Sinbad was born a soldier. He and his clan raided many worlds. They longed to fight worthy foes. Iridorian often do. Relish in the bloodletting and bathe in the laurels of victory. They were defeated upon the world of Galvinos. A fortress planet. He was forced into gladiatorial combat where most of his former brothers died.

Zoltan was a noble upon Galvinos. His father was a shrewd man who observed the world with a tactful mind. He was cold and taught his son to be even colder. Zoltan's mother was killed by a rival noble house. His father sold her life for a rich piece of farm land.

Sinbad lay in his cage on the morning of a grand blood day. Zoltan approached the cage and Sinbad, adorned in scars and tribal tattoos, forced his way towards the youth. The youth freed Sinbad and bid him follow. Sinbad did as he was told leaving the rest of the now freed gladiators to their fate. The crowds roared above as the games began, but Zoltan and Sinbad paid them no heade. Soon they'd have a hundred gladiators among them, all of them seeking retribution.

Zoltan told Sinbad he had freed him to act as his personal bodyguard while the youth sought the secrets of the force. Sinbad had heard about the noble houses and the games they played with one another… Force users made pawns of kings and played them against one another in a constant bid to control Galvinos. Zoltan revealed he wished to be the true king and avenge his mother's death. Sinbad owed the boy a life debt. Most of his brothers were dead, but few had escaped in a retreat. Sinbad sought vengeance as well… The cowards would pay.
