outside of any one person's control.

If Maldor didn't pull off a diplomatic victory here, he felt it was unlikely that he'd be given any position of importance. Perhaps his residency would even be revoked. So he wasn't merely negotiating for the Diarchy. He was negotiating for his future. His, and Vyllia's. Their whole planned joint cadet House- Sancetti- rested upon the success of this venture.

The shuttle landed, and Maldor got out to find the air frigid over the mega-city. Far too cold for his liking. He rushed into the interior space, pulling his silk robes tighter around him as he braved the winds of the too-cold world. A protocol droid trailed at his shoulder, untroubled by the temperature.

Inside, he assumed a more dignified pace as he entered the room where the discussions would be held.

"Special Envoy Maldor Mecetti, of the Diarchy," his protocol droid announced. A mostly empty title, unless he did something to add weight to it.

Liberate the Lurmen

The cold snapping wind of mygeeto roars through the air, the downfall of snow, Mygeeto's typical weather. The sound of the wind colliding with the sound of pirates off in the distance. The Diarachy fleet arrives over Mygeeto and dozens of drop ships make their way down to the planet. Among one of those dropships is Ragnar. He sat steadily in one, his eyes closed, meditating on the force. He wrapped his mind around what was going on down on the planet, using his senses to locate the pirates, feel their presence. He opened his eyes to see Diarchy troops around him as with a few others. He thought to himself about the mission. He had just simply joined this brigade, why was he really here, He would have to be working with Sith and Jedi possibly. Ragnar shrugged the thought off his mind. His black robes snug on him yet loose enough not to decrease his agility, hood up over his face his blue eyes giving off the slight usual glow they do. Ragnar felt ready for this new mission, felt focused, which was a good thing as he read the report, the pirates had conducted a raid and became very well armed. Ragnar knew he was in for a fight, and this would not be a quick and easy win, but none the less he would be there to save the Lurmen.

As the shuttle entered the atmosphere of Mygeeto, Ragnar could hear the wind breaking against the drop ship. It had been a while since he been on Mygeeto, but he would never forget it's harsh winter snowfall, wind, jagged edged mountain surface and nearly the entire city of almost every city on Mygeeto was built on platforms high above the jagged rocky terrain. The pilot announced they were landing at Platform 32-B which would be where the Diarachy would be meeting up to set up a plan t enter the city and free the Lurmen and deal with these Pirates. Ragnar nodded to the pilot as they finally landed in the assembly area of the Landing Pad. The doors opened to reveal the wind and snow of Mygeeto. Ragnar stood up and awaited the troops to file out. Ragnar then followed leaving the Drop ship looking around, it had been a while, but somehow, he enjoyed it here, he didn't know why, it was nothing like his home planet of Naboo. Ragnar watched the troops set up a small station for planning then turned his focus to look around to see and wait if others would arrive.

Liberate the Lurmen

Laphisto stood in the main bay of one of the LAET/I MKII dropships, flanked by Commander Tarian and the rest of Tarian's men. The dark orange markings on their olive green armor caught the pulsing red glow of the interior lighting, casting flickering shadows across the troop bay as the gunship howled over the snowy plains of Mygeeto.

The side doors slid open with a sharp hiss, letting in a rush of icy wind. Laphisto stepped forward, gripping the overhead rail with one hand while the other settled on the shoulder of the door gunner, who was already sweeping the LO-27R across the white expanse below. Leaning out into the wind, his tail lashed with anticipation as he peered through the snow, picking out the blurred shapes of at least sixteen gunships in formation. Most bore Lilaste Order colors, though a few flew Diarchy markings. One of them, he noted with a small nod, was Ragnar Vátligr 's. he hadent met the man in person yet, but he had heard great things from Diarch Rellik

His vision was limited but instinct had always served him well enough. He ducked back into the bay, shaking frost from his horns and cloak, and activated the holo-projector built into his vambrace. Across every ship in the strike force, his image flickered to life: standing steady, wind tugging at his wings and tail curling behind him, his LO-56A MKII armor gleaming green and orange under the flickering red light.

