LOCATION INFORMATION
Capital City: New Pau City
Planetary Features: Primarily urban
Major Locations:
- New Pau City: Name by the first wave of refugees from Utapau, New Pau City is a crowded, bustling area. There are several sectors within the capital that are naturally heavy with independent immigrated species. The general wealth of the capital is low, though some families, primarily human, have established thriving businesses. Despite the division among various species, downtown Pau City is exploding with nightlife and various businesses owned by immigrants, which has inspired clothing and foods to have a unique blend of different worlds.
Metrobig: Located in the downtown Pau, Metrobig is a continually running open-air market. Though located in the Squib sector with primarily Squib merchants, vendors of all species are welcome. The Metrobig bazaar sells all sorts of refurbished equipment and fixtures, imports from other worlds, as well as native clothing, jewelry and food. - Glaska Prison: Located at the edge of New Pau City, Glaska is a moderately-size prison that holds prisoners of the Outer Rim Coalition. While it doesn’t have magma cells, Glaska is a moderate-security facility that generally does not hold particularly dangerous or big-time offenders. Most commonly, the men and women locked up are spice dealers, gang members and small time pirates and raiders. While the residents of Pau are mildly uncomfortable with the presence of Glaska, escaped prisoners and riots are rare, and so the prison has been accepted as a part of daily life.
- Sisio Starport: The planet’s largest starport is often bustling with new shipments of prisoners and refugees.
- The Unclaimed: Outside of New Pau City stretches a vast wasteland of abandoned, rusted out machinery and general junk. As natural salvagers, Squibs have an absolute field day with the Unclaimed.
The Unclaimed Nexus: A small, weak, neutral Force nexus that causes bouts of disorientation and illusions. The effects eventually wear off.
NEXUS
Force Nexus (Optional): Yes sure
Intent: To create a minor force nexus that adds a little flavor to an otherwise pretty standard world, an action I will surely regret.
Nexus Name: The Unclaimed (unknown to be a nexus)
Nexus Alignment: Neutral
Size: Small
Strength: Weak
Accessibility: Located about 40 kilometers outside of New Pau City, the Unclaimed nexus centers around a mysterious starship that appeared to have crash landed on the planet several hundred years ago. Unbeknownst to the inhabitants of Sisio, the ship belonged to a group of pirates who had sacked a temple on Binaros and swiped several minor Force-imbued objects. Though it is not known how the crash occurred, it was likely due to the presence of one or more Force imbued artifacts that caused those within it's presence to experience illusions and general disorientation. Over time, the tricky nature of these Force artifacts seeped into the earth and debris around them, creating a minor nexus of Force energy. The ship and the presence around it has never been thoroughly investigated by any Jedi or trained Force sensitives.
Effects: While not difficult to find, salvagers typically give the nexus emanating from this ship a wide berth, as anyone who ventures too close becomes subject to ill effects including illusions, disorientation and anxiety. Some who have been exposed to the nexus describe the feeling as almost euphoric, though they forget any intent they have at salvaging. However, tales of a great treasure and priceless artifacts buried within the ship have not deterred some, though none have made it far enough to ever retrieve anything, or see if these items have ever existed. Once removed from the nexus, any effects wear off over the course of minutes to hours, depending on how long the initial exposure has lasted.
POPULATION

Immigrated Species: Squib, Sugi, Utai, Pau’an, Pantoran, Human/humanoid
Population: Crowded
Demographics:
- Human/humanoid (native and immigrated) (30%)
- Squib (20%)
- Sugi (15%)
- Pantoran (15%)
- Utai (10%)
- Pau’an (5%)
- Other (5%)
- Galactic Basic
- Squibbian
- Utapese
- Utai
- Humans: The native humans of Sisio are generally resentful of the ORC for using their planet as a “dumping ground” for civilian refugees and prisoners. Typically wealthier than any of the immigrated species, humans consider themselves to be a tier above everyone else. Given the extensive nature of immigrant assimilation into Sisian society, it is impossible for a human not to run into or interact with a member of a different species. Despite these overall impressions, many humans get along with members of other species in their daily lives. Still, some human-owned businesses do not hire alien races, though they are more likely to make an exception for the humanoid Pantorans.
- Pau’an and Utai: Hailing from Utapau as some of the first refugees after the Mandalorians devastated their homeworld, the Pau’an and Utai generally live in harmony as they had on their home planet. The Pau’an, used to living in sinkholes due to their aversion to light, find city life difficult but tend to live in the most populated areas of Sisio. Used to life as laborers, the Utai took much quicker to living on Sisio and can be found working nearly any manual labor job.
- Sugi: An industrious species from Utapau, the Sugi often find work as general laborers, mechanics and engineers. Notorious for being among best arms dealers in the galaxy, some Sugi refugees work on supplying the ORC and her allies with weapons, while others turn to the occasionally more lucrative market of selling arms to local gangs.
