Description:
There is no structure, no set one at least. There is no central building. There exists a mechanism to control it all, an entity of darkness, but it is not within the plane. The plane gets it's name for the simple fact that it is fed, it absorbs the negativity of the victims. This is how the plane is able to exist and survive, and it's purpose for feeding off it's victims is unknown, and ultimately irrelevant for the victims. The victims, however, all share a common origin for their beginnings in Sinner's Rue.
All victims begin in pitch blackness, and there is a light, a bright white light, miles away. Victims must travel through rocky, harsh terrain in order to get to it. Many victims break bones here, but they never heal. Many victims scrape and cut themselves here, but they never heal. Some stay here forever, doomed to believe that the light is a way out, an escape. However, those who make it to the light, step through the tunnel, and are surrounded by white, bright lights. Bathed in it, the victims begin to hope. Angelic and holy, it seems a way out, perhaps a way to escape Chaos.
Then, as soon as the victim feels hopeful, happy, or rejoice, it all changes for them. For eternity.
History:
People create their own hells. Hell is no different. While some make out hell or Chaos to be a land of brimstone, or wandering, lost souls doomed to damnation. But while that exists, Sinner's Despair is an entirely different beast, an entity that only the truly damned or the worst of the sinners go to.
The victims have been here since the dawn of time, and only a handful have made it out. All the others have succumbed to the madness of their own hell. The sins that people have committed in life weigh into the creation of Sinner's Despair. No matter who or what the person did, Sinner's Despair makes the place as intolerable as possible for them. It is inescapable. It is unbreakable. There is no escape, no real way to break it. Those who are placed in this place are doomed to live out their greatest fears, their own hells for the rest of eternity. This place is not for the run-of-the-mill evil doer, but the truly depraved and vile beings of the force.
It is not just the despair and the torture that the victims suffer, but an eternity of loneliness. The victims cannot interact with each other, there is no communication. Eventually, the victims begin to go mad. No one has ever stayed sane in this plane, in this hell. There is no requiem, no break, there is no pause even for a second. Sometimes, it is black as night, and the victims are left to wander aimlessly for decades or centuries. Other times, it is a reliving of the worst moment in their lives, or experiencing an atrocity or evil action they did from the viewpoint of another, forcing them to understand the evil of their actions.