"Alright, ground team, listen up, This is a rescue operation first, military operation second. Our priority is the Lurmen get them out, keep them safe." His claws flexed slightly as he stepped back toward the center of the bay. "The pirates are heavily armed, likely using gear stolen from the N&Z raid earlier this year. So don't underestimate them. Move with precision, move as a unit. None of that lone wolf stuff." His voice hardened just a touch as his tail flicked once more. "This is our first operation alongside Diarchy troops. Let's show them what warriors of the same breed can do."

He gave a small nod and ended the transmission, just as the pilot's voice burst through the comms. "Approaching target zone wait… incoming!"
Laphisto turned and looked just in time to see one of the nearby dropships take a direct hit from anti-aircraft fire. The explosion ripped through its flank, tearing it open mid-air and sending chunks of metal and flame spiraling toward the ground. Soldiers launched from the wreckage, their LO-ADS systems activating mid-flight, slowing their descent just enough to avoid being swallowed by fire.

"Evasive maneuvers!" the pilot shouted, and the dropship jolted to the side in a sudden, violent roll. Laphisto chuckled low under his breath, rolling his shoulders as the wind snapped at his wings. "This is where the fun begins," he muttered, then raised his voice as he turned to the squad. "Get boots on the ground now! We're not making it to our LZ!"

All around him, gunships peeled off in staggered drops as flak lit up the sky. Seconds later, LAET/C carriers stormed into the airspace, under carriage letting out a metalic click as magnetic systems turned off releasing AT-AS MKII walkers into the snow. The moment the mag-locks disengaged, the walkers surged forward, weapons blazing, slamming into the pirate's outer defenses like hammer blows.

Zara pulled her coat tighter against the biting cold, but it seemed as if the wind wicked away any warmth as soon as it settled. Her breath danced in the air, a frosty mist quickly swept away by the relentless gusts. Each step was an effort, her hair whipping against her face in a chaotic symphony of wind and locks. Her arms were wrapped protectively around a small, injured Lurmen, its fur soft against her skin, sharing the little warmth they could muster together.

The Lurmen family huddled close, their eyes wide with a mixture of gratitude and lingering fear, the trauma of their captivity etched into their expressions. The wind howled around them, a mournful soundtrack to their silent procession towards the command center. Zara's heart ached for the small creatures, the injustice of their plight fueling her resolve. Yet she said nothing, the wind snatching away any attempt at conversation.

Relief washed over her as they reached the command center, the stark warmth inside a welcome contrast to the blizzard outside. The hurried activity of soldiers and analysts provided a familiar, comforting chaos. Zara carefully handed the injured Lurmen over to a medic, lingering only long enough to ensure they'd be seen before turning her attention to the broader mission at hand.

Shaking off the cling of snow, she straightened, her mind already shifting gears. The holo grid drew her like a magnet, its strategic layout of pirates' bases illuminating the path forward. Zara's fingers traced the line of fortifications, imagining the faces of the Lurmen behind those defenses. They had to succeed, failure was not an option.

But reality, as always, was a fickle thing. The sudden blare of an alarm shattered her brief respite, the news of a downed gunship, a group of Lilaste soldiers, forcing her back into the cold arms of duty. The Diarchs valued these soldiers highly, their rescue was now a priority. "Of course, they'd find more trouble." she muttered under her breath, her frustration evident.

She stormed out of the building, the harsh wind once again assaulting her senses. Her gaze landed on an open-air speeder, its sleek frame promising a rapid journey to the crash site. Just as she was about to surge forward, she spotted a familiar figure, Ragnar, amidst the chaos.

"Hey you! Stray!" she shouted, her voice slicing through the wind with the sharpness of command. "It's time to go, keep up!" And then she was gone, the speeder roaring to life beneath her as she sped towards the distant crash, the cold a forgotten thing behind the heat of action.

Objective Two


Zinayn stood in the back corner of Laphisto 's gunship, shifting his weight like it was a minigame to avoid being flung across the main bay of the ship. His grip tightened on the support bar above, his shoulders jostling against the armor pads of the soldiers on either side of him. The pilot's voice came over the intercom. Zinayn couldn't make out what he said, but the side doors opened smoothly, and snowy wind rushed into the space. The Chiss, being born on Csilla, was used to the weather. He stood unflinching against the cold, and listened to Laphisto's briefing.

