- Blaster Protection: The military uniform is primarily woven out of Shell Spider silk, which provides strong protection against energy-based weapons such as blasters.
- Light & Fitting: Each uniform is custom-tailored to the particular officer's exact measurements, no matter what species or gender they belonged to. The material used in the uniform was light and allowed for freedom of movement when worn, with the only rigid elements being the protective armor worn during combat operations.
- Easy to spot Rank: Because of the very specific coloring of each uniform in accordance with their rank, it is very easy to spot the highest-ranking officer in any given circumstance. This does have the benefit of lower-ranking soldiers being able to identify their commanding officers, but also comes with the risk of being targeted by enemy soldiers.
- Primarily Non-Combat: Being as this armor is reserved for officers and off-duty soldiers rather than soldiers on the front lines and has average protection against kinetic, sonic, EMP, and environmental dangers. Officers who lead from behind the lines often wear protective helmets and cuirasses to minimize risk.
The Sith Empire prided itself on its technological uniformity and the visual power of its officers and soldiers united against a disorderly horde of anarchism beyond its borders. When a citizen of the Empire looked upon a soldier in full battle regalia they were struck by the power of the Empire's visage, and the same proved true for individuals wearing the stylish and heavily authoritarian military vestments of the Empire's Officer Corps.
The uniform jacket was a short-skirted double-breasted tunic made of gaberwool that fastened with snap closures on the inside, that when closed made a vertical left over right closure. The tunic featured a round choker collar and its skirt extended halfway between the hip and the knee. The trousers were flared in the hips and thighs, narrowing at the cuffs so they could be more easily tucked into their wearers' boots. Officers wore a pair of black, durasteel-toed knee boots with turndown topside cuffs. Common additions to the uniform could include a brimmed command Kapi and a belt, both featuring an officer's disk.
Uniform colors varied depending on the service branch and rank tier, which was the primary indication of service and rank alongside shoulder patches and collar badges. The Sith Empire deliberately avoided the more conventional breast rank plaque system employed by other Imperial governments to distinguish themselves as a separate entity and to ingratiate the soldiers and citizens of the Empire with a more ritualistic and stylized method of hierarchy.
An armband system was also employed by the Organization For The Defense Of Imperial Superiority to inspire greater heights of fanaticism and loyalty.
