Sith Honorifics & Legacy Adornments
These honorifics represent more than medals—they are symbols of identity, devotion, madness, glory, and transformation. In-character, they are among the highest marks of recognition within the Sith Order: tokens of ritual, legacy, and status. Out-of-character, they are also writing achievements. Each one is tied to a type of storytelling we want to encourage—bold character arcs, internal struggle, philosophical inquiry, or terrifying triumphs.
They are not just trophies. They are waypoints. Every crown, sash, or scar marks a path your character walked—through fire, betrayal, or transcendence. If you're looking for ways to deepen your character or find a new angle in your narrative, these honors offer a roadmap. Some will come naturally. Others must be earned through pain, plot, and power.
Use this thread as a reference and a goalpost. Earn them IC through deeds. Claim them OOC through great writing. Become more than Sith. Become legendary.
If you have ideas for one, or want to claim one, use the following templates:

Honorifics |
- Honorific: Order of the Crimson Bloom
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A ritual crown woven from deep crimson Sithblood orchids, given only once in a lifetime to those who have become more than Sith — figures of myth, of horror, of reverence. It is worn only for the ceremony, then preserved forever in a reliquary.
- Ceremony Description: Recipients are brought before a pyre of broken weapons and whispered oaths. Their name is spoken once, then never again during the rite. The crown is placed upon their brow by a Triumvir or the Dark Lord themself. The honorific marks the end of a mortal legacy and the beginning of legend.
- How to Get It IC: Awarded posthumously or upon "ascension" — when a Sith becomes a transcendent figure, like a living god or martyr.
- How to Get It OOC: Given to characters with long-term impact on the faction's lore (multiple major arcs, high-level influence, or creation of foundational events). Requires at least one completed solo or collaborative story thread reflecting sacrifice, legacy, or transformation.
- Honorific: The Veil-Torn Sash
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A long, blood-red sash inscribed with fading Sith script. It symbolizes survival through the impossible — void storms, corrupted worlds, and spiritual annihilation.
- Ceremony Description: The sash is draped over the recipient in a sacred place defiled by war — often a tomb, crater, or ancient altar. They must speak aloud their memory of the void and what they left behind.
- How to Get It IC: Awarded to those who return from nether incursions, Force anomalies, or extradimensional horrors.
- How to Get It OOC: Earned by writing in at least one surreal, metaphysical, or horror-themed arc (e.g., Netherworld, Sithspawn realm, time fracture). Demonstrates creative narrative risk, inner reflection, and eerie tension.
- Honorific: The Whisperer's Coil
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A chain worn as a wrap around the arm or throat, with a charm of a serpent devouring its tail. It reflects unwavering loyalty — particularly in rooting out heresy, betrayal, and moral hesitation.
- Ceremony Description: Bestowed by an Inquisitor or enforcer after a public act of enforcement or punishment. The chain is tightened briefly until pain is nearly unbearable, then released.
- How to Get It IC: Given to those who carry out executions, suppress insurrections, or enforce doctrine with absolute conviction.
- How to Get It OOC: Requires threads where the character enforces Sith orthodoxy or destroys dissent — especially when it challenges the character's own limits. Also awarded to writers who help facilitate factional intrigue, drama, or discipline arcs.
- Honorific: Lapel of the Silent Fang
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A small, hidden pin in the shape of a spider fanging an eye — rarely seen but always feared. This is the assassin's mark.
- Ceremony Description: The pin is not presented. It is placed silently in the character's chamber after a kill. Sometimes it is simply worn — and others must infer what was done.
- How to Get It IC: For those who complete key assassinations, sabotage missions, or political subversions.
- How to Get It OOC: Earned through impactful storylines involving stealth, assassination, or manipulation. Must complete at least one mission thread that removes a player or NPC with factional consequence.
- Honorific: The Ossuary Mantle
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A bone mantle worn like a yoke, built from alchemically treated Sithspawn remains. It represents mastery of death, flesh, and transformation.
- Ceremony Description: Awarded at a sacrificial rite where the recipient binds a Sithspawn or warps a living thing. The bones are carried from the beast or test subject itself.
- How to Get It IC: For the creation of a new Sithspawn species, mutation, or alchemical construct.
- How to Get It OOC: Requires threads that explore Sith Alchemy or Fleshcrafting. Must involve at least one transformation scene (of self or others), and result in a persistent narrative consequence or NPC/entity.
- Honorific: Chain of Ten Thousand Eyes
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A necklace of tiny crystal eyes. Each eye represents a piece of stolen knowledge, secrets dragged screaming into the open.
