Aiden Porte
Character
Coruscant
Jedi Temple
Morning
Vera Noble
It was a rather foggy morning, you could barely see the speeders as they passed along the Jedi Temple. It was sure to be a slow morning for Temple. However Aiden was up and about, he had promised a group of younglings that he would help them with a lesson in lightsaber combat. While Aiden was not not expert. There was some basic things that he was confident enough to teach them. That's what the morning brought him, he made sure to also bring some cookies for the young ones. While that probably wasn't the most healthy of decisions but it was a good enough incentive to get them excited about the small training lecture. Aiden had worked with the younglings before. He remembered a fond memory when they made Jogan treats. He had instructed in that craft just as Master Solenne had instructed him. The fruit made for a good tart treat, tasted even better as a pie of sorts. They reminded him of his sister Addison. The last time he saw her was several weeks ago when he was rescued on Tython.
For obvious reasons strictly training sabers for primary safety. At worst was a small stunning feeling at the point of impact. Enough to teach, repetition, muscle memory. Its better to be stunned now, then to avoid losing a limb in the actual battlefield.
They were paired up now, nothing to complex. Just basic movements focusing on maintaining balance. There was some giggles from the Younglings as someone got stunned. They were children and it couldn't be helped. It was bound to happen...
He did remind them to make sure to take this seriously.
Aiden swapped in, showing the basics of solid blocks and attack movements. It was a one on one as the rest of the younglings kept watch. However it wasn't before long before mistakes were bound to happen. The Jedi Padawan accidentally nicked the hand of the youngling in front of him.
"Ouch!" The youngling cried out as he shook his hand slightly. Aiden grimaced, "I'm so sorry!" The Padawan moved forward quickly to check on him and then he felt a sting on his back leg, and he fell back. More surprised than anything and it caught him off balance.
"Get him!" He heard another shout, completely harmless and playful as he was tackled. "For the Jedi." Aiden heard another shout and he started laughing as a playful tickle and wrestle bout started with all those present. A small break amidst the training was good, even for just a few moments. "Okay, okay you guys win." Aiden exclaimed while still laughing and slightly out of breath. It was then that he looked up and could see Vera approaching them. Aiden quickly cleared his throat and snapped his fingers a few times. "Younglings, younglings." Aiden said calmly with a small smile towards Vera.
"Vera, its good to see you this morning." Aiden said as he glanced towards the younglings and they too responded in unison. "Good Morning Vera."
Aiden truthfully had never met Vera before, however he knew who she was. Had seen her around several times, and of course who her parents and brother were. Aris and Valery he had met, Kahlil he hadn't met. They had been training for over an hour already, so if he was needed for something he could easily dismiss the class.
