Intent: To develop a new flechette shotgun for the Sith Empire.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Vulcan Industries.
Model: Tri-Shot Flechette Shotgun
Affiliation: Sith Empire
Modularity: Yes
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Alusteel(structural parts), Deuterium/Tritium(microfusion cell)
Description: Sith standardization policies brought up an opening for an interesting weapon - a flechette launcher, or flechette shotgun, for their army. The Subach answer was to provide a weapon similar to the tri-shot utilized by some variants of Super Battle Droid in the Clone Wars.
Three distinct blaster systems are set up next to one another, powered by a single microfusion cell. While the three blasters-in-a-row allow for an excellent tri-shot effect at close range, their accuracy peters off at farther ranges. As well, the weapon is not designed to be fired quickly, and as such, takes its time. The flechette nature of their energy rounds makes them exceptionally deadly at close range, but their stopping power peters off the farther away a target is.
Classification: Flechette Shotgun
Size: Handheld
Status: Military
Length: 1m
Weight: 3.5kg
Ammunition Type: Microfusion cell
Ammunition Capacity: 16(48 rounds, 3 used per shot)
Effective Range: 50m
Time Until Armory Overhaul: 500 rounds
Strengths: Excellent stopping power, relatively lightweight
Weaknesses: Below-average durability, ammunition feaster