No lone wolf stuff? Zinayn couldn't really picture himself alongside Laphisto in the frontlines, batting away blaster bolts and commanding Tarian's Sword. As he was thinking, the ship suddenly jerked violently, nearly throwing the Chiss off his feet. The soldier on his left stumbled forward, nearly out of the left side door, but catching himself just in time. The transport juked and jinked, and Laphisto gave the order to abort the landing procedure and get out.

Zinayn stepped forward and peered out of the left side, seeing the silhouettes of buildings against the white of the snow. Behind him was the growing fire of the first downed dropship, as well as tiny figures moving towards the base.

He looked at Laphisto and shouted against the AA fire and the snow, "I'm headed out!"

OBJECTIVE: Deal with the Mygeetan Council

While Tertius was not liking the situation with the apparent arrival of Murkus Grobb, the fact that the droid who had singlehandedly managed to set things right within the planetary system of Jaemus, a close neighbouring system to the Diarchy and one which seemed to have quite the influx of former Dark Empire vassals, did at the very least strengthen the N&Z chairman's resolve a bit.

"Antipater was it?" For a moment, the Marquis flashed a bit of a stressed smile towards the droid, clearly still a bit unsettled by the arrival of the aforementioned Mygeetans. "I hope your mind is as tough as your exterior...those Mygeetans are no easy folk to appease nor come to terms with."

He hadn't said these words too loud, considering they were effectively on the hometurf of these Mygeetans, but a freindly warning of what was to come could not hurt after all. "Be especially mindful of the rotund one... Murkus Grobb is a really nasty character."

"Esteemed guests, welcome to Mygeeto," The booming voice of the large man bellowed, while he was loudly crunching upon something that seemed to resemble some sort of snail between his teeth, before reaching for another of these critters to stuff his mouth with from a plate carried by an emaciated servant boy. With his wide girth, tiny beady eyes and wide maw, this Mygeetan citizen motioned with his free hand towards the walkway back to the central spire. "Shall we commence our business in a more pleasant location? I believe on of your colleagues...one Mr. Mecetti has already arrived at the designated conference room."

Turning around, the rotund specimen started to waddle away again, happily crunching on some snails, while the thinner man who had been standing silently next to him, bowed and motioned to follow them as well.

At the conference room, Maldor Mecetti wouldn't find himself surrounded by allies, but by hungry wolves, starving vultures and duplicitous snakes. The men and women settled on one side of the long, elipsoidal table all seemed to be wealthy, each with either a venomous smirk on their face, a stern expression or one so utterly devoid of any emotion, one would wonder whether they were even alive inside.

"Mr Mecetti," A tall, somewhat lanky looking Muun, dressed in a sober, yet exquisite tunic of gray silks embroidered with what looked like chromium threads interwoven into the silken fabric, looked at the special envoy with a rather stern look in their eyes. Clearly, this was not their first negotiation and they were seemingly quite certain it would also not be their last. "It looks like your colleagues have been picked up by Mr Grobb...good. While you are already present...could you enlighten us to what your purpose is as you stand before us?"

Orders were orders. Rokul didn't have much information on Mygetto but it didn't matter to him. His eyes scanned over the command centre as he took in the sight of all the beings within. The man kept stood at attention, following through with his orders to keep at the ready for any sign that he was needed. If he stood like this for too long, some of the Lurmen could have mistook him for a statue.

Rokul rubbed the bridge of his nose for a moment to regain focus, before turning his eyes on the holo-grid, taking in the image to memorise it to mind. There'd be somewhere in those fortifications that he could charge through. He just had to figure out where and then bring it up to see if it was deemed an appropriate idea. Though his head snapped up at the sound of an alarm, with him kicking straight into gear. Checking over his rifle to make sure everything was ready, Rokul headed out to go and work on rescuing their allies.

The Lilaste were an ally to the Diarchy. Rokul would not leave an ally behind in the field. It was going to be a substantial journey on foot, so he took a few vital moments to check for some kind of speeder, throwing himself atop of the thing and ignoring the small dip the vehicle had from the sudden weight thrown atop of it before hurtling himself forward and preparing to follow the Archon straight to the crashsite. This was his first operation in the field, and there was no way the Miles was going to be a disappointment. This was all for the Diarchy!​

OBJECTIVE: Deal with the Mygeetan Council

"Dear Councilor," Maldor said, making a delicate- but not subservient- bow.