- Squib: A large portion of the refugees, the Squib are known for their skillful haggling and diligent salvaging. Squibs often work as mechanics, engineers, and salvagers, but many work with independent businesses or in labor jobs that involve refurbishing older technology. A handful of Squibs make their living as forgers, illegal weapons dealers and gang members. A syndicate known as “The Blues”, headed by crime lord named Sliseh, controls most of the Squib sector of New Pau City deal primarily in weapons and spice. The Squibs are constantly trying to gain more traction and power in Sisio, and there is an underlaying feeling among Squibs that they contribute the most to Sisian society. While generally friendly, they are wary of the new wave of Pantoran refugees.
- Pantorans: Proud and independent, the Pantorans constitute the most recent arrival of refugees. Though skilled, many have not yet found work on Sisio and find themselves restless, and gangs of Pantoran youth often clash with Squib gangs. There are several Pantoran-lead gangs that vie for power in the Pantoran heavy areas of Sisio, but the Azure Hounds are the most formidable, occasionally clashing with The Blues as both groups constantly try to expand their power bases.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
Government: Democratically elected council. Each major race on Sisio has representation on this council in alleged proportion to the amount of residents of each race. However, not everyone agrees that this is the right way to do things, or feel as though they are represented fairly. Humans make around 50% of the council despite comprising only 30% of the total population. Squibs, feeling as though they've done the most for Sisio, are constantly pushing for more seats, as are the Pantorans. Pau'ans, Utai and Sugi are relatively comfortable with their amount of representation and have formed a sort of minor 'Utapau Alliance' as they tend to get along better with other Utapauans, though are generally well received by most races on Sisio.
Affiliation: The Outer Rim Coalition
Wealth: Low-Moderate, primarily made up of refugees and prisoners.
Stability: Medium. Though there is occasionally some minor civil unrest, mostly caused by gang clashes, Sisio has been fortunate to see little in the way of public revolt or rebellion. Crime lords vye for control of their respective sectors and occasionally civilians are caught in the crossfire, but are largely left out of the equation so long as they pay protection money. A prison break several years ago caused widespread panic in Pau City. Though the escaped prisoners were eventually detained and shipped off-world to a maximum security facility and no civilians were harmed, this did not help residents of Pau City to feel particularly safe with having a prison in their town.
Freedom & Oppression: Most residents of Sisio enjoy typical planetary freedom. They may roam wherever they wish, and abide by standard galactic laws. While illegal, there is a thriving market for spice and other stimulants.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
Military: Under the protection of the Outer Rim Coalition, but not heavily militarized. Planetary shielding is in effect, and there are several minor bases for ORC personnel around the planet. Sisio has no assigned Judge, but Judges of lower-intermediate rank are often assigned tours on Sisio in order to gain experience. The extent of their work goes towards ensuring the day-to-day safety of Sisians, breaking up gang fights and patrolling the streets. Sisians are free to join the local militia that aid the ORC in law enforcement. Those that do typically gain slightly better accommodations, leading to some mild disgruntlement among the population in general for 'unfair treatment'.
Technology: Galactic standard
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Not the most notable of worlds, Sisio sits on the edge of the Outer Rim. Originally a small-time shipping hub, Sisio has since seen an urban explosion as the world became a destination for some Outer Rim refugees and prisoners.
With the fall of the Galactic Alliance and hostile relations with the First Order, Sith and Mandalorians, the Outer Rim Coalition scrambled to come up with a solution to the simultaneous problem of being invaded by heavily militarized galactic powers, and where to put some of the people displaced by war. Sisio, an urban yet not highly developed planet with plenty of space was chosen as one of the designated refugee planets. The inundation of refugees from Utapau, Skor II and Pantora has caused the population to swell, leading to an ever-expanding development of the sprawling capital and several smaller cities.
An industrious urban planet, Sisio is home to a number of refugees who have fled the various warzones of the Outer Rim after their home came under assault by various external forces. Though some consider their time on Sisio to be a temporary fixture until they figure out their next step, many have settled into a routine and have built families with no intent of leaving the planet. Though life on Sisio may be less than glamorous, it provides shelter to many species and is considered to be a racial and cultural melting pot. The native humans of Sisio are somewhat resentful of the ORC for using their world as a hub for refugees and prisoners, though some have begun to welcome the change as it’s allowed for Sisio to expand. Similarly, refugees dislike the idea of being transported to a planet where the ORC also puts some of it’s prisoners.
Given that the ORC isn’t a particularly wealthy power, creating a place to house refugees was sort of a “learn as you go” situation. Still, the Coalition does not ignore Sisio and continues to pour resources into the planet when they can. The citizens of Sisio do not go unclothed or hungry, and there is a large ongoing effort to rehouse many refugees into permanent dwellings. The streets of Sisio aren’t particularly safe after dark, but denizens of New Pau City have quickly learned which areas are safer than others, especially according to species. Though life on Sisio is hard, New Pau City is home to lively cultural celebrations.