- Ceremony Description: A darkened circle of watchers chant lies and truths. The recipient places the chain around their own neck after revealing a secret none knew.
- How to Get It IC: Given to spies, informants, or sorcerers who uncover major truths or break enemies through information.
- How to Get It OOC: Awarded for investigative arcs or threads involving espionage, memory magic, or unraveling hidden lore. Must alter the direction of a story or reveal something dangerous and important.
- Honorific: The Scarlet Tongue
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A shoulder-bound cordconsisting of multiple braided strands of deep crimson, often worn looped under the right arm and attached to the chest of the outer cloak or armor. Instead of purely fabric, the cords are interlaced with threads treated in Sith alchemy—infused with iron from blood, shimmersilk, and crystallized vocal essences harvested from ritual incantations. Each one pulses faintly with heat or tone when lies are spoken nearby.
The cord is often tipped with a blackened fang-shaped charm, meant to rest near the wearer's heart—a reminder that the voice is a weapon, and seduction is merely a quieter form of domination. - Ceremony Description: Bestowed before a public rally, debate, or psychological trial. The recipient must sway a crowd, enemy, or rival Sith during the rite.
- How to Get It IC: For orators, diplomats, or manipulators who change the course of a social or political situation through rhetoric.
- How to Get It OOC: Earned by completing threads involving successful diplomacy, betrayal, or seduction — especially when speech, not violence, was the primary weapon. Writers must showcase emotional leverage and verbal dominance.
- Honorific: The Emberbrand
- Sub: (X)
- Description:
- The Emberbrand is a burned-in Sith glyph, unique in shape but always drawn from ancient, forbidden lexicons. Each symbol represents a principle, phrase, or binding drawn from Sith philosophy—such as Dominion, Wrath, Entropy, Ascendance, Silence, or Ruin.
The scar is typically placed over a key point of vulnerability—the throat (voice), chest (will), or spine (submission), but some bear them across the eye, hand, or back depending on the rite. The glyph glows faintly when the bearer draws heavily on the Dark Side. - Ceremony Description: Done in private, often by the character themselves. Branding iron. Silence. Pain. Survival.
- How to Get It IC: For those who undergo grievous injury, mutilation, or self-harm for power, loyalty, or endurance.
- How to Get It OOC: Given to characters who experience permanent or transformative physical consequences during a thread. Also valid for those who roleplay augmentations, Sith prosthetics, or body horror arcs.
- Honorific: The Shackled Star
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A wristband forged from the subject's original restraints. It honors those who were once broken — and broke their chains.
- Ceremony Description: The original chain is melted down and reforged publicly. The recipient declares what they were, and what they are now.
- How to Get It IC: For former prisoners, slaves, or Jedi who now serve the Sith cause.
- How to Get It OOC: Awarded for redemption or fall arcs. Must write a sustained transformation storyline (at least 2 threads) where the character transitions allegiance and identity.
- Honorific: The Hollow Medallion
- Sub: (X)
- Description: A clear crystal disk that glows faintly in the dark. Worn over the heart, it honors the forgotten.
- Ceremony Description: There is none. The medallion is found. Given by no one, and returned by none. You simply know when you've earned it.
- How to Get It IC: For those who die unrecognized or sacrifice in silence. Also worn by survivors of such Sith.
- How to Get It OOC: Given to characters who die off-screen or without glory, but whose death enables the success of others. Writers who embrace tragic endings or let their character disappear without triumph are candidates.
- Honorific name: Scales of the Old Serpent
- Sub: (X)
- Description: Links of overlapping metal scales, worn over the heart. Granted to an apprentice who butchers their master and takes their place.
- Ceremony Description: The recipient is cornered and held down, often in the midst of celebrating their victory, and the Scales pinned to their flesh.
- How to get it IC: Granted to an apprentice who butchers their master and takes their place.
- How to get it OOC: As an apprentice, assassinate or duel your master (Sith Lord) and win, taking over their position or stealing their power.
Medals |
- Medal: The Bastion Shard
- Description: A jagged shard of reforged armor, etched with the name of the campaign where the wearer endured. Symbolizes the act of shielding others at personal cost.
- Ceremony Description: The fragment is pulled from a crucible of fire and blood. The recipient must hold it barehanded before it is affixed to their armor or sash.
- How to Get It IC: For defending a location, superior, or squad against overwhelming force and surviving grievous injury.

Campaign Medals |
These are for individual Dominions, Populates, Junctions, or anything specific thread.
WIP
More medals may be awarded in special campaigns or operations. These represent recurring battlefield glories. Like the greater honorifics, they should shape a character's legend—but they also mark where the blood began to flow.