"The diplomatic, economic, and technologic acumen of your world's leadership is renowned across the sector and beyond," he added.

Sugar before the salt.

"The Diarchy could not fail to marvel at this system as their sphere of influence expands to encompass it."

Despite the suggestion that this whole region of space was a de-facto property of the Diarchy, he touched his chest in a modest gesture.

"Consider me a humble servant, here to help facilitate your world's needs as regional space changes hands."

He smiled a gentle smile.

"It is a historical fact that your people have always been wise and reasonable during past shifts of the galactic power balance. So, rather than risk any unhappiness during the transition, I have been assigned to find out how the Diarchy can help ensure you are properly represented in the Great Forum of the Diarchal Chancellorate."

That smile might seem less gentle now, if no less cordial.

Ravenous - Nightclub, Maribath City​

The night was heavy with the intimate movement of those that barely knew one another. Bodies against bodies in a carnal display of frivolity turned from inhibitions. The drinks flowed smoothly. The chems even more so. As their bodies thrummed with the driving bass, and the lights disorientated their instincts of self-preservation, a svelte figure slipped through the masses of sentience on the brink.

Her wits were entirely her own. Though the dress she had chosen brought the eyes of those lost to the night. But she was not here for the debauchery. She was here for him.

She had managed to slip her handler for the time being. It had provided enough time for her to push forth her own plan, devoid of the handlers constant insistence on Indra purely working as eyes on the target.

Her target, Yauq Mantell, was no ordinary partygoer. He was the eldest son of a rather influential banker. He went by the last name Mantell, but it intel had been obtained to indicate that that was not his true name. While the Diarchy financiers negotiated with the bankers of Mygeeto, Indra was tasked with giving them leverage.

Despite her small stature, the outfit chosen for her seemed to grant her extra inches of heigh. Her muscle tone had returned since the rescue from the Hutts and their tests they had run on her. With her hair swept over, partially covering the right side of her face, Indra was a visage of mystique. A lure set in the waters where many other lures danced.

Mantell was in a booth, several members of his entourage around him and laughing at what he had just said. Indra did not approach, but instead walked past the the booth without even a glance. It seemed the Diarchy's tailors had done well, for her glide past the booth elicited several comments, of which Indra struggled to hear. She was on their radar though, and that was all that mattered for the moment.

In the Shuttle dropship waiting, Razor is playing with the cylinder of his revolver. the sound of it spinning soothed him. He would look around at the troops just staring at him curiously. "What" he asked them. They all shook their head and went back to their own business. Razor then begins loading EPA Cells into his Revolver, this was enough for maybe......200 shots before he had to reload. Once they got near the landing pad Razor could hear the wind and snow ripping across the drop ship. Oy what the hell is going on out there he thought to himself. Once the drop ship landed and the door opened, he noticed the snowing weather and windy cold of Mygeeto. Oh boy is all he could think to himself. He stood up and jumped out of the drop ship, his duster blowing in the wind. He noticed part of the team already, a blonde woman, some little goofy looking goat guy, a tall man in black robes, some tall blonde guy. Didn't know any of them except he was hired to do a job.

he holstered his revolver and started walking up to meet the blonde lady, his spurs clanking as he walked. He stopped next to the blonde lady and spoke. "Hey there cute little thing, you look like you're in charge of this operation, so what's the plan here?" He looked back at the others before looking back at Zara Saga He was ready for this mission but didn't know how to feel about the cold ripping around him, and snow, was totally not prepared for the cold, but he would make do.

Objective One - Economic Policies​

The Diarch was arriving late. Although typical - it was for good reason. Across the galaxy there were problems. Pirates, Slavers, Bureaucracy, and more. He was a man needed in a hundred places a second. With his best effort he broke down and prioritized them to be as efficient as possible and it was for this very reason when the foundations of the Diarchy were put into place that they uplifted certain members and organizations to handle specific problems. His main job overall, was to uphold the vision of the Diarchy.

To this end he would arrive upon Mygeeto. Word had reached him of the vicious and callous nature of the Mygeetan technocrats. - In all of the galaxy there were needs for certain types of people. Yet a value that the Diarch himself upheld was that only for specific occasions was brutality necessary. Traitors, Abusers, and those who valued themselves above all; were the ones who met his ire.

When they did, Rellik would take it upon himself to make a visit as the harbinger of their doom or salvation. So here he was.

As his shuttle craft landed upon one of the designated pads and the ramp lowered. A slightly pre-emptively annoyed Diarch descended through the smoke of pressurized hydraulics in his traditional beige tunic and brown robe. Hands clasped behind his back and eyes gleaming a bright sand colored yellow. Looking from his left to his right and seeing no delegation he presumed the initial steps, if not the overall base discussion of the meeting was already taking place.

Taking the onus upon himself he walked into the structure, where he was officially greeted. With the request for his credentials he simply gave his name.

Diarch Rellik.

As he was directed to the conference room he made note of several things. Maldor Mecetti was in attendance, partially filling the Diarch with a hope for the future. Along with Antipater - whom the Diarch had small interactions over transitioned communicators to his planet Jaemus. Bjorn Akaanir sat along his entire clan, The Mandalorian Clan Akaanir, all of them knew what they were here for, a Mission to save some Lurmen. Pirates, the worse kind, and armed to the teeth thanks to a raid. No wonder Rellik asked Bjorn and his clan to help in this, if anyone culd do it, the Mandalorians could, they were armed just as much if not more then these damn pirates. The Drop ship touched down on the landing pad. Before the doors could open up and Bjorn stood and addressed his clan.

"urnr, sushir laam gar etyc pe'nr, You all know why we are here, need to save these dang tisir adate called Lurmen. Rellik is paying a high amount for this. So let's do it! Par Manda'yaim!!!!

The rest shouted "Par Manda'yaim" Then the drop ship doors open and 13 Mandalorians in red and black beskar armor piled out followed by Bjorn. Clan Akaanir quickly made a parimeter securing the others as Bjorn met with Zara Saga and heard Razor Rockwell try the cheesey pick up line but then Bjorn cut in. "Easy cowboy" Bjorn looked to Zara. "Reporting in Ma'am, Clan Akaanir and myself ready to do this. What's your order?" Bjorn would use his scanners to survey the area, making it a little too obvious he was scouting the area as he looked around at the city before him and all the men on the platform. Bjorn focused on the mission his mind clear as the snow came down and the wind ripped around him, but his suit was modulating his temp keeping him warm,

Ravenous - Nightclub, Maribath City​

Varis's task was simple, at least on paper. Rellik had recently come under the ownership of a force sensitive clone - Designation: Indra Quin. His job for the evening was to watch her work during a intelligence operation on a known son of an influential banker - Yauq Mantell. So he did, observing from the upper deck of the club that looked into the VIP section in a business casual suit. From here he could see Indra making her way across the floor to the table of Yauq.

There was a large scale operation happening many miles away from the club. Diarchy, Lilaste and mercenary's were landing and fighting under their banner for the fate of Lurmen under attack from pirates and yet the two of them were here. Inside a lively building, where rich people who could care less were partaking in drinks and dancers alike. - Disgusting Varis thought to himself.

Upon the personal pin of the Hunter - that Rellik had given Varis, was a communicator with a direct line to his lord. So far though the night was a success. He watched as Indra made her way across the floor.

In his youth he would have wished to be near such a perfect specimen, yet with his old age and time in isolation those days were behind him. His only goals now, were to uphold the values he and his friend had come to create together.

As he lost himself in thinking of the years long gone trapped on Dxun he had a momentary lapse of focus. Where he had just been looking at Indra, she had now disappeared.

Clever girl

- he diverted his attention to the crowd but could not find Indra. Varis himself did not know if it was on purpose or by accident but his senses told him that her disappearance was tactical. His hunting instincts kicked in and he analyzed the movements of the dancers, narrowing down those who were moving to a rhythm vs those who were simply walking.

What caught his eye though was not Indra, but Yauq and his table of guests. All their heads turned at the same time as if looking at something and as Varis's eyes followed theirs to the target, it was clear to see.

They were watching Indra walk away. Seducing them with every step she took.

Varis relayed a short message to Rellik via the communicator.

OBJECTIVE 1: Economic Policies:

Diarch Rellik Maldor Mecetti Tertius C. Nargath Antipater

Rocho Krul was once a knight of one of the Fel empires, with that, came the obligations of something akin to nobility. He'd dealt with minor economic or political issues before, though usually such matters were straightforward. It did help, however, that most of his concerns were rarely significant or capable of being 'cunning' thanks to such a prevalence of force users, and his own sense for it. That, and trandoshans were usually not the kind you wanted to anger by being underhanded. However, the diarchy had it's own methods, and he no longer held the same role, nor even the same body. He was human in form now, and he was but one force user in their arsenal. These people wouldn't know him, and so he would use this experience to test his skill at the tasks. It was time to spread his abilities some more. Experiment with more than just matters of money and materials as he had done in his years as a mercenary or knight..

He dressed in violet , black, and green cloths, with some leather, as well as the cape at his back. Due to the nature of this discussion, he would appear unarmed. Not that force user was ever truly unarmed. But he still brought with him a 'cane'. With the handle wrapped in worn leather. This, of course, was The Beast. A lightsaber axe, easily disguised as such an item, he'd been considering replacing it sometime now. Improving on the design perhaps and adjusting for his new, smaller, weaker form, compared to the reptilian he once was. But it would do.

He arrived right after Rellik, Rocho's presence was of far lesser importance than these others, so he did so discreetly. If he could offer his aid, he would, but for now, it was only necessary he insure he knows just how politics are run here. Such information was important even in combat, to understand the methods of the Diarchy in full. He'd bow or shake hands accordingly, Rocho Krul of the Diarchy. HIs mannerisms had an odd coordination to them still, he was working on that. His leaned more on the toes than the heel, a peculiar grip of objects. At the very least he'd insured he wasn't occasionally sucking air in through his mouth, this simple human tongue couldn't detect things the way his former could.

Prone to preparation, he had ensured his ships would not be far out. The Robber's Crown and its complement of Vesk-class Droid Starfighters were assigned in a nearby system, prepared if need be. Though he doubted it. It was only a precaution in case these people were interested in setting some kind of foolhardy trap. Roble Manufacturing had done a marvelous job with that ship. The more personal ship, The Challenger was what he'd taken to land. Guarded by his sets of droids inside (in bio).

"I hope your mind is as tough as your exterior...those Mygeetans are no easy folk to appease nor come to terms with."

"They only require the correct assurances," Antipater rather placidly replied. In reality he would have shot these wealth-hoarding cretins and placed their industries under public administration, but Diarchy policy required appeasement rather than upheaval. Even for parasites such as these.

Antipater followed silently to the conference room, indifferent to the sound of crunching snails. They indeed found Maldor Mecetti awaiting them there.

It seemed he was not the only stray hoping to find succor among the Diarchy. Unsurprising. The droid had been only dimly aware of Mecetti, as he had been dimly aware of many of the more relevant Lost Imperials.

Mecetti immediately began his opening platitudes. Antipater saw no reason to interject, although at the end he did add: "We are likewise happy to answer any questions you may have."

They were shortly joined by Diarch Rellik and one Rocho Krul. Would there be more? Antipater could already feel the room becoming crowded.

OBJECTIVE: Deal with the Mygeetan Council

Just as Antipater and Tertius were lead into the Conference room, with Diarch Rellik arriving not all that later alongside Rocho Krul, it seemed Maldor Mecetti was already trying his best to convince the Mygeetan ruling council of the benefits concerning cooperation with the Diarchy. Yet, as the man talked his game, trying what looked and sounded like a tactic of feigned humility, the Muun who had been presiding over the council simply tilted his heavy head and looked at the blubbery Murkus Grobb who after inspecting the creaking of his chair, had once more stuffed his face with the same crunchy snack he had been devouring ever since he had brought the two notables in the form of Tertius and Antipater into the conference room.

"I guess we'll see what these assurances are pretty soon," Tertius whispered to Antipater , all the while giving a respectful nod to Diarch Rellik for the fact the man actually showed up for something so out of his comfort zone.

No sooner had the Eriaduan whispered these words, or the rotund figure of Murkus grobb started to shudder, a deep, rumbling laughter escaping from the man's extremely wide maw, dripping with spittle, specks and crumbles. "The Ruling Council has been conducting business with - and on behalf of the intergalactic banking clan, we preside over not just their assets, but the assets of many who are aligned with the clan. From what we know, you are backed by let's see... "

Moving his fat digits over towards a datapad in front of him, the rotund specimen of a man shuddered once again, letting out a bellowing laughter as he looked at a whole list of numbers. "Mecetti heavy Industries...but it seems that this company has fallen on harsh times...not exactly the best reference... Sir Mecetti. Jaemus shipyards lead by ... hmm, Antipater is it? While impressive to have managed to upturn a planet's debts and crumbling infrastructure...I do doubt your liquidity can even remotely compare to what this council considers to be interesting enough... and then there's...YOU."

Turning his attention towards Tertius, the massively sized Murkus shuddered for a final time, clearly amused by this supposed concentration of wealth and industrial power within the conference room. "You failed to safeguard your own headquarters on Mygeeto, your callousness has cost the Mygeetan government a considerable amount of credits in insurances and to put insult to injury, YOU had the gal to allow your associate to move the headquarters of your EnSol division to another sector, and you dare to try and come here for negotiations that would affect not only our policies, but our way of life?"

"Calm down, Murkus... the N&Z could not foresee the raid upon their assets and we can't interfere with corporate decisions that may or may not have been made with reasonable intent," The Muun at the center of the table waved his hand, drawing the attention back to himself as much as he could, his weary eyes turning towards Diarch Rellik for a moment, before looking down on his own datapad. "It says here, that you are personally backed by the House Nargath, who effectively owns the controlling majority share in the N&Z Umbrella Corporation. Do tell me, esteemed Diarch Rellik... having a debt to a noble house from Eriadu with a rather dubious past must be rather... pressuring upon the growth of the Diarchy."

Again, the man tilted his head and nodded towards Murkus, who stood up, his lumbering frame's shadow looming over nearly half of the table. "The Ruling council proposes to all present; that in return of our cooperation in the Diarchy's economic system, our financial and industrial support to the Diarchy's internal market, and lastly our agreement to be absorbed into the Diarchy's territorial claims... We, the Mygeetan Ruling council seek to gain a controlling stake of twenty-five percent in the operations on Jaemus, a controlling stake in Mecetti heavy industries of thirty percent or a payment equavalent to the considered value of this proposal, a share of fifteen percent within the N&Z Umbrella corporation, with lastly a tax free, free trade zone to be established in what is to be considered the Banking Clan sector territories within the Diarchy."

"Oh for the love of..." A sigh escaped Tertius' mouth as he raised his left hand towards his face, rubbing the bridge of his nose in utter frustration. "My apologies, esteemed council members... but this is just outrageous, you seek to gain not once or twice, but easily ten times the value of your own input in the Diarchy from this proposal..."

He was late.. Reign was never late. Yet he had been wrapping up a campaign against a seditious cell on one of the more recently claimed sectors of Diarchy space. He had hoped he would not miss too much of the discussions. He was still in his more militaristic attire, having come directly from the field of battle.

He was still out of his depth here, he knew, but with the gathering already assembled, the Diarch would not dare to miss it. So as such, when he approached the doors to the conference room, he pushed passed the door guard and entered the conference room, the large man's presence unmistakable.

He looked around and noted some considerable power on the Diarchy's side of the table. Mecetti, looking to earn his keep, same could be said of the Droid Moff. His eyes then fell to Rocho and Rellik before settling on Tertius himself. Reign strode forward, the heat of battle still in his veins as he caught the tail end of the Marquis' statement.

"Esteemed council members, House Nargath has been nothing but a friend to the Diarchy and my brother and I personally. The Diarchy is a realm of the future, we do not force the sins of the past upon the present."

He eyed the Muun with a steely glance

"I must echo the Marquis' statements here, predatory propositions have no place among a meeting of equals. The recent conflicts with and subsequent collapse of the Dark Empire have created an incredible opportunity for all present. I would rather move forward as partners in a peaceful transition."

He knew it was bad form to not introduce himself, but there seemed to be no beings as of late that did not know his face.
